1 For|strong="G1063" the law|strong="G3551" having|strong="G2192" a shadow|strong="G4639" of good things|strong="G0018" to come|strong="G3195", and not|strong="G3756" the|strong="G1504" very|strong="G0846" image|strong="G1504" of the things|strong="G4229", can|strong="G1410" never|strong="G3763" with|strong="G2378" those|strong="G0846" sacrifices|strong="G2378" which|strong="G3739" they offered|strong="G4374" year by|strong="G2596" year|strong="G1763" continually|strong="G1336" make|strong="G5048" the comers|strong="G4334" thereunto perfect|strong="G5048".
2 For then|strong="G1893" would they|strong="G3973" not|strong="G3756" have ceased|strong="G3973" to be offered|strong="G4374"? because|strong="G1223" that the worshippers|strong="G3000" once|strong="G0530" purged|strong="G2508" should have had|strong="G2192" no|strong="G3367" more|strong="G2089" conscience|strong="G4893" of sins|strong="G0266".
3 But|strong="G0235" in|strong="G1722" those|strong="G0846" sacrifices there is a remembrance again|strong="G0364" made of sins|strong="G0266" every|strong="G2596" year|strong="G1763".
4 For|strong="G1063" it is not possible|strong="G0102" that|strong="G0851" the blood|strong="G0129" of bulls|strong="G5022" and|strong="G2532" of goats|strong="G5131" should take away|strong="G0851" sins|strong="G0266".
5 Wherefore|strong="G1352" when he cometh|strong="G1525" into|strong="G1519" the world|strong="G2889", he saith|strong="G3004", Sacrifice|strong="G2378" and|strong="G2532" offering|strong="G4376" thou wouldest|strong="G2309" not|strong="G3756", but|strong="G1161" a body|strong="G4983" hast thou prepared|strong="G2675" me|strong="G3427":
6 In burnt offerings|strong="G3646" and|strong="G2532" sacrifices for|strong="G4012" sin|strong="G0266" thou hast had|strong="G2106" no|strong="G3756" pleasure|strong="G2106".
7 Then|strong="G5119" said I|strong="G2036", Lo|strong="G2400", I come|strong="G2240" (in|strong="G1722" the volume|strong="G2777" of the book|strong="G0975" it is written|strong="G1125" of|strong="G4012" me|strong="G1700",) to do|strong="G4160" thy|strong="G4675" will|strong="G2307", O God|strong="G2316".
8 Above|strong="G0511" when|strong="G3754" he said|strong="G3004", Sacrifice|strong="G2378" and|strong="G2532" offering|strong="G4376" and|strong="G2532" burnt offerings|strong="G3646" and|strong="G2532" offering for|strong="G4012" sin|strong="G0266" thou wouldest|strong="G2309" not|strong="G3756", neither|strong="G3761" hadst pleasure|strong="G2106" therein; which|strong="G3748" are offered|strong="G4374" by|strong="G2596" the law|strong="G3551";
9 Then|strong="G5119" said he|strong="G2046", Lo|strong="G2400", I come|strong="G2240" to do|strong="G4160" thy|strong="G4675" will|strong="G2307", O God|strong="G2316". He taketh away|strong="G0337" the first|strong="G4413", that|strong="G2443" he may establish|strong="G2476" the second|strong="G1208".
10 By|strong="G1722" the|strong="G2307" which|strong="G3739" will|strong="G2307" we are|strong="G2070" sanctified|strong="G0037" through|strong="G1223" the offering|strong="G4376" of the body|strong="G4983" of Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547" once|strong="G2178" for all.
11 And|strong="G2532" every|strong="G3956" priest|strong="G2409" standeth|strong="G2476" daily|strong="G2250" ministering|strong="G3008" and|strong="G2532" offering|strong="G4374" oftentimes|strong="G4178" the|strong="G2378" same|strong="G0846" sacrifices|strong="G2378", which|strong="G3748" can|strong="G1410" never|strong="G3763" take away|strong="G4014" sins|strong="G0266":
12 But|strong="G1161" this man|strong="G0846", after he had offered|strong="G4374" one|strong="G1520" sacrifice|strong="G2378" for|strong="G5228" sins|strong="G0266" for|strong="G1519" ever|strong="G1336", sat down|strong="G2523" on|strong="G1722" the right hand|strong="G1188" of God|strong="G2316";
13 From henceforth|strong="G3063" expecting|strong="G1551" till|strong="G2193" his|strong="G0846" enemies|strong="G2190" be made|strong="G5087" his|strong="G0846" footstool|strong="G5286".
14 For|strong="G1063" by one|strong="G1520" offering|strong="G4376" he hath perfected|strong="G5048" for|strong="G1519" ever|strong="G1336" them that are sanctified|strong="G0037".
15 Whereof the|strong="G4151" Holy|strong="G0040" Ghost|strong="G4151" also|strong="G2532" is a witness|strong="G3140" to us|strong="G2254": for|strong="G1063" after|strong="G3326" that he had said before|strong="G4280",
16 This|strong="G3778" is the covenant|strong="G1242" that|strong="G3739" I will make|strong="G1303" with|strong="G4314" them|strong="G0846" after|strong="G3326" those|strong="G1565" days|strong="G2250", saith|strong="G3004" the Lord|strong="G2962", I will put|strong="G1325" my|strong="G3450" laws|strong="G3551" into|strong="G1909" their|strong="G0846" hearts|strong="G2588", and|strong="G2532" in|strong="G1909" their|strong="G0846" minds|strong="G1271" will I write|strong="G1924" them|strong="G0846";
17 And|strong="G2532" their|strong="G0846" sins|strong="G0266" and|strong="G2532" iniquities|strong="G0458" will I remember|strong="G3415" no|strong="G3756" more|strong="G2089".
18 Now|strong="G1161" where|strong="G3699" remission|strong="G0859" of these|strong="G5130" is, there is no more|strong="G3765" offering|strong="G4376" for|strong="G4012" sin|strong="G0266".
19 Having|strong="G2192" therefore|strong="G3767", brethren|strong="G0080", boldness|strong="G3954" to|strong="G1519" enter into|strong="G1529" the holiest|strong="G0039" by|strong="G1722" the blood|strong="G0129" of Jesus|strong="G2424",
20 By a|strong="G3598" new|strong="G4372" and|strong="G2532" living|strong="G2198" way|strong="G3598", which|strong="G3739" he hath consecrated|strong="G1457" for us|strong="G2254", through|strong="G1223" the veil|strong="G2665", that|strong="G5124" is to say|strong="G2076", his|strong="G0846" flesh|strong="G4561";
21 And|strong="G2532" having an|strong="G2409" high|strong="G3173" priest|strong="G2409" over|strong="G1909" the house|strong="G3624" of God|strong="G2316";
22 Let us draw near|strong="G4334" with|strong="G3326" a|strong="G2588" true|strong="G0228" heart|strong="G2588" in|strong="G1722" full assurance|strong="G4136" of faith|strong="G4102", having|strong="G4472" our hearts|strong="G2588" sprinkled|strong="G4472" from|strong="G0575" an|strong="G4893" evil|strong="G4190" conscience|strong="G4893", and|strong="G2532" our bodies|strong="G4983" washed|strong="G3068" with|strong="G5204" pure|strong="G2513" water|strong="G5204".
23 Let us hold fast|strong="G2722" the profession|strong="G3671" of|strong="G1680" our faith|strong="G1680" without wavering|strong="G0186"; (for|strong="G1063" he|strong="G1861" is faithful|strong="G4103" that promised|strong="G1861";)
24 And|strong="G2532" let us consider|strong="G2657" one another|strong="G0240" to|strong="G1519" provoke|strong="G3948" unto love|strong="G0026" and|strong="G2532" to|strong="G2041" good|strong="G2570" works|strong="G2041":
25 Not|strong="G3361" forsaking|strong="G1459" the assembling|strong="G1997" of ourselves|strong="G1438" together|strong="G1997", as|strong="G2531" the manner|strong="G1485" of some|strong="G5100" is; but|strong="G0235" exhorting|strong="G3870" one another: and|strong="G2532" so much|strong="G5118" the more|strong="G3123", as|strong="G3745" ye see|strong="G0991" the day|strong="G2250" approaching|strong="G1448".
26 For|strong="G1063" if|strong="G0264" we|strong="G2257" sin|strong="G0264" wilfully|strong="G1596" after|strong="G3326" that we have received|strong="G2983" the knowledge|strong="G1922" of the truth|strong="G0225", there remaineth|strong="G0620" no more|strong="G3765" sacrifice|strong="G2378" for|strong="G4012" sins|strong="G0266",
27 But|strong="G1161" a certain|strong="G5100" fearful|strong="G5398" looking for|strong="G1561" of judgment|strong="G2920" and|strong="G2532" fiery|strong="G4442" indignation|strong="G2205", which|strong="G2068" shall|strong="G3195" devour|strong="G2068" the adversaries|strong="G5227".
28 He that|strong="G5100" despised|strong="G0114" Moses’|strong="G3475" law|strong="G3551" died|strong="G0599" without|strong="G5565" mercy|strong="G3628" under|strong="G1909" two|strong="G1417" or|strong="G2228" three|strong="G5140" witnesses|strong="G3144":
29 Of how much|strong="G4214" sorer|strong="G5501" punishment|strong="G5098", suppose ye|strong="G1380", shall he be thought worthy|strong="G0515", who hath trodden under foot|strong="G2662" the Son|strong="G5207" of God|strong="G2316", and|strong="G2532" hath counted|strong="G2233" the blood|strong="G0129" of the covenant|strong="G1242", where|strong="G3739"with|strong="G1722" he was sanctified|strong="G0037", an unholy thing|strong="G2839", and|strong="G2532" hath done despite unto|strong="G1796" the Spirit|strong="G4151" of grace|strong="G5485"?
30 For|strong="G1063" we know|strong="G1492" him that hath said|strong="G2036", Vengeance|strong="G1557" belongeth unto me|strong="G1698", I|strong="G1473" will recompense|strong="G0467", saith|strong="G3004" the Lord|strong="G2962". And|strong="G2532" again|strong="G3825", The Lord|strong="G2962" shall judge|strong="G2919" his|strong="G0846" people|strong="G2992".
31 It is a fearful thing|strong="G5398" to fall|strong="G1706" into|strong="G1519" the hands|strong="G5495" of the|strong="G2316" living|strong="G2198" God|strong="G2316".
32 But|strong="G1161" call to remembrance|strong="G0363" the|strong="G2250" former|strong="G4386" days|strong="G2250", in|strong="G1722" which|strong="G3739", after ye were illuminated|strong="G5461", ye endured|strong="G5278" a|strong="G0119" great|strong="G4183" fight|strong="G0119" of afflictions|strong="G3804";
33 Partly|strong="G5124", whilst ye were made a gazingstock|strong="G2301" both|strong="G5037" by reproaches|strong="G3680" and|strong="G2532" afflictions|strong="G2347"; and|strong="G1161" partly|strong="G5124", whilst ye became|strong="G1096" companions|strong="G2844" of them that were|strong="G0390" so|strong="G3779" used|strong="G0390".
34 For|strong="G1063" ye had compassion|strong="G4834" of me|strong="G3450" in my bonds|strong="G1199", and|strong="G2532" took|strong="G4327" joyfully|strong="G5479" the spoiling|strong="G0724" of|strong="G5224" your|strong="G5216" goods|strong="G5224", knowing|strong="G1097" in|strong="G1722" yourselves|strong="G1438" that ye have|strong="G2192" in|strong="G1722" heaven|strong="G3772" a|strong="G5223" better|strong="G2909" and|strong="G2532" an enduring|strong="G3306" substance|strong="G5223".
35 Cast|strong="G0577" not|strong="G3361" away|strong="G0577" therefore|strong="G3767" your|strong="G5216" confidence|strong="G3954", which|strong="G3748" hath|strong="G2192" great|strong="G3173" recompence of reward|strong="G3405".
36 For|strong="G1063" ye have|strong="G2192" need|strong="G5532" of patience|strong="G5281", that|strong="G2443", after ye have done|strong="G4160" the will|strong="G2307" of God|strong="G2316", ye might receive|strong="G2865" the promise|strong="G1860".
37 For|strong="G1063" yet|strong="G2089" a little|strong="G3397" while|strong="G3745", and he that shall come|strong="G2064" will come|strong="G2240", and|strong="G2532" will|strong="G5549" not|strong="G3756" tarry|strong="G5549".
38 Now|strong="G1161" the just|strong="G1342" shall live|strong="G2198" by|strong="G1537" faith|strong="G4102": but|strong="G2532" if|strong="G1437" any man draw back|strong="G5288", my|strong="G3450" soul|strong="G5590" shall have|strong="G2106" no|strong="G3756" pleasure|strong="G2106" in|strong="G1722" him|strong="G0846".
39 But|strong="G1161" we|strong="G2249" are|strong="G2070" not|strong="G3756" of them who draw back|strong="G5289" unto|strong="G1519" perdition|strong="G0684"; but|strong="G0235" of them that believe|strong="G4102" to|strong="G1519" the saving|strong="G4047" of the soul|strong="G5590".
