1 When Jesus was leaving the temple, one of his disciples said, Look Master, see those big stones and the wonderful houses!
1 E, saindo ele do templo, disse-lhe um dos seus discípulos: Mestre, olha que pedras, e que edifícios!
2 Jesus said, You see these big houses? I tell you, not one stone here will be left on top of another. They will all be thrown down!
2 E, respondendo Jesus, disse-lhe: Vês estes grandes edifícios? Não ficará pedra sobre pedra que não seja derrubada.
3 Afterwards, he was sitting on the hill called the Mount of Olives, near the temple. Peter, James, John, and Andrew came to him alone.
3 E, assentando-se ele no Monte das Oliveiras, defronte do templo, Pedro, e Tiago, e João e André lhe perguntaram em particular:
4 They said, Tell us, when will this happen? What will be the sign when these things are going to be done?
4 Dize-nos, quando serão essas coisas, e que sinal haverá quando todas elas estiverem para se cumprir.
5 Then Jesus began to talk to them. He said, Take care. Do not let anyone fool you.
5 E Jesus, respondendo-lhes, começou a dizer: Olhai que ninguém vos engane;
6 Many men will come in my name. They will say, "I am Christ." They will fool many people.
6 Porque muitos virão em meu nome, dizendo: Eu sou o Cristo; e enganarão a muitos.
7 You will hear about wars. You will hear that war is coming. But do not fear. These things must happen, but that is not yet the end.
7 E, quando ouvirdes de guerras e de rumores de guerras, não vos perturbeis; porque assim deve acontecer; mas ainda não será o fim.
8 One tribe will fight against another tribe. And one country will fight against another country. The earth will shake in many different places. People will have no food to eat. These troubles are only the beginning of the troubles that will come.
8 Porque se levantará nação contra nação, e reino contra reino, e haverá terremotos em diversos lugares, e haverá fomes e tribulações. Estas coisas sào os princípios das dores.
9 But you must take care. Men will take you to court. They will beat you in their meeting houses. They will take you to rulers and kings because you are true to me. You will talk to them about me.
9 Mas olhai por vós mesmos, porque vos entregarão aos concílios e às sinagogas; e sereis açoitados, e sereis apresentados perante presidentes e reis, por amor de mim, para lhes servir de testemunho.
10 The good news must first be told to all people.
10 Mas importa que o evangelho seja primeiramente pregado entre todas as nações.
11 When men take you to court, do not be troubled about what you will say. Say whatever comes to your mind at that time. It is not you who speak, but it is the Holy Spirit.
11 Quando, pois, vos conduzirem e vos entregarem, não estejais solícitos de antemão pelo que haveis de dizer, nem premediteis; mas, o que vos for dado naquela hora, isso falai, porque não sois vós os que falais, mas o Espírito Santo.
12 A brother will take his brother to be killed. A father will take his child. The children will talk against their father and mother and have them killed.
12 E o irmão entregará à morte o irmão, e o pai ao filho; e levantar-se-ão os filhos contra os pais, e os farão morrer.
13 All people will hate you because you are true to me. But the person who keeps on being true to me until the end will be saved.
13 E sereis odiados por todos por amor do meu nome; mas quem perseverar até ao fim, esse será salvo.
14 Daniel the Man of God said that people would put something very bad in the temple. (Let the one who reads this understand it.) When that happens, the people in Judea must go quickly to the hills.
14 Ora, quando vós virdes a abominação do assolamento, que foi predita por Daniel o profeta, estar onde não deve estar (quem lê, entenda), então os que estiverem na Judéia fujam para os montes.
15 A person who is on the top of a house must not go down into the house to get things.
15 E o que estiver sobre o telhado não desça para casa, nem entre a tomar coisa alguma de sua casa;
16 Those who are working in the fields must not go back to get their coats.
16 E o que estiver no campo não volte atrás, para tomar as suas vestes.
17 In those days it will be very hard for women who are to have a child. It will be very hard for mothers who have babies.
17 Mas ai das grávidas, e das que criarem naqueles dias!
18 Ask God that you may not have the trouble in the cold time of the year.
18 Orai, pois, para que a vossa fuga não suceda no inverno.
19 The trouble then will be bigger than any trouble since God made the world. And there never will be any trouble as big as that.
19 Porque naqueles dias haverá uma aflição tal, qual nunca houve desde o princípio da criação, que Deus criou, até agora, nem jamais haverá.
20 No person would be saved if the Lord did not make the time of trouble shorter. He will make it shorter for the sake of his chosen people.
20 E, se o Senhor não abreviasse aqueles dias, nenhuma carne se salvaria; mas, por causa dos eleitosque escolheu, abreviou aqueles dias.
21 If anyone says to you then, "Look, here is the Christ!" or, "There he is!" do not believe it.
21 E então, se alguém vos disser: Eis aqui o Cristo; ou: Ei-lo ali; não acrediteis.
22 People will come and say they are the Christ. People will come and say they are prophets of God. But they are not true to themselves. They will show big signs and do wonderful things that will fool people. They will fool Gods chosen people if they can.
22 Porque se levantarão falsos cristos, e falsos profetas, e farão sinais e prodígios, para enganarem, se for possível, até os escolhidos.
23 Watch! I have told you all these things before they happen.
23 Mas vós vede; eis que de antemão vos tenho dito tudo.
24 In that time of trouble, the sun will be dark. The moon will not shine.
24 Ora, naqueles dias, depois daquela aflição, o sol se escurecerá, e a lua não dará a sua luz.
25 The stars will fall from the sky. And the powers in the sky will be shaken.
25 E as estrelas cairão do céu, e as forças que estão nos céus serão abaladas.
26 Then people will see the sign of the Son of Man in the clouds. He will have much power and be very great.
26 E então verão vir o Filho do homem nas nuvens, com grande poder e glória.
27 He will send out the angels to gather his chosen people. They will gather them from everywhere all over the earth.
27 E ele enviará os seus anjos, e ajuntará os seus escolhidos, desde os quatro ventos, da extremidade da terra até a extremidade do céu.
28 Learn a lesson from the fig tree. As soon as its branches begin to grow and the leaves come, then you know it will soon be the warm time of the year.
28 Aprendei, pois, a parábola da figueira: Quando já o seu ramo se torna tenro, e brota folhas, bem sabeis que já está próximo o verão.
29 It is the same when you see all these things. You will know that the time is very near, right at the door.
29 Assim também vós, quando virdes sucederem estas coisas, sabei que já está perto, às portas.
30 I tell you the truth. The people who are living then will not die before all these things happen.
30 Na verdade vos digo que não passará esta geração, sem que todas estas coisas aconteçam.
31 The sky and the earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
31 Passará o céu e a terra, mas as minhas palavras não passarão.
32 But no one knows the day or the hour when the Son of Man will come. Even the angels in heaven and the Son do not know. Only the Father knows.
32 Mas daquele dia e hora ninguém sabe, nem os anjos que estão no céu, nem o Filho, senão o Pai.
33 So watch! Stay awake and talk with God. You do not know when the time will be.
33 Olhai, vigiai e orai; porque não sabeis quando chegará o tempo.
34 It is like a man who went to a country far away. He left his home and told each one of his servants what work he must do. Then he told the man who guards the door to watch.
34 É como se um homem, partindo para fora da terra, deixasse a sua casa, e desse autoridade aos seus servos, e a cada um a sua obra, e mandasse ao porteiro que vigiasse.
35 So watch! You do not know when the master of the house will come. You do not know if he will come in the evening, or at midnight, or when the cock calls, or in the morning.
35 Vigiai, pois, porque não sabeis quando virá o senhor da casa; se à tarde, se à meia-noite, se ao cantar do galo, se pela manhã,
36 Watch, so that you will not be sleeping if he comes quickly.
36 Para que, vindo de improviso, não vos ache dormindo.
37 What I say to you I say to everybody, and this is "Watch".
37 E as coisas que vos digo, digo-as a todos: Vigiai.
