1 When the lord brought back the captivity of Sion, we became like men comforted.

2 Then was our mouth filled with gladness; and our tongue with joy. Then shall they say among the Gentiles: The Lord hath done great things for them.
2 É inútil trabalhar tanto, desde a madrugada até tarde da noite, e se preocupar em conseguir o alimento, pois Deus cuida de seus amados enquanto dormem.
3 The Lord hath done great things for us: we are become joyful.
3 Os filhos são um presente do S enhor , uma recompensa que ele dá.
4 Turn again our captivity, O Lord, as a stream in the south.
4 Os filhos que o homem tem em sua juventude são como flechas na mão do guerreiro.
5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
5 Feliz é o que tem uma aljava cheia delas; não será envergonhado quando enfrentar seus inimigos às portas da cidade.
6 Going they went and wept, casting their seeds.
