¹ A canticle of a psalm for David himself.

¹ Preparado está o meu coração, ó Deus; cantarei e darei louvores até com a minha glória.

² My heart is ready, O God, my heart is ready: I will sing, and will give praise, with my glory.

² Despertai, saltério e harpa; eu mesmo despertarei ao romper da alva.

³ Arise, my glory; arise, psaltery and harp: I will arise in the morning early.

³ Louvar-te-ei entre os povos, Senhor, e a ti cantarei louvores entre as nações.

⁴ I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: and I will sing unto thee among the populations.

⁴ Porque a tua benignidade se estende até aos céus, e a tua verdade chega até às mais altas nuvens.

⁵ For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth even unto the clouds.

⁵ Exalta-te sobre os céus, ó Deus, e a tua glória sobre toda a terra.

⁶ Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens, and thy glory over all the earth:

⁶ Para que sejam livres os teus amados, salva-nos com a tua destra, e ouve-nos.

⁷ that thy beloved may be delivered. Save with thy right hand and hear me.

⁷ Deus falou na sua santidade; eu me regozijarei; repartirei a Siquém, e medirei o vale de Sucote.

⁸ God hath spoken in his holiness. I will rejoice, and I will divide Sichem and I will mete out the vale of tabernacles.

⁸ Meu é Gileade, meu é Manassés; e Efraim a força da minha cabeça, Judá o meu legislador.

⁹ Galaad is mine, and Manasses is mine and Ephraim the protection of my head. Juda is my king:

⁹ Moabe a minha bacia de lavar; sobre Edom lançarei o meu sapato, sobre a Filístia jubilarei.

¹⁰ Moab the pot of my hope. Over Edom I will stretch out my shoe: the aliens are become my friends.

¹⁰ Quem me levará à cidade forte? Quem me guiará até Edom?

¹¹ Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?

¹¹ Porventura não serás tu, ó Deus, que nos rejeitaste? E não sairás, ó Deus, com os nossos exércitos?

¹² Wilt not thou, O God, who hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our armies?

¹² Dá-nos auxílio para sair da angústia, porque vão é o socorro da parte do homem.

¹³ O grant us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.

¹³ Em Deus faremos proezas, pois ele calcará aos pés os nossos inimigos.

¹⁴ Through God we shall do mightily: and he will bring our enemies to nothing.
