1 A canticle of a psalm for David himself.
1 O meu coração está firme, ó Deus, bem firme; eu cantarei hinos em teu louvor. Acorde, meu coração!
2 My heart is ready, O God, my heart is ready: I will sing, and will give praise, with my glory.
2 Minha harpa e minha lira , acordem! Eu acordarei o sol.
3 Arise, my glory; arise, psaltery and harp: I will arise in the morning early.
3 Ó Senhor Deus, eu te darei graças no meio das nações; eu te louvarei entre os povos.
4 I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: and I will sing unto thee among the populations.
4 O teu amor está acima dos céus, e a tua fidelidade chega até as nuvens.
5 For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth even unto the clouds.
5 Ó Deus, mostra a tua grandeza nos céus e que a tua no mundo inteiro!
6 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens, and thy glory over all the earth:
6 Salva-nos com o teu poder; responde à nossa oração para que o povo que tu amas seja salvo.
7 that thy beloved may be delivered. Save with thy right hand and hear me.
7 No seu Templo, Deus disse: “Quando eu vencer, dividirei a cidade de Siquém e repartirei o vale de Sucote entre o meu povo.
8 God hath spoken in his holiness. I will rejoice, and I will divide Sichem and I will mete out the vale of tabernacles.
8 Gileade é meu, e Manassés, também; Efraim é o meu capacete, e Judá é o meu
9 Galaad is mine, and Manasses is mine and Ephraim the protection of my head. Juda is my king:
9 Porém Moabe será a minha bacia de lavar; e eu jogarei as minhas sandálias sobre Edom, como um sinal de que esse país é meu. Eu cantarei a minha vitória sobre os filisteus.”
10 Moab the pot of my hope. Over Edom I will stretch out my shoe: the aliens are become my friends.
10 Ó Deus, quem me levará para dentro da cidade protegida por muralhas? Quem me guiará até Edom?
11 Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?
11 Será que, de fato, nos rejeitaste? Será que não vais marchar com os nossos exércitos?
12 Wilt not thou, O God, who hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our armies?
12 Ajuda-nos a combater o inimigo, pois o auxílio de seres humanos não vale nada.
13 O grant us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.
13 Com Deus do nosso lado, venceremos; ele derrotará os nossos inimigos.
14 Through God we shall do mightily: and he will bring our enemies to nothing.
