1 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* said|strong="H1696" unto Moses|strong="H4872", Depart|strong="H3212", and go up|strong="H5927" hence, thou and the people|strong="H5971" which thou hast brought up|strong="H5927" out of the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714", unto the land|strong="H0776" which I sware|strong="H7650" unto Abraham|strong="H0085", to Isaac|strong="H3327", and to Jacob|strong="H3290", saying|strong="H0559", Unto thy seed|strong="H2233" will I give|strong="H5414" it:
2 And I will send|strong="H7971" an angel|strong="H4397" before|strong="H6440" thee; and I will drive out|strong="H1644" the Canaanite|strong="H3669", the Amorite|strong="H0567", and the Hittite|strong="H2850", and the Perizzite|strong="H6522", the Hivite|strong="H2340", and the Jebusite|strong="H2983":
3 Unto a land|strong="H0776" flowing|strong="H2100" with milk|strong="H2461" and honey|strong="H1706": for I will not go up|strong="H5927" in the midst|strong="H7130" of thee; for thou art a stiffnecked|strong="H7186" people|strong="H5971": lest I consume|strong="H3615" thee in the way|strong="H1870".
4 And when the people|strong="H5971" heard|strong="H8085" these evil|strong="H7451" tidings|strong="H1697", they mourned|strong="H0056": and no man|strong="H0376" did put|strong="H7896" on him his ornaments|strong="H5716".
5 For the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* had said|strong="H0559" unto Moses|strong="H4872", Say|strong="H0559" unto the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478", Ye are a stiffnecked|strong="H7186" people|strong="H5971": I will come up|strong="H5927" into the midst|strong="H7130" of thee in a|strong="H0259" moment|strong="H7281", and consume|strong="H3615" thee: therefore now put off|strong="H3381" thy ornaments|strong="H5716" from thee, that I may know|strong="H3045" what to do|strong="H6213" unto thee.
6 And the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" stripped|strong="H5337" themselves of their ornaments|strong="H5716" by the mount|strong="H2022" Horeb|strong="H2722".
7 And Moses|strong="H4872" took|strong="H3947" the tabernacle|strong="H0168", and pitched|strong="H5186" it without|strong="H2351" the camp|strong="H4264", afar off|strong="H7368" from the camp|strong="H4264", and called|strong="H7121" it the Tabernacle|strong="H0168" of the congregation|strong="H4150". And it came to pass, that every one which sought|strong="H1245" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* went out|strong="H3318" unto the tabernacle|strong="H0168" of the congregation|strong="H4150", which was without|strong="H2351" the camp|strong="H4264".
8 And it came to pass, when Moses|strong="H4872" went out|strong="H3318" unto the tabernacle|strong="H0168", that all the people|strong="H5971" rose up|strong="H6965", and stood|strong="H5324" every man|strong="H0376" at his tent|strong="H0168" door|strong="H6607", and looked|strong="H5027" after|strong="H0310" Moses|strong="H4872", until he was gone|strong="H0935" into the tabernacle|strong="H0168".
9 And it came to pass, as Moses|strong="H4872" entered|strong="H0935" into the tabernacle|strong="H0168", the cloudy|strong="H6051" pillar|strong="H5982" descended|strong="H3381", and stood|strong="H5975" at the door|strong="H6607" of the tabernacle|strong="H0168", and the \+nd LORD\+nd* talked|strong="H1696" with Moses|strong="H4872".
10 And all the people|strong="H5971" saw|strong="H7200" the cloudy|strong="H6051" pillar|strong="H5982" stand|strong="H5975" at the tabernacle|strong="H0168" door|strong="H6607": and all the people|strong="H5971" rose up|strong="H6965" and worshipped|strong="H7812", every man|strong="H0376" in his tent|strong="H0168" door|strong="H6607".
11 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* spake|strong="H1696" unto Moses|strong="H4872" face|strong="H6440" to face|strong="H6440", as a man|strong="H0376" speaketh|strong="H1696" unto his friend|strong="H7453". And he turned again|strong="H7725" into the camp|strong="H4264": but his servant|strong="H8334" Joshua|strong="H3091", the son|strong="H1121" of Nun|strong="H5126", a young man|strong="H5288", departed|strong="H4185" not out|strong="H8432" of the tabernacle|strong="H0168".
12 And Moses|strong="H4872" said|strong="H0559" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, See|strong="H7200", thou sayest|strong="H0559" unto me, Bring up|strong="H5927" this people|strong="H5971": and thou hast not let me know|strong="H3045" whom thou wilt send|strong="H7971" with me. Yet thou hast said|strong="H0559", I know|strong="H3045" thee by name|strong="H8034", and thou hast also found|strong="H4672" grace|strong="H2580" in my sight|strong="H5869".
13 Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found|strong="H4672" grace|strong="H2580" in thy sight|strong="H5869", shew|strong="H3045" me now thy way|strong="H1870", that I may know|strong="H3045" thee, that I may find|strong="H4672" grace|strong="H2580" in thy sight|strong="H5869": and consider|strong="H7200" that this nation|strong="H1471" is thy people|strong="H5971".
14 And he said|strong="H0559", My presence|strong="H6440" shall go|strong="H3212" with thee, and I will give thee rest|strong="H5117".
15 And he said|strong="H0559" unto him, If thy presence|strong="H6440" go|strong="H1980" not with me, carry us not up|strong="H5927" hence.
16 For wherein shall it be known|strong="H3045" here|strong="H0645" that I and thy people|strong="H5971" have found|strong="H4672" grace|strong="H2580" in thy sight|strong="H5869"? is it not in that thou goest|strong="H3212" with us? so shall we be separated|strong="H6395", I and thy people|strong="H5971", from all the people|strong="H5971" that are upon the face|strong="H6440" of the earth|strong="H0127".
17 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* said|strong="H0559" unto Moses|strong="H4872", I will do|strong="H6213" this thing|strong="H1697" also that thou hast spoken|strong="H1696": for thou hast found|strong="H4672" grace|strong="H2580" in my sight|strong="H5869", and I know|strong="H3045" thee by name|strong="H8034".
18 And he said|strong="H0559", I beseech thee|strong="H4994", shew|strong="H7200" me thy glory|strong="H3519".
19 And he said|strong="H0559", I will make all my goodness|strong="H2898" pass|strong="H5674" before thee, and I will proclaim|strong="H7121" the name|strong="H8034" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* before|strong="H6440" thee; and will be gracious|strong="H2603" to whom I will be gracious|strong="H2603", and will shew mercy|strong="H7355" on whom I will shew mercy|strong="H7355".
20 And he said|strong="H0559", Thou canst|strong="H3201" not see|strong="H7200" my face|strong="H6440": for there shall no man|strong="H0120" see|strong="H7200" me, and live|strong="H2425".
21 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* said|strong="H0559", Behold, there is a place|strong="H4725" by me, and thou shalt stand|strong="H5324" upon a rock|strong="H6697":
22 And it shall come to pass, while my glory|strong="H3519" passeth by|strong="H5674", that I will put|strong="H7760" thee in a clift|strong="H5366" of the rock|strong="H6697", and will cover|strong="H5526" thee with my hand|strong="H3709" while|strong="H5704" I pass by|strong="H5674":
23 And I will take|strong="H5493" away mine hand|strong="H3709", and thou shalt see|strong="H7200" my back parts|strong="H0268": but my face|strong="H6440" shall not be seen|strong="H7200".
