¹ These are the kings of the land east of the Jordan River that the people of Israel defeated. Israel also took possession of their lands from the Arnon Valley to Mount Hermon, and all the eastern plains.

¹ O povo de Israel havia derrotado os reis que moravam a leste do rio Jordão e ocupado as suas terras. Essas terras iam desde o vale do Arnom, subindo o vale do Jordão, até o monte Hermom. Os reis que os israelitas derrotaram são citados em seguida.

⁷ These are the kings of the land west of the Jordan River that Joshua and the people of Israel defeated. ⌞Their lands extended⌟ from Baal Gad in the valley of Lebanon to Mount Halak which rises toward Seir. Joshua gave it as a possession to Israel, dividing it among the tribes.

⁷ Josué e o povo de Israel derrotaram todos os reis das terras que ficam a oeste do rio Jordão, desde Baal-Gade, no vale do Líbano, até o monte Halaque, na direção de Seir. Josué dividiu essas terras entre as tribos, para serem delas para sempre.

⁸ It included the mountains, foothills, plains, slopes, desert, and the Negev ⌞that the⌟ Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites ⌞had possessed⌟.
