1 Saul falou ao seu filho Jônatas e a todos os servos, ordenando-lhes que matassem Davi. Mas Jônatas, que tinha grande afeição por Davi,
2 But Jonathan|strong="H3083" Saul’s|strong="H7586" son|strong="H1121" delighted|strong="H2654" much|strong="H3966" in David|strong="H1732": and Jonathan|strong="H3083" told|strong="H5046" David|strong="H1732", saying|strong="H0559", Saul|strong="H7586" my father|strong="H0001" seeketh|strong="H1245" to kill|strong="H4191" thee: now therefore, I pray thee, take heed|strong="H8104" to thyself until the morning|strong="H1242", and abide|strong="H3427" in a secret|strong="H5643" place, and hide|strong="H2244" thyself:
2 preveniu-o disso: Saul, meu pai, procura matar-te. Está de sobreaviso amanhã cedo; esconde-te.
3 And I will go out|strong="H3318" and stand|strong="H5975" beside|strong="H3027" my father|strong="H0001" in the field|strong="H7704" where thou art, and I will commune|strong="H1696" with my father|strong="H0001" of thee; and what|strong="H4100" I see|strong="H7200", that I will tell|strong="H5046" thee.
3 Sairei em companhia de meu pai ao campo onde estiveres. Falar-lhe-ei de ti, para ver o que ele diz, e te avisarei depois.
4 And Jonathan|strong="H3083" spake|strong="H1696" good|strong="H2896" of David|strong="H1732" unto Saul|strong="H7586" his father|strong="H0001", and said|strong="H0559" unto him, Let not the king|strong="H4428" sin|strong="H2398" against his servant|strong="H5650", against David|strong="H1732"; because he hath not sinned|strong="H2398" against thee, and because his works|strong="H4639" have been to thee-ward very|strong="H3966" good|strong="H2896":
4 Jônatas falou bem de Davi ao seu pai, e ajuntou: Que o rei não faça mal algum ao seu servo Davi, pois que ele nunca te fez mal algum. Ao contrário, prestou-te grandes serviços.
5 For he did put|strong="H7760" his life|strong="H5315" in his hand|strong="H3709", and slew|strong="H5221" the Philistine|strong="H6430", and the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* wrought|strong="H6213" a great|strong="H1419" salvation|strong="H8668" for all Israel|strong="H3478": thou sawest|strong="H7200" it, and didst rejoice|strong="H8055": wherefore then wilt thou sin|strong="H2398" against innocent|strong="H5355" blood|strong="H1818", to slay|strong="H4191" David|strong="H1732" without a cause|strong="H2600"?
5 Arriscou a sua vida para matar o filisteu, e o Senhor deu uma grande vitória a Israel. Foste testemunha disso e te alegraste. Por que queres pecar contra o sangue inocente, matando Davi sem motivo?
6 And Saul|strong="H7586" hearkened|strong="H8085" unto the voice|strong="H6963" of Jonathan|strong="H3083": and Saul|strong="H7586" sware|strong="H7650", As the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* liveth|strong="H2416", he shall not|strong="H0518" be slain|strong="H4191".
6 Saul ouviu a voz de Jônatas, e fez este juramento: Pela vida do Senhor, Davi não morrerá!
7 And Jonathan|strong="H3083" called|strong="H7121" David|strong="H1732", and Jonathan|strong="H3083" shewed|strong="H5046" him all those things|strong="H1697". And Jonathan|strong="H3083" brought|strong="H0935" David|strong="H1732" to Saul|strong="H7586", and he was in his presence|strong="H6440", as in times past|strong="H0865".
7 Então Jônatas chamou Davi e contou-lhe tudo isso. Levou-o em seguida a Saul, para que ele retomasse o seu lugar como dantes.
8 And there was war|strong="H4421" again|strong="H3254": and David|strong="H1732" went out|strong="H3318", and fought|strong="H3898" with the Philistines|strong="H6430", and slew|strong="H5221" them with a great|strong="H1419" slaughter|strong="H4347"; and they fled|strong="H5127" from|strong="H6440" him.
8 Tendo recomeçado a guerra, marchou Davi contra os filisteus, combatendo-os e infligindo-lhes uma grande derrota, e eles fugiram diante dele.
9 And the evil|strong="H7451" spirit|strong="H7307" from the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* was upon Saul|strong="H7586", as he sat|strong="H3427" in his house|strong="H1004" with his javelin|strong="H2595" in his hand|strong="H3027": and David|strong="H1732" played|strong="H5059" with his hand|strong="H3027".
9 O mau espírito do Senhor, porém, veio novamente sobre Saul. Estava ele sentado em sua casa, com a lança na mão; Davi tocava a cítara.
10 And Saul|strong="H7586" sought|strong="H1245" to smite|strong="H5221" David|strong="H1732" even to the wall|strong="H7023" with the javelin|strong="H2595"; but he slipped away|strong="H6362" out of Saul’s|strong="H7586" presence|strong="H6440", and he smote|strong="H5221" the javelin|strong="H2595" into the wall|strong="H7023": and David|strong="H1732" fled|strong="H5127", and escaped|strong="H4422" that night|strong="H3915".
10 Saul, então, arremessou-lhe a lança, procurando cravá-lo na parede; Davi desviou-se e a lança foi cravar-se na parede. Davi esquivou-se e fugiu naquela mesma noite.
11 Saul|strong="H7586" also sent|strong="H7971" messengers|strong="H4397" unto David’s|strong="H1732" house|strong="H1004", to watch|strong="H8104" him, and to slay|strong="H4191" him in the morning|strong="H1242": and Michal|strong="H4324" David’s|strong="H1732" wife|strong="H0802" told|strong="H5046" him, saying|strong="H0559", If thou save|strong="H4422" not thy life|strong="H5315" to night|strong="H3915", to morrow|strong="H4279" thou shalt be slain|strong="H4191".
11 Ora, mandou o rei emissários à casa de Davi, para terem-no seguro e assassiná-lo pela manhã. Mas Micol, mulher de Davi, disse-lhe: Se não fugires esta noite, amanhã serás um homem morto.
12 So Michal|strong="H4324" let|strong="H3381" David|strong="H1732" down|strong="H3381" through a window|strong="H2474": and he went|strong="H3212", and fled|strong="H1272", and escaped|strong="H4422".
12 Fê-lo, pois, descer pela janela, e ele fugiu são e salvo.
13 And Michal|strong="H4324" took|strong="H3947" an image|strong="H8655", and laid|strong="H7760" it in the bed|strong="H4296", and put|strong="H7760" a pillow|strong="H3523" of goats’|strong="H5795" hair for his bolster|strong="H4763", and covered|strong="H3680" it with a cloth|strong="H0899".
13 Micol tomou o terafim, meteu-o na cama, colocou-lhe em redor da cabeça uma cobertura de pele de cabra, e cobriu tudo com um manto.
14 And when Saul|strong="H7586" sent|strong="H7971" messengers|strong="H4397" to take|strong="H3947" David|strong="H1732", she said|strong="H0559", He is sick|strong="H2470".
14 Quando chegaram os enviados de Saul para prender Davi, ela disse-lhes: Ele está doente.
15 And Saul|strong="H7586" sent|strong="H7971" the messengers|strong="H4397" again to see|strong="H7200" David|strong="H1732", saying|strong="H0559", Bring him up|strong="H5927" to me in the bed|strong="H4296", that I may slay|strong="H4191" him.
15 Saul mandou-os de novo, com ordem de vê-lo, dizendo: Trazei-mo com sua cama, e eu o matarei.
16 And when the messengers|strong="H4397" were come in|strong="H0935", behold, there was an image|strong="H8655" in the bed|strong="H4296", with a pillow|strong="H3523" of goats’|strong="H5795" hair for his bolster|strong="H4763".
16 Tendo chegado os mensageiros, só encontraram na cama o terafim com uma cobertura de pele de cabra no lugar da cabeça.
17 And Saul|strong="H7586" said|strong="H0559" unto Michal|strong="H4324", Why hast thou deceived me so|strong="H7411", and sent away|strong="H7971" mine enemy|strong="H0341", that he is escaped|strong="H4422"? And Michal|strong="H4324" answered|strong="H0559" Saul|strong="H7586", He said|strong="H0559" unto me, Let me go|strong="H7971"; why should I kill|strong="H4191" thee?
17 Saul disse a Micol: Por que me enganaste assim, deixando escapar o meu inimigo? Micol respondeu: Porque ele me disse: deixa-me partir, senão te mato!
18 So David|strong="H1732" fled|strong="H1272", and escaped|strong="H4422", and came|strong="H0935" to Samuel|strong="H8050" to Ramah|strong="H7414", and told|strong="H5046" him all that Saul|strong="H7586" had done|strong="H6213" to him. And he and Samuel|strong="H8050" went|strong="H3212" and dwelt|strong="H3427" in Naioth|strong="H5121".
18 Davi fugiu, pois, e foi ocultar-se junto de Samuel, em Ramá; e contou-lhe tudo o que Saul lhe fizera. E foram ambos morar em Naiot.
19 And it was told|strong="H5046" Saul|strong="H7586", saying|strong="H0559", Behold, David|strong="H1732" is at Naioth|strong="H5121" in Ramah|strong="H7414".
19 Disseram a Saul: Davi está em Naiot, perto de Ramá.
20 And Saul|strong="H7586" sent|strong="H7971" messengers|strong="H4397" to take|strong="H3947" David|strong="H1732": and when they saw|strong="H7200" the company|strong="H3862" of the prophets|strong="H5030" prophesying|strong="H5012", and Samuel|strong="H8050" standing|strong="H5975" as appointed|strong="H5324" over them, the Spirit|strong="H7307" of God|strong="H0430" was upon the messengers|strong="H4397" of Saul|strong="H7586", and they also prophesied|strong="H5012".
20 Saul mandou homens para prendê-lo, mas quando viram a comunidade dos profetas em delírio, tendo Samuel à sua frente, o espírito de Deus veio sobre os enviados de Saul que começaram, também eles, a profetizar.
21 And when it was told|strong="H5046" Saul|strong="H7586", he sent|strong="H7971" other|strong="H0312" messengers|strong="H4397", and they prophesied|strong="H5012" likewise. And Saul|strong="H7586" sent|strong="H7971" messengers|strong="H4397" again|strong="H3254" the third|strong="H7992" time, and they prophesied|strong="H5012" also.
21 Contaram-no a Saul, que enviou outros mensageiros, mas também estes se puseram a cantar como os primeiros. Saul mandou um terceiro grupo, os quais também profetizaram.
22 Then went|strong="H3212" he also to Ramah|strong="H7414", and came|strong="H0935" to a great|strong="H1419" well|strong="H0953" that is in Sechu|strong="H7906": and he asked|strong="H7592" and said|strong="H0559", Where|strong="H0375" are Samuel|strong="H8050" and David|strong="H1732"? And one said|strong="H0559", Behold, they be at Naioth|strong="H5121" in Ramah|strong="H7414".
22 Então ele foi pessoalmente a Ramá. Chegando à grande cisterna de Soco, perguntou: Onde estão Samuel e Davi? Estão em Naiot, responderam-lhe, perto de Ramá.
23 And he went|strong="H3212" thither to Naioth|strong="H5121" in Ramah|strong="H7414": and the Spirit|strong="H7307" of God|strong="H0430" was upon him also, and he went|strong="H3212" on|strong="H1980", and prophesied|strong="H5012", until he came|strong="H0935" to Naioth|strong="H5121" in Ramah|strong="H7414".
23 Mas, no caminho para Naiot, assaltou-o também o espírito de Deus, e Saul foi tomado de transes por todo o caminho até chegar a Naiot.
24 And he stripped off|strong="H6584" his clothes|strong="H0899" also|strong="H1571", and prophesied|strong="H5012" before|strong="H6440" Samuel|strong="H8050" in like manner, and lay down|strong="H5307" naked|strong="H6174" all that day|strong="H3117" and all that night|strong="H3915". Wherefore they say|strong="H0559", Is Saul|strong="H7586" also among the prophets|strong="H5030"?
24 Despiu suas vestes, profetizando diante de Samuel e ficou assim despido, prostrado por terra durante todo o dia e toda a noite. Daí o ditado: Está Saul também entre os profetas?
