1 And Moses|strong="H4872" went|strong="H3212" and spake|strong="H1696" these words|strong="H1697" unto all Israel|strong="H3478".
2 And he said|strong="H0559" unto them, I am an hundred|strong="H3967" and twenty|strong="H6242" years|strong="H8141" old|strong="H1121" this day|strong="H3117"; I can|strong="H3201" no more go out|strong="H3318" and come in|strong="H0935": also the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* hath said|strong="H0559" unto me, Thou shalt not go over|strong="H5674" this Jordan|strong="H3383".
3 The \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430", he will go over|strong="H5674" before|strong="H6440" thee, and he will destroy|strong="H8045" these nations|strong="H1471" from before|strong="H6440" thee, and thou shalt possess|strong="H3423" them: and Joshua|strong="H3091", he shall go over|strong="H5674" before|strong="H6440" thee, as the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* hath said|strong="H1696".
4 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* shall do|strong="H6213" unto them as he did|strong="H6213" to Sihon|strong="H5511" and to Og|strong="H5747", kings|strong="H4428" of the Amorites|strong="H0567", and unto the land|strong="H0776" of them, whom he destroyed|strong="H8045".
5 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* shall give them up|strong="H5414" before your face|strong="H6440", that ye may do|strong="H6213" unto them according unto all the commandments|strong="H4687" which I have commanded|strong="H6680" you.
6 Be strong|strong="H2388" and of a good courage|strong="H0553", fear|strong="H3372" not, nor be afraid|strong="H6206" of them|strong="H6440": for the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430", he it is that doth go|strong="H1980" with thee; he will not fail|strong="H7503" thee, nor forsake|strong="H5800" thee.
7 And Moses|strong="H4872" called|strong="H7121" unto Joshua|strong="H3091", and said|strong="H0559" unto him in the sight|strong="H5869" of all Israel|strong="H3478", Be strong|strong="H2388" and of a good courage|strong="H0553": for thou must go|strong="H0935" with this people|strong="H5971" unto the land|strong="H0776" which the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* hath sworn|strong="H7650" unto their fathers|strong="H0001" to give|strong="H5414" them; and thou shalt cause them to inherit|strong="H5157" it.
8 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, he it is that doth go|strong="H1980" before|strong="H6440" thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail|strong="H7503" thee, neither forsake|strong="H5800" thee: fear|strong="H3372" not, neither be dismayed|strong="H2865".
9 And Moses|strong="H4872" wrote|strong="H3789" this law|strong="H8451", and delivered|strong="H5414" it unto the priests|strong="H3548" the sons|strong="H1121" of Levi|strong="H3878", which bare|strong="H5375" the ark|strong="H0727" of the covenant|strong="H1285" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and unto all the elders|strong="H2205" of Israel|strong="H3478".
10 And Moses|strong="H4872" commanded|strong="H6680" them, saying|strong="H0559", At the end|strong="H7093" of every seven|strong="H7651" years|strong="H8141", in the solemnity|strong="H4150" of the year|strong="H8141" of release|strong="H8059", in the feast|strong="H2282" of tabernacles|strong="H5521",
11 When all Israel|strong="H3478" is come|strong="H0935" to appear|strong="H7200" before|strong="H6440" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" in the place|strong="H4725" which he shall choose|strong="H0977", thou shalt read|strong="H7121" this law|strong="H8451" before all Israel|strong="H3478" in their hearing|strong="H0241".
12 Gather|strong="H6950" the people|strong="H5971" together|strong="H6950", men|strong="H0582", and women|strong="H0802", and children|strong="H2945", and thy stranger|strong="H1616" that is within thy gates|strong="H8179", that they may hear|strong="H8085", and that they may learn|strong="H3925", and fear|strong="H3372" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* your God|strong="H0430", and observe|strong="H8104" to do|strong="H6213" all the words|strong="H1697" of this law|strong="H8451":
13 And that their children|strong="H1121", which have not known|strong="H3045" any thing, may hear|strong="H8085", and learn|strong="H3925" to fear|strong="H3372" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* your God|strong="H0430", as long as|strong="H3117" ye live|strong="H2416" in the land|strong="H0127" whither ye go over|strong="H5674" Jordan|strong="H3383" to possess|strong="H3423" it.
14 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* said|strong="H0559" unto Moses|strong="H4872", Behold, thy days|strong="H3117" approach|strong="H7126" that thou must die|strong="H4191": call|strong="H7121" Joshua|strong="H3091", and present|strong="H3320" yourselves in the tabernacle|strong="H0168" of the congregation|strong="H4150", that I may give him a charge|strong="H6680". And Moses|strong="H4872" and Joshua|strong="H3091" went|strong="H3212", and presented|strong="H3320" themselves in the tabernacle|strong="H0168" of the congregation|strong="H4150".
15 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* appeared|strong="H7200" in the tabernacle|strong="H0168" in a pillar|strong="H5982" of a cloud|strong="H6051": and the pillar|strong="H5982" of the cloud|strong="H6051" stood|strong="H5975" over the door|strong="H6607" of the tabernacle|strong="H0168".
16 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* said|strong="H0559" unto Moses|strong="H4872", Behold, thou shalt sleep|strong="H7901" with thy fathers|strong="H0001"; and this people|strong="H5971" will rise up|strong="H6965", and go a whoring|strong="H2181" after|strong="H0310" the gods|strong="H0430" of the strangers|strong="H5236" of the land|strong="H0776", whither they go|strong="H0935" to be among|strong="H7130" them, and will forsake|strong="H5800" me, and break|strong="H6565" my covenant|strong="H1285" which I have made|strong="H3772" with them.
17 Then my anger|strong="H0639" shall be kindled|strong="H2734" against them in that day|strong="H3117", and I will forsake|strong="H5800" them, and I will hide|strong="H5641" my face|strong="H6440" from them, and they shall be devoured|strong="H0398", and many|strong="H7227" evils|strong="H7451" and troubles|strong="H6869" shall befall|strong="H4672" them; so that they will say|strong="H0559" in that day|strong="H3117", Are not these evils|strong="H7451" come|strong="H4672" upon us, because our God|strong="H0430" is not among|strong="H7130" us?
18 And I will surely|strong="H5641" hide|strong="H5641" my face|strong="H6440" in that day|strong="H3117" for all the evils|strong="H7451" which they shall have wrought|strong="H6213", in that|strong="H3588" they are turned|strong="H6437" unto other|strong="H0312" gods|strong="H0430".
19 Now therefore write|strong="H3789" ye this song|strong="H7892" for you, and teach|strong="H3925" it the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478": put|strong="H7760" it in their mouths|strong="H6310", that this song|strong="H7892" may be a witness|strong="H5707" for me against the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478".
20 For when I shall have brought|strong="H0935" them into the land|strong="H0127" which I sware|strong="H7650" unto their fathers|strong="H0001", that floweth|strong="H2100" with milk|strong="H2461" and honey|strong="H1706"; and they shall have eaten|strong="H0398" and filled|strong="H7646" themselves, and waxen fat|strong="H1878"; then will they turn|strong="H6437" unto other|strong="H0312" gods|strong="H0430", and serve|strong="H5647" them, and provoke|strong="H5006" me, and break|strong="H6565" my covenant|strong="H1285".
21 And it shall come to pass, when many|strong="H7227" evils|strong="H7451" and troubles|strong="H6869" are befallen|strong="H4672" them, that this song|strong="H7892" shall testify|strong="H6030" against|strong="H6440" them as a witness|strong="H5707"; for it shall not be forgotten|strong="H7911" out of the mouths|strong="H6310" of their seed|strong="H2233": for I know|strong="H3045" their imagination|strong="H3336" which they go about|strong="H6213", even now|strong="H3117", before I have brought|strong="H0935" them into the land|strong="H0776" which I sware|strong="H7650".
22 Moses|strong="H4872" therefore wrote|strong="H3789" this song|strong="H7892" the same day|strong="H3117", and taught|strong="H3925" it the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478".
23 And he gave Joshua|strong="H3091" the son|strong="H1121" of Nun|strong="H5126" a charge|strong="H6680", and said|strong="H0559", Be strong|strong="H2388" and of a good courage|strong="H0553": for thou shalt bring|strong="H0935" the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" into the land|strong="H0776" which I sware|strong="H7650" unto them: and I will be with thee.
24 And it came to pass, when Moses|strong="H4872" had made an end|strong="H3615" of writing|strong="H3789" the words|strong="H1697" of this law|strong="H8451" in a book|strong="H5612", until they were finished|strong="H8552",
25 That Moses|strong="H4872" commanded|strong="H6680" the Levites|strong="H3881", which bare|strong="H5375" the ark|strong="H0727" of the covenant|strong="H1285" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, saying|strong="H0559",
26 Take|strong="H3947" this book|strong="H5612" of the law|strong="H8451", and put|strong="H7760" it in the side|strong="H6654" of the ark|strong="H0727" of the covenant|strong="H1285" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* your God|strong="H0430", that it may be there for a witness|strong="H5707" against thee.
27 For I know|strong="H3045" thy rebellion|strong="H4805", and thy stiff|strong="H7186" neck|strong="H6203": behold, while I am yet alive|strong="H2416" with you this day|strong="H3117", ye have been rebellious|strong="H4784" against the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*; and how much more after|strong="H0310" my death|strong="H4194"?
28 Gather|strong="H6950" unto me all the elders|strong="H2205" of your tribes|strong="H7626", and your officers|strong="H7860", that I may speak|strong="H1696" these words|strong="H1697" in their ears|strong="H0241", and call|strong="H5749" heaven|strong="H8064" and earth|strong="H0776" to record|strong="H5749" against them.
29 For I know|strong="H3045" that after|strong="H0310" my death|strong="H4194" ye will utterly|strong="H7843" corrupt|strong="H7843" yourselves, and turn aside|strong="H5493" from the way|strong="H1870" which I have commanded|strong="H6680" you; and evil|strong="H7451" will befall|strong="H7122" you in the latter|strong="H0319" days|strong="H3117"; because ye will do|strong="H6213" evil|strong="H7451" in the sight|strong="H5869" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, to provoke him to anger|strong="H3707" through the work|strong="H4639" of your hands|strong="H3027".
30 And Moses|strong="H4872" spake|strong="H1696" in the ears|strong="H0241" of all the congregation|strong="H6951" of Israel|strong="H3478" the words|strong="H1697" of this song|strong="H7892", until they were ended|strong="H8552".
