Êxodo 34

King James (Authorized) Version (ENG-KJV2006)

And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* said|strong="H0559" unto Moses|strong="H4872", Hew|strong="H6458" thee two|strong="H8147" tables|strong="H3871" of stone|strong="H0068" like unto the first|strong="H7223": and I will write|strong="H3789" upon these tables|strong="H3871" the words|strong="H1697" that were in the first|strong="H7223" tables|strong="H3871", which thou brakest|strong="H7665".

And be ready|strong="H3559" in the morning|strong="H1242", and come up|strong="H5927" in the morning|strong="H1242" unto mount|strong="H2022" Sinai|strong="H5514", and present|strong="H5324" thyself there to me in the top|strong="H7218" of the mount|strong="H2022".

And no man|strong="H0376" shall come up|strong="H5927" with thee, neither|strong="H0408" let any man|strong="H0376" be seen|strong="H7200" throughout all the mount|strong="H2022"; neither let the flocks|strong="H6629" nor herds|strong="H1241" feed|strong="H7462" before|strong="H4136" that mount|strong="H2022".

And he hewed|strong="H6458" two|strong="H8147" tables|strong="H3871" of stone|strong="H0068" like unto the first|strong="H7223"; and Moses|strong="H4872" rose up early|strong="H7925" in the morning|strong="H1242", and went up|strong="H5927" unto mount|strong="H2022" Sinai|strong="H5514", as the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* had commanded|strong="H6680" him, and took|strong="H3947" in his hand|strong="H3027" the two|strong="H8147" tables|strong="H3871" of stone|strong="H0068".

And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* descended|strong="H3381" in the cloud|strong="H6051", and stood|strong="H3320" with him there, and proclaimed|strong="H7121" the name|strong="H8034" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.

And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* passed by|strong="H5674" before him|strong="H6440", and proclaimed|strong="H7121", The \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, The \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0410", merciful|strong="H7349" and gracious|strong="H2587", longsuffering|strong="H0750", and abundant|strong="H7227" in goodness|strong="H2617" and truth|strong="H0571",

Keeping|strong="H5341" mercy|strong="H2617" for thousands|strong="H0505", forgiving|strong="H5375" iniquity|strong="H5771" and transgression|strong="H6588" and sin|strong="H2403", and that will by no means|strong="H5352" clear|strong="H5352" the guilty; visiting|strong="H6485" the iniquity|strong="H5771" of the fathers|strong="H0001" upon the children|strong="H1121", and upon the children’s|strong="H1121" children, unto the third|strong="H8029" and to the fourth|strong="H7256" generation.

And Moses|strong="H4872" made haste|strong="H4116", and bowed his head|strong="H6915" toward the earth|strong="H0776", and worshipped|strong="H7812".

And he said|strong="H0559", If now I have found|strong="H4672" grace|strong="H2580" in thy sight|strong="H5869", O Lord|strong="H0136", let my Lord|strong="H0136", I pray thee, go|strong="H3212" among|strong="H7130" us; for it is a stiffnecked|strong="H7186" people|strong="H5971"; and pardon|strong="H5545" our iniquity|strong="H5771" and our sin|strong="H2403", and take us for thine inheritance|strong="H5157".

And he said|strong="H0559", Behold, I make|strong="H3772" a covenant|strong="H1285": before all thy people|strong="H5971" I will do|strong="H6213" marvels|strong="H6381", such as have not been done|strong="H1254" in all the earth|strong="H0776", nor in any nation|strong="H1471": and all the people|strong="H5971" among|strong="H7130" which thou art shall see|strong="H7200" the work|strong="H4639" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*: for it is a terrible thing|strong="H3372" that I will do|strong="H6213" with thee.

Observe|strong="H8104" thou that which I command|strong="H6680" thee this day|strong="H3117": behold, I drive out|strong="H1644" before|strong="H6440" thee the Amorite|strong="H0567", and the Canaanite|strong="H3669", and the Hittite|strong="H2850", and the Perizzite|strong="H6522", and the Hivite|strong="H2340", and the Jebusite|strong="H2983".

Take heed|strong="H8104" to thyself, lest thou make|strong="H3772" a covenant|strong="H1285" with the inhabitants|strong="H3427" of the land|strong="H0776" whither thou goest|strong="H0935", lest it be for a snare|strong="H4170" in the midst|strong="H7130" of thee:

But ye shall destroy|strong="H5422" their altars|strong="H4196", break|strong="H7665" their images|strong="H4676", and cut down|strong="H3772" their groves|strong="H0842":

For thou shalt worship|strong="H7812" no other|strong="H0312" god|strong="H0410": for the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, whose name|strong="H8034" is Jealous|strong="H7067", is a jealous|strong="H7067" God|strong="H0410":

Lest thou make|strong="H3772" a covenant|strong="H1285" with the inhabitants|strong="H3427" of the land|strong="H0776", and they go a whoring|strong="H2181" after|strong="H0310" their gods|strong="H0430", and do sacrifice|strong="H2076" unto their gods|strong="H0430", and one call|strong="H7121" thee, and thou eat|strong="H0398" of his sacrifice|strong="H2077";

And thou take|strong="H3947" of their daughters|strong="H1323" unto thy sons|strong="H1121", and their daughters|strong="H1323" go a whoring|strong="H2181" after|strong="H0310" their gods|strong="H0430", and make|strong="H2181" thy sons|strong="H1121" go a whoring|strong="H2181" after|strong="H0310" their gods|strong="H0430".

Thou shalt make|strong="H6213" thee no molten|strong="H4541" gods|strong="H0430".

The feast|strong="H2282" of unleavened bread|strong="H4682" shalt thou keep|strong="H8104". Seven|strong="H7651" days|strong="H3117" thou shalt eat|strong="H0398" unleavened bread|strong="H4682", as I commanded|strong="H6680" thee, in the time|strong="H4150" of the month|strong="H2320" Abib|strong="H0024": for in the month|strong="H2320" Abib|strong="H0024" thou camest out|strong="H3318" from Egypt|strong="H4714".

All that openeth|strong="H6363" the matrix|strong="H7358" is mine; and every firstling|strong="H6363" among thy cattle|strong="H4735", whether ox|strong="H7794" or sheep|strong="H7716", \+w that is male|strong="H2142"\+w*.

But the firstling|strong="H6363" of an ass|strong="H2543" thou shalt redeem|strong="H6299" with a lamb|strong="H7716": and if thou redeem|strong="H6299" him not, then shalt thou break his neck|strong="H6202". All the firstborn|strong="H1060" of thy sons|strong="H1121" thou shalt redeem|strong="H6299". And none shall appear|strong="H7200" before|strong="H6440" me empty|strong="H7387".

Six|strong="H8337" days|strong="H3117" thou shalt work|strong="H5647", but on the seventh|strong="H7637" day|strong="H3117" thou shalt rest|strong="H7673": in earing time|strong="H2758" and in harvest|strong="H7105" thou shalt rest|strong="H7673".

And thou shalt observe|strong="H6213" the feast|strong="H2282" of weeks|strong="H7620", of the firstfruits|strong="H1061" of wheat|strong="H2406" harvest|strong="H7105", and the feast|strong="H2282" of ingathering|strong="H0614" at the year’s|strong="H8141" end|strong="H8622".

Thrice|strong="H6471" in the year|strong="H8141" shall all your men children|strong="H2138" appear|strong="H7200" before|strong="H6440" the Lord|strong="H0113" \+w GOD|strong="H3068"\+w*, the God|strong="H0430" of Israel|strong="H3478".

For I will cast out|strong="H3423" the nations|strong="H1471" before|strong="H6440" thee, and enlarge|strong="H7337" thy borders|strong="H1366": neither shall any man|strong="H0376" desire|strong="H2530" thy land|strong="H0776", when thou shalt go up|strong="H5927" to appear|strong="H7200" before|strong="H6440" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" thrice|strong="H6471" in the year|strong="H8141".

Thou shalt not offer|strong="H7819" the blood|strong="H1818" of my sacrifice|strong="H2077" with leaven|strong="H2557"; neither shall the sacrifice|strong="H2077" of the feast|strong="H2282" of the passover|strong="H6453" be left|strong="H3885" unto the morning|strong="H1242".

The first|strong="H7225" of the firstfruits|strong="H1061" of thy land|strong="H0127" thou shalt bring|strong="H0935" unto the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430". Thou shalt not seethe|strong="H1310" a kid|strong="H1423" in his mother’s|strong="H0517" milk|strong="H2461".

And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* said|strong="H0559" unto Moses|strong="H4872", Write|strong="H3789" thou these words|strong="H1697": for after the tenor|strong="H6310" of these words|strong="H1697" I have made|strong="H3772" a covenant|strong="H1285" with thee and with Israel|strong="H3478".

And he was there with the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* forty|strong="H0705" days|strong="H3117" and forty|strong="H0705" nights|strong="H3915"; he did neither eat|strong="H0398" bread|strong="H3899", nor drink|strong="H8354" water|strong="H4325". And he wrote|strong="H3789" upon the tables|strong="H3871" the words|strong="H1697" of the covenant|strong="H1285", the ten|strong="H6235" commandments|strong="H1697".

And it came to pass, when Moses|strong="H4872" came down|strong="H3381" from mount|strong="H2022" Sinai|strong="H5514" with the two|strong="H8147" tables|strong="H3871" of testimony|strong="H5715" in Moses’|strong="H4872" hand|strong="H3027", when he came down|strong="H3381" from the mount|strong="H2022", that Moses|strong="H4872" wist|strong="H3045" not that the skin|strong="H5785" of his face|strong="H6440" shone|strong="H7160" while he talked|strong="H1696" with him.

And when Aaron|strong="H0175" and all the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" saw|strong="H7200" Moses|strong="H4872", behold, the skin|strong="H5785" of his face|strong="H6440" shone|strong="H7160"; and they were afraid|strong="H3372" to come nigh|strong="H5066" him.

And Moses|strong="H4872" called|strong="H7121" unto them; and Aaron|strong="H0175" and all the rulers|strong="H5387" of the congregation|strong="H5712" returned|strong="H7725" unto him: and Moses|strong="H4872" talked|strong="H1696" with them.

And afterward|strong="H0310" all the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" came nigh|strong="H5066": and he gave them in commandment|strong="H6680" all that the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* had spoken|strong="H1696" with him in mount|strong="H2022" Sinai|strong="H5514".

And till Moses|strong="H4872" had done|strong="H3615" speaking|strong="H1696" with them, he put|strong="H5414" a vail|strong="H4533" on his face|strong="H6440".

But when Moses|strong="H4872" went in|strong="H0935" before|strong="H6440" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* to speak|strong="H1696" with him, he took|strong="H5493" the vail|strong="H4533" off|strong="H5493", until he came out|strong="H3318". And he came out|strong="H3318", and spake|strong="H1696" unto the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" that which he was commanded|strong="H6680".

And the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" saw|strong="H7200" the face|strong="H6440" of Moses|strong="H4872", that the skin|strong="H5785" of Moses’|strong="H4872" face|strong="H6440" shone|strong="H7160": and Moses|strong="H4872" put|strong="H7725" the vail|strong="H4533" upon his face|strong="H6440" again|strong="H7725", until he went|strong="H0935" in to speak|strong="H1696" with him.
