2 For|strong="G1063" by|strong="G1722" it|strong="G3778" the elders|strong="G4245" obtained a good report|strong="G3140".
3 Through faith|strong="G4102" we understand|strong="G3539" that|strong="G2675" the worlds|strong="G0165" were framed|strong="G2675" by the word|strong="G4487" of God|strong="G2316", so that|strong="G1519" things which are seen|strong="G0991" were|strong="G1096" not|strong="G3361" made|strong="G1096" of|strong="G1537" things which do appear|strong="G5316".
4 By faith|strong="G4102" Abel|strong="G0006" offered|strong="G4374" unto God|strong="G2316" a|strong="G2378" more excellent|strong="G4119" sacrifice|strong="G2378" than|strong="G3844" Cain|strong="G2535", by|strong="G1223" which|strong="G3739" he obtained witness|strong="G3140" that he was|strong="G1511" righteous|strong="G1342", God|strong="G2316" testifying|strong="G3140" of|strong="G1909" his|strong="G0846" gifts|strong="G1435": and|strong="G2532" by|strong="G1223" it|strong="G0846" he being dead|strong="G0599" yet|strong="G2089" speaketh|strong="G2980".

10 For|strong="G1063" he looked for|strong="G1551" a city|strong="G4172" which hath|strong="G2192" foundations|strong="G2310", whose|strong="G3739" builder|strong="G5079" and|strong="G2532" maker|strong="G1217" is God|strong="G2316".
11 Through faith|strong="G4102" also|strong="G2532" Sara|strong="G4564" herself|strong="G0846" received|strong="G2983" strength|strong="G1411" to|strong="G1519" conceive|strong="G2602" seed|strong="G4690", and|strong="G2532" was delivered of a child|strong="G5088" when she was past|strong="G3844" age|strong="G2244", because|strong="G1893" she judged|strong="G2233" him|strong="G1861" faithful|strong="G4103" who had promised|strong="G1861".

16 But|strong="G1161" now|strong="G3570" they desire|strong="G3713" a better|strong="G2909" country, that|strong="G5124" is|strong="G2076", an heavenly|strong="G2032": wherefore|strong="G1352" God|strong="G2316" is|strong="G1870" not|strong="G3756" ashamed|strong="G1870" to be called|strong="G1941" their|strong="G0846" God|strong="G2316": for|strong="G1063" he hath prepared|strong="G2090" for them|strong="G0846" a city|strong="G4172".
