2 For|strong="G1063" there was|strong="G2680" a tabernacle|strong="G4633" made|strong="G2680"; the first|strong="G4413", where|strong="G3739"in|strong="G1722" was the candlestick|strong="G3087", and|strong="G2532" the table|strong="G5132", and|strong="G2532" the shewbread|strong="G4286"; which|strong="G3748" is called|strong="G3004" the sanctuary|strong="G0039".
3 And|strong="G1161" after|strong="G3326" the|strong="G2665" second|strong="G1208" veil|strong="G2665", the tabernacle|strong="G4633" which is called|strong="G3004" the Holiest|strong="G0039" of all|strong="G0039";
4 Which had|strong="G2192" the|strong="G2369" golden|strong="G5552" censer|strong="G2369", and|strong="G2532" the ark|strong="G2787" of the covenant|strong="G1242" overlaid|strong="G4028" round about|strong="G3840" with gold|strong="G5553", where|strong="G3739"in|strong="G1722" was the|strong="G4713" golden|strong="G5552" pot|strong="G4713" that had|strong="G2192" manna|strong="G3131", and|strong="G2532" Aaron’s|strong="G0002" rod|strong="G4464" that budded|strong="G0985", and|strong="G2532" the tables|strong="G4109" of the covenant|strong="G1242";
5 And|strong="G1161" over|strong="G5231" it|strong="G0846" the cherubims|strong="G5502" of glory|strong="G1391" shadowing|strong="G2683" the mercyseat|strong="G2435"; of|strong="G4012" which|strong="G3739" we can|strong="G2076" not|strong="G3756" now|strong="G3568" speak|strong="G3004" particularly|strong="G3313".
6 Now when|strong="G1161" these things|strong="G5130" were|strong="G2680" thus|strong="G3779" ordained|strong="G2680", the priests|strong="G2409" went|strong="G1524" always|strong="G1275" into|strong="G1519" the|strong="G4633" first|strong="G4413" tabernacle|strong="G4633", accomplishing|strong="G2005" the service|strong="G2999" of God.
7 But|strong="G1161" into|strong="G1519" the second|strong="G1208" went the high priest|strong="G0749" alone|strong="G3441" once|strong="G0530" every year|strong="G1763", not|strong="G3756" without|strong="G5565" blood|strong="G0129", which|strong="G3739" he offered|strong="G4374" for|strong="G5228" himself|strong="G1438", and|strong="G2532" for the errors|strong="G0051" of the people|strong="G2992":
8 The|strong="G4151" Holy|strong="G0040" Ghost|strong="G4151" this|strong="G5124" signifying|strong="G1213", that the way|strong="G3598" into the holiest of all|strong="G0039" was|strong="G5319" not yet|strong="G3380" made manifest|strong="G5319", while as|strong="G2089" the|strong="G4633" first|strong="G4413" tabernacle|strong="G4633" was|strong="G2192" yet|strong="G2089" standing|strong="G4714":
9 Which|strong="G3748" was a figure|strong="G3850" for|strong="G1519" the time|strong="G2540" then present|strong="G1764", in|strong="G2596" which|strong="G3739" were offered|strong="G4374" both|strong="G5037" gifts|strong="G1435" and|strong="G2532" sacrifices|strong="G2378", that|strong="G3361" could|strong="G1410" not|strong="G3361" make|strong="G5048" him that did the service|strong="G3000" perfect|strong="G5048", as pertaining to|strong="G2596" the conscience|strong="G4893";
10 Which stood only|strong="G3440" in|strong="G1909" meats|strong="G1033" and|strong="G2532" drinks|strong="G4188", and|strong="G2532" divers|strong="G1313" washings|strong="G0909", and|strong="G2532" carnal|strong="G4561" ordinances|strong="G1345", imposed|strong="G1945" on them until|strong="G3360" the time|strong="G2540" of reformation|strong="G1357".
11 But|strong="G1161" Christ|strong="G5547" being come|strong="G3854" an high priest|strong="G0749" of good things|strong="G0018" to come|strong="G3195", by|strong="G1223" a|strong="G4633" greater|strong="G3173" and|strong="G2532" more perfect|strong="G5046" tabernacle|strong="G4633", not|strong="G3756" made with hands|strong="G5499", that|strong="G5124" is to say|strong="G2076", not|strong="G3756" of|strong="G2937" this|strong="G3778" building|strong="G2937";
12 Neither|strong="G3761" by|strong="G1223" the blood|strong="G0129" of goats|strong="G5131" and|strong="G2532" calves|strong="G3448", but|strong="G1161" by|strong="G1223" his own|strong="G2398" blood|strong="G0129" he entered in|strong="G1525" once|strong="G2178" into|strong="G1519" the holy place|strong="G0039", having obtained|strong="G2147" eternal|strong="G0166" redemption|strong="G3085" for us.
13 For|strong="G1063" if|strong="G1487" the blood|strong="G0129" of bulls|strong="G5022" and|strong="G2532" of goats|strong="G5131", and|strong="G2532" the ashes|strong="G4700" of an heifer|strong="G1151" sprinkling|strong="G4472" the unclean|strong="G2840", sanctifieth|strong="G0037" to|strong="G4314" the purifying|strong="G2514" of the flesh|strong="G4561":
14 How much|strong="G4214" more|strong="G3123" shall|strong="G2511" the blood|strong="G0129" of Christ|strong="G5547", who|strong="G3739" through|strong="G1223" the|strong="G4151" eternal|strong="G0166" Spirit|strong="G4151" offered|strong="G4374" himself|strong="G1438" without spot|strong="G0299" to God|strong="G2316", purge|strong="G2511" your|strong="G5216" conscience|strong="G4893" from|strong="G0575" dead|strong="G3498" works|strong="G2041" to|strong="G1519" serve|strong="G3000" the|strong="G2316" living|strong="G2198" God|strong="G2316"?
15 And|strong="G2532" for|strong="G1223" this cause|strong="G5124" he is|strong="G2076" the mediator|strong="G3316" of the|strong="G1242" new|strong="G2537" testament|strong="G1242", that|strong="G3704" by means|strong="G1096" of death|strong="G2288", for|strong="G1519" the redemption|strong="G0629" of the transgressions|strong="G3847" that were under|strong="G1909" the|strong="G1242" first|strong="G4413" testament|strong="G1242", they|strong="G2983" which are called|strong="G2564" might receive|strong="G2983" the promise|strong="G1860" of|strong="G2817" eternal|strong="G0166" inheritance|strong="G2817".
16 For|strong="G1063" where|strong="G3699" a testament|strong="G1242" is, there must also of necessity be the death|strong="G2288" of the testator|strong="G1303".
17 For|strong="G1063" a testament|strong="G1242" is of force|strong="G0949" after|strong="G1909" men are dead|strong="G3498": otherwise|strong="G1893" it is of|strong="G2480" no|strong="G3379" strength|strong="G2480" at all|strong="G3379" while|strong="G3753" the testator|strong="G1303" liveth|strong="G2198".
18 Whereupon|strong="G3606" neither|strong="G3761" the first|strong="G4413" testament was dedicated|strong="G1457" without|strong="G5565" blood|strong="G0129".
19 For|strong="G1063" when|strong="G2980" Moses|strong="G3475" had spoken|strong="G2980" every|strong="G3956" precept|strong="G1785" to|strong="G2992" all|strong="G3956" the people|strong="G2992" according to|strong="G2596" the law|strong="G3551", he took|strong="G2983" the blood|strong="G0129" of calves|strong="G3448" and|strong="G2532" of goats|strong="G5131", with|strong="G3326" water|strong="G5204", and|strong="G2532" scarlet|strong="G2847" wool|strong="G2053", and|strong="G2532" hyssop|strong="G5301", and sprinkled|strong="G4472" both|strong="G5037" the book|strong="G0975", and|strong="G2532" all|strong="G3956" the people|strong="G2992",
20 Saying|strong="G3004", This|strong="G5124" is the blood|strong="G0129" of the testament|strong="G1242" which|strong="G3739" God|strong="G2316" hath enjoined|strong="G1781" unto|strong="G4314" you|strong="G5209".
21 Moreover|strong="G3668" he sprinkled|strong="G4472" with blood|strong="G0129" both|strong="G2532" the tabernacle|strong="G4633", and|strong="G2532" all|strong="G3956" the vessels|strong="G4632" of the ministry|strong="G3009".
22 And|strong="G2532" almost|strong="G4975" all things|strong="G3956" are|strong="G2511" by|strong="G2596" the law|strong="G3551" purged|strong="G2511" with|strong="G1722" blood|strong="G0129"; and|strong="G2532" without|strong="G5565" shedding of blood|strong="G0130" is|strong="G1096" no|strong="G3756" remission|strong="G0859".
23 It was therefore|strong="G3767" necessary that|strong="G0318" the patterns|strong="G5262" of things|strong="G3588" in|strong="G1722" the heavens|strong="G3772" should be purified|strong="G2511" with these|strong="G5125"; but|strong="G1161" the heavenly things|strong="G2032" themselves|strong="G0846" with|strong="G2378" better|strong="G2909" sacrifices|strong="G2378" than|strong="G3844" these|strong="G3778".
24 For|strong="G1063" Christ|strong="G5547" is|strong="G1525" not|strong="G3756" entered|strong="G1525" into|strong="G1519" the holy places|strong="G0039" made with hands|strong="G5499", which are the figures|strong="G0499" of the true|strong="G0228"; but|strong="G0235" into|strong="G1519" heaven|strong="G3772" itself|strong="G0846", now|strong="G3568" to appear|strong="G1718" in the presence|strong="G4383" of God|strong="G2316" for|strong="G5228" us|strong="G2257":
25 Nor yet|strong="G3761" that|strong="G2443" he should offer|strong="G4374" himself|strong="G1438" often|strong="G4178", as|strong="G5618" the high priest|strong="G0749" entereth|strong="G1525" into|strong="G1519" the holy place|strong="G0039" every|strong="G2596" year|strong="G1763" with|strong="G1722" blood|strong="G0129" of others|strong="G0245";
26 For then|strong="G1893" must|strong="G1163" he|strong="G0846" often|strong="G4178" have suffered|strong="G3958" since|strong="G0575" the foundation|strong="G2602" of the world|strong="G2889": but|strong="G1161" now|strong="G3568" once|strong="G0530" in|strong="G1909" the end|strong="G4930" of the world|strong="G0165" hath he appeared|strong="G5319" to|strong="G1519" put away|strong="G0115" sin|strong="G0266" by|strong="G1223" the sacrifice|strong="G2378" of himself|strong="G0846".
27 And|strong="G2532" as|strong="G3745" it is appointed|strong="G0606" unto men|strong="G0444" once|strong="G0530" to die|strong="G0599", but|strong="G1161" after|strong="G3326" this|strong="G5124" the judgment|strong="G2920":
28 So|strong="G3779" Christ|strong="G5547" was|strong="G4374" once|strong="G0530" offered|strong="G4374" to|strong="G1519" bear|strong="G0399" the sins|strong="G0266" of many|strong="G4183"; and unto them that look for|strong="G0553" him|strong="G0846" shall he appear|strong="G3700" the second time|strong="G1208" without|strong="G5565" sin|strong="G0266" unto|strong="G1519" salvation|strong="G4991".
