Jó 6

King James (Authorized) Version (ENG-KJV2006)

But Job|strong="H0347" answered|strong="H6030" and said|strong="H0559",

Oh that|strong="H3863" my grief|strong="H3708" were throughly|strong="H8254" weighed|strong="H8254", and my calamity|strong="H1942" laid|strong="H5375" in the balances|strong="H3976" together|strong="H3162"!

For now it would be heavier|strong="H3513" than the sand|strong="H2344" of the sea|strong="H3220": therefore my words|strong="H1697" are swallowed up|strong="H3886".

For the arrows|strong="H2671" of the Almighty|strong="H7706" are within|strong="H5978" me, the poison|strong="H2534" whereof drinketh up|strong="H8354" my spirit|strong="H7307": the terrors|strong="H1161" of God|strong="H0433" do set themselves in array|strong="H6186" against me.

Doth the wild ass|strong="H6501" bray|strong="H5101" when he hath grass|strong="H1877"? or loweth|strong="H1600" the ox|strong="H7794" over his fodder|strong="H1098"?

Can that which is unsavoury|strong="H8602" be eaten|strong="H0398" without salt|strong="H4417"? or is there|strong="H3426" any taste|strong="H2940" in the white|strong="H7388" of an egg|strong="H2495"?

The things that my soul|strong="H5315" refused|strong="H3985" to touch|strong="H5060" are as my sorrowful|strong="H1741" meat|strong="H3899".

Oh that I might have|strong="H0935" my request|strong="H7596"; and that God|strong="H0433" would grant|strong="H5414" me the thing that I long for|strong="H8615"!

Even that it would please|strong="H2974" God|strong="H0433" to destroy|strong="H1792" me; that he would let loose|strong="H5425" his hand|strong="H3027", and cut me off|strong="H1214"!

Then should I yet have comfort|strong="H5165"; yea, I would harden|strong="H5539" myself in sorrow|strong="H2427": let him not spare|strong="H2550"; for I have not concealed|strong="H3582" the words|strong="H0561" of the Holy One|strong="H6918".

What is my strength|strong="H3581", that I should hope|strong="H3176"? and what is mine end|strong="H7093", that I should prolong|strong="H0748" my life|strong="H5315"?

Is my strength|strong="H3581" the strength|strong="H3581" of stones|strong="H0068"? or is my flesh|strong="H1320" of brass|strong="H5153"?

Is not my help|strong="H5833" in me? and is wisdom|strong="H8454" driven quite|strong="H5080" from me?

To him that is afflicted|strong="H4523" pity|strong="H2617" should be shewed from his friend|strong="H7453"; but he forsaketh|strong="H5800" the fear|strong="H3374" of the Almighty|strong="H7706".

My brethren|strong="H0251" have dealt deceitfully|strong="H0898" as a brook|strong="H5158", and as the stream|strong="H0650" of brooks|strong="H5158" they pass away|strong="H5674";

Which are blackish|strong="H6937" by reason of the ice|strong="H7140", and wherein the snow|strong="H7950" is hid|strong="H5956":

What time|strong="H6256" they wax warm|strong="H2215", they vanish|strong="H6789": when it is hot|strong="H2527", they are consumed out|strong="H1846" of their place|strong="H4725".

The paths|strong="H0734" of their way|strong="H1870" are turned aside|strong="H3943"; they go|strong="H5927" to nothing|strong="H8414", and perish|strong="H0006".

The troops|strong="H0734" of Tema|strong="H8485" looked|strong="H5027", the companies|strong="H1979" of Sheba|strong="H7614" waited|strong="H6960" for them.

They were confounded|strong="H0954" because they had hoped|strong="H0982"; they came|strong="H0935" thither, and were ashamed|strong="H2659".

For now ye are nothing; ye see|strong="H7200" my casting down|strong="H2866", and are afraid|strong="H3372".

Did I say|strong="H0559", Bring|strong="H3051" unto me? or, Give a reward|strong="H7809" for me of your substance|strong="H3581"?

Or, Deliver|strong="H4422" me from the enemy’s|strong="H6862" hand|strong="H3027"? or, Redeem|strong="H6299" me from the hand|strong="H3027" of the mighty|strong="H6184"?

Teach|strong="H3384" me, and I will hold my tongue|strong="H2790": and cause me to understand|strong="H0995" wherein I have erred|strong="H7686".

How forcible|strong="H4834" are right|strong="H3476" words|strong="H0561"! but what doth your arguing|strong="H3198" reprove|strong="H3198"?

Do ye imagine|strong="H2803" to reprove|strong="H3198" words|strong="H4405", and the speeches|strong="H0561" of one that is desperate|strong="H2976", which are as wind|strong="H7307"?

Yea, ye overwhelm|strong="H5307" the fatherless|strong="H3490", and ye dig|strong="H3738" a pit for your friend|strong="H7453".

Now therefore be content|strong="H2974", look|strong="H6437" upon me; for it is evident|strong="H6440" unto you if I lie|strong="H3576".

Return|strong="H7725", I pray you, let it not be iniquity|strong="H5766"; yea, return again|strong="H7725", my righteousness|strong="H6664" is in it.

Is there|strong="H3426" iniquity|strong="H5766" in my tongue|strong="H3956"? cannot my taste|strong="H2441" discern|strong="H0995" perverse things|strong="H1942"?
