3 O Senhor , nosso Deus, irá na frente de vocês e destruirá os povos que encontrarem, e vocês tomarão posse da terra. E, conforme o Senhor ordenou, Josué os comandará.

6 Sejam fortes e corajosos; não se assustem, nem tenham medo deles, pois é o Senhor , nosso Deus, quem irá com vocês. Ele não os deixará, nem abandonará.
7 And Moses|strong="H4872" called|strong="H7121" unto Joshua|strong="H3091", and said|strong="H0559" unto him in the sight|strong="H5869" of all Israel|strong="H3478", Be strong|strong="H2388" and of a good courage|strong="H0553": for thou must go|strong="H0935" with this people|strong="H5971" unto the land|strong="H0776" which the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* hath sworn|strong="H7650" unto their fathers|strong="H0001" to give|strong="H5414" them; and thou shalt cause them to inherit|strong="H5157" it.

13 Assim os seus descendentes que ainda não conhecerem a Lei de Deus também ouvirão a leitura e aprenderão a temer o Senhor , nosso Deus, durante todo o tempo em que viverem na terra que fica do outro lado do rio Jordão e que vai ser do povo de Israel.
14 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* said|strong="H0559" unto Moses|strong="H4872", Behold, thy days|strong="H3117" approach|strong="H7126" that thou must die|strong="H4191": call|strong="H7121" Joshua|strong="H3091", and present|strong="H3320" yourselves in the tabernacle|strong="H0168" of the congregation|strong="H4150", that I may give him a charge|strong="H6680". And Moses|strong="H4872" and Joshua|strong="H3091" went|strong="H3212", and presented|strong="H3320" themselves in the tabernacle|strong="H0168" of the congregation|strong="H4150".

17 Then my anger|strong="H0639" shall be kindled|strong="H2734" against them in that day|strong="H3117", and I will forsake|strong="H5800" them, and I will hide|strong="H5641" my face|strong="H6440" from them, and they shall be devoured|strong="H0398", and many|strong="H7227" evils|strong="H7451" and troubles|strong="H6869" shall befall|strong="H4672" them; so that they will say|strong="H0559" in that day|strong="H3117", Are not these evils|strong="H7451" come|strong="H4672" upon us, because our God|strong="H0430" is not among|strong="H7130" us?
17 Quando isso acontecer, eu ficarei irado com eles e os abandonarei; e, por não terem a minha ajuda, eles serão destruídos. Virão tantos desastres e tantas dificuldades, que eles dirão: “Nós estamos sofrendo tudo isso porque o nosso Deus não está conosco.”
18 And I will surely|strong="H5641" hide|strong="H5641" my face|strong="H6440" in that day|strong="H3117" for all the evils|strong="H7451" which they shall have wrought|strong="H6213", in that|strong="H3588" they are turned|strong="H6437" unto other|strong="H0312" gods|strong="H0430".
18 Naquele dia eu certamente os abandonarei, pois fizeram muitas maldades e adoraram outros deuses.
19 Now therefore write|strong="H3789" ye this song|strong="H7892" for you, and teach|strong="H3925" it the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478": put|strong="H7760" it in their mouths|strong="H6310", that this song|strong="H7892" may be a witness|strong="H5707" for me against the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478".
19 — Agora escreva esta canção e ensine aos israelitas. Mande que eles a aprendam de cor, pois ela será minha testemunha contra eles.
20 For when I shall have brought|strong="H0935" them into the land|strong="H0127" which I sware|strong="H7650" unto their fathers|strong="H0001", that floweth|strong="H2100" with milk|strong="H2461" and honey|strong="H1706"; and they shall have eaten|strong="H0398" and filled|strong="H7646" themselves, and waxen fat|strong="H1878"; then will they turn|strong="H6437" unto other|strong="H0312" gods|strong="H0430", and serve|strong="H5647" them, and provoke|strong="H5006" me, and break|strong="H6565" my covenant|strong="H1285".

21 And it shall come to pass, when many|strong="H7227" evils|strong="H7451" and troubles|strong="H6869" are befallen|strong="H4672" them, that this song|strong="H7892" shall testify|strong="H6030" against|strong="H6440" them as a witness|strong="H5707"; for it shall not be forgotten|strong="H7911" out of the mouths|strong="H6310" of their seed|strong="H2233": for I know|strong="H3045" their imagination|strong="H3336" which they go about|strong="H6213", even now|strong="H3117", before I have brought|strong="H0935" them into the land|strong="H0776" which I sware|strong="H7650".
21 Por isso serão castigados com desgraças e dificuldades, e esta canção será minha testemunha contra eles, pois os seus descendentes continuarão a cantá-la. 23 And he gave Joshua|strong="H3091" the son|strong="H1121" of Nun|strong="H5126" a charge|strong="H6680", and said|strong="H0559", Be strong|strong="H2388" and of a good courage|strong="H0553": for thou shalt bring|strong="H0935" the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" into the land|strong="H0776" which I sware|strong="H7650" unto them: and I will be with thee.
23 O Senhor falou com Josué, filho de Num, e lhe disse: — Seja forte e corajoso. Você comandará o povo na conquista da terra que prometi dar a eles, e eu estarei com você.
24 And it came to pass, when Moses|strong="H4872" had made an end|strong="H3615" of writing|strong="H3789" the words|strong="H1697" of this law|strong="H8451" in a book|strong="H5612", until they were finished|strong="H8552",

25 That Moses|strong="H4872" commanded|strong="H6680" the Levites|strong="H3881", which bare|strong="H5375" the ark|strong="H0727" of the covenant|strong="H1285" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, saying|strong="H0559",
25 e depois o entregou aos levitas encarregados de levar a arca da aliança de Deus, o Senhor . Moisés lhes disse:
26 Take|strong="H3947" this book|strong="H5612" of the law|strong="H8451", and put|strong="H7760" it in the side|strong="H6654" of the ark|strong="H0727" of the covenant|strong="H1285" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* your God|strong="H0430", that it may be there for a witness|strong="H5707" against thee.
26 — Ponham este Livro da Lei de Deus ao lado da arca da aliança do Senhor , nosso Deus, para que fique ali como testemunha contra o povo.
27 For I know|strong="H3045" thy rebellion|strong="H4805", and thy stiff|strong="H7186" neck|strong="H6203": behold, while I am yet alive|strong="H2416" with you this day|strong="H3117", ye have been rebellious|strong="H4784" against the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*; and how much more after|strong="H0310" my death|strong="H4194"?
27 Eu sei que essa gente é rebelde e teimosa. Se eles se revoltaram contra o Senhor Deus enquanto eu ainda vivia, quanto mais depois que eu morrer!
28 Gather|strong="H6950" unto me all the elders|strong="H2205" of your tribes|strong="H7626", and your officers|strong="H7860", that I may speak|strong="H1696" these words|strong="H1697" in their ears|strong="H0241", and call|strong="H5749" heaven|strong="H8064" and earth|strong="H0776" to record|strong="H5749" against them.
28 Reúnam aqui na minha presença todos os líderes das tribos e as outras autoridades para que eu lhes diga todas essas coisas. Chamarei o céu e a terra como testemunhas contra eles,
29 For I know|strong="H3045" that after|strong="H0310" my death|strong="H4194" ye will utterly|strong="H7843" corrupt|strong="H7843" yourselves, and turn aside|strong="H5493" from the way|strong="H1870" which I have commanded|strong="H6680" you; and evil|strong="H7451" will befall|strong="H7122" you in the latter|strong="H0319" days|strong="H3117"; because ye will do|strong="H6213" evil|strong="H7451" in the sight|strong="H5869" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, to provoke him to anger|strong="H3707" through the work|strong="H4639" of your hands|strong="H3027".
29 pois sei que depois da minha morte eles se entregarão ao pecado e não obedecerão às minhas ordens. Então chegará o dia em que serão castigados, pois os seus pecados farão com que Deus fique irado com eles.
30 And Moses|strong="H4872" spake|strong="H1696" in the ears|strong="H0241" of all the congregation|strong="H6951" of Israel|strong="H3478" the words|strong="H1697" of this song|strong="H7892", until they were ended|strong="H8552".
