1 [To the chief Musician. On Shoshannim-Eduth. Of Asaph. A Psalm.] Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that sittest {between} the cherubim, shine forth.
1 Ó pastor de Israel, dá ouvidos; tu, que guias a José como a um rebanho, que te assentas entre os querubins, resplandece.
2 Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, stir up thy strength, and come to our deliverance.
2 Perante Efraim, Benjamim e Manassés, desperta o teu poder e vem salvar-nos.
3 O God, restore us; and cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.
3 Faze-nos voltar, ó Deus; faze resplandecer o teu rosto, e seremos salvos.
4 Jehovah, God of hosts, how long will thine anger smoke against the prayer of thy people?
4 Ó Senhor , Deus dos Exércitos, até quando te indignarás contra a oração do teu povo?
5 Thou hast fed them with the bread of tears, and given them tears to drink in large measure:
5 Tu os sustentas com pão de lágrimas e lhes dás a beber lágrimas em abundância.
6 Thou hast made us a strife unto our neighbours, and our enemies mock among themselves.
6 Tu nos pões por objeto de contenção entre os nossos vizinhos; e os nossos inimigos zombam de nós entre si.
7 Restore us, O God of hosts; and cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.
7 Faze-nos voltar, ó Deus dos Exércitos; faze resplandecer o teu rosto, e seremos salvos.
8 Thou broughtest a vine out of Egypt; thou didst cast out the nations, and plant it:
8 Trouxeste uma vinha do Egito; lançaste fora as nações e a plantaste.
9 Thou preparedst space before it, and it took deep root, and filled the land;
9 Preparaste-lhe lugar, e fizeste com que ela aprofundasse raízes; e, assim, encheu a terra.
10 The mountains were covered with its shadow, and the branches thereof were {like} cedars of *God;
10 Os montes cobriram-se com a sua sombra, e como os cedros de Deus se tornaram os seus ramos.
11 It sent out its boughs unto the sea, and its shoots unto the river.
11 Ela estendeu a sua ramagem até ao mar, e os seus ramos, até ao rio.
12 Why hast thou broken down its fences, so that all who pass by the way do pluck it?
12 Por que quebraste, então, os seus valados, de modo que todos os que passam por ela a vindimam?
13 The boar out of the forest doth waste it, and the beast of the field doth feed off it.
13 O javali da selva a devasta, e as feras do campo a devoram.
14 O God of hosts, return, we beseech thee; look down from the heavens, and behold, and visit this vine;
14 Oh! Deus dos Exércitos, volta-te, nós te rogamos, atende dos céus, e vê, e visita esta vinha,
15 Even the stock which thy right hand hath planted, and the young plant thou madest strong for thyself.
15 e a videira que a tua destra plantou, e o sarmento que fortificaste para ti!
16 It is burned with fire, it is cut down; they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.
16 Está queimada pelo fogo, está cortada; pereceu pela repreensão da tua face.
17 Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom thou hast made strong for thyself.
17 Seja a tua mão sobre o varão da tua destra, sobre o filho do homem, que fortificaste para ti.
18 So will we not go back from thee. Revive us, and we will call upon thy name.
18 Deste modo, não nos iremos de após ti; guarda-nos em vida, e invocaremos o teu nome.
19 Restore us, O Jehovah, God of hosts; cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.
19 Faze-nos voltar, Senhor , Deus dos Exércitos; faze resplandecer o teu rosto, e seremos salvos.
