1 ኢስን ለንኪሃ ምሳሌን
1 Jesus tornou a falar-lhes por meio de parábolas:
2 «ሰሜ ዎምነቱ ቤቲሀስ ቦለች ድግሰ ቅጥአዕዮ ዎመ አጉደኖ።
2 The kingdom of the heavens has become like a king who made a wedding feast for his son,
3 ዎሙንኩ ቦለቺሃ ገኤመ መነ ገእቶተ ካዲመስ ሶኮ፤ ጠዉ እኮጎሬ ገኤመ መኑ አሜቱ ግቦኡ።
3 and sent his bondmen to call the persons invited to the wedding feast, and they would not come.
4 «ለንኪሃ ዎሙንኩ ዎልት ካዲመስ ‹ሁኩዕኑን ድግሰኤ ቅጥ አዕዮም፤ ቦረኤለከ ምሶ ደርገጌተ ጎረጮም፤ ጉዕሙርቹንኩ ቅጥ ይዮኡ፤ ድግስቤቹ አሜ ይቴን ገኤመሀኑኡሃ ኩሌ› ይ ሶኮ።
4 Again he sent other bondmen, saying, Say to the persons invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatted beasts are killed, and all things ready; come to the wedding feast.
5 እሰን ጠወስ ህንቅ መቱ አቡረ ቤቹ ዎሉስንገ ህትን ንግድቤቹ መርቶኡ።
5 But they made light of it, and went, one to his own land, and another to his commerce.
6 ፈቆሩ ህትን ካዲመስ አፍ ዎቀርት ሽቶኡ።
6 And the rest, laying hold of his bondmen, ill-treated and slew {them}.
7 ዎሙንኩ ኡሙዕር ዎታደረስ ሶክ ህከ ሽቶ መነ ሽሲሾ፤ ህከ ከተመንከ ቡሴእ።
7 And {when} the king {heard of it he} was wroth, and having sent his forces, destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
8 ህከ ወክት ካዲማተስ ‹ድግሱኤ ቅጥ ይዮኡ፤ እኮጎሬ ገኤመ መኑ ድግሲሀስ ገበእበረ እኮኡ።
8 Then he says to his bondmen, The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy;
9 ህካን እኮቤቺሃ ዎቃሃ ፉልቴን ደጌንተ መነ ጉዕመንከ ድግሲሃ ገእዬ› ዬሰ።
9 go therefore into the thoroughfares of the highways, and as many as ye shall find invite to the wedding feast.
10 ካዲመንትስ ጎዳነ ፉልት ደጎኢሃ ጉዕመንከ ሂለለከ ጡመ ጭምአታን ቦለች ምኒ መኑ ዊሞ።
10 And those bondmen went out into the highways, and brought together all as many as they found, both evil and good; and the wedding feast was furnished with guests.
11 «ዎሙ ህከ መነ ለኦተ ምኒ ኣጎ ወክት ቦለች ኦድኑተ ኦደእበ መንቹ ለዕይ
11 And the king, having gone in to see the guests, beheld there a man not clothed with a wedding garment.
12 ‹ኢ ጃለ! ቦለች ኦድኑተ ኦደኡዕነ ሀት ከበ ኣጎንት?› ዬስ፤ ሁኩ መንቹንኩ ጨለ ዬእ።
12 And he says to him, {My} friend, how camest thou in here not having on a wedding garment? But he was speechless.
13 ህከኒች ኤተሮን ዎሙ ካዲማተስ ‹አንገስለከ ሎከስ ኡሱርቴን አብሌ ቱንሽቾን ኡጅዬ፤ ህከን ቤቾን ኦኡለከ የቡሩ ገዕሙ እሀኖ› ዬእ።
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him feet and hands, and take him away, and cast him out into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
14 መሰንትስ ገአንቶእሩ ልግብየ፤ እኮጎሬ መጠረንቶእሩ ቀዎሃን» ዬእ።
14 For many are called ones, but few chosen ones.
15 ህከኒች ኤተሮን ፈርሳውት መርት ኢሰ ጠወአኖ ጠዊን ሉሲሶተ አማዕለንቶኡ።

16 And they send out to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thou art true and teachest the way of God in truth, and carest not for any one, for thou regardest not men's person;
17 — ausente —
17 tell us therefore what thou thinkest: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
18 ኢስን ሂልመሰ ደግ «አዕኑ ኩ መኑ ለኦህዕኔተ ይቴን አቴነንተሩ፤ ሚሃት ፌተንቴነንተኤሁ?
18 But Jesus, knowing their wickedness, said, Why tempt ye me, hypocrites?
19 ህንዴ ግብር ባቴኖ ዲናረ ለልሼኤ» ዬሰ፤ እሰን መቱ ዲናረ ኤብ ኣቶስ።
19 Shew me the money of the tribute. And they presented to him a denarius.
20 ኢስን «ከን ዲናር አሌን ከተበሞሁለከ ፎቱስ አዬሃን?» ዬሰ።
20 And he says to them, Whose {is} this image and superscription?
21 እሰን «ሮም ዎምሃን!» ይቶኡ፤ ኢስን «ህካን እኮች ቄሳሬሃ ቄሳሬንከ መገኒሃ መገኒንከ ኣስዬ» ዬሰ።
21 They say to him, Caesar's. Then he says to them, Pay then what is Caesar's to Caesar, and what is God's to God.
22 እሰን ህካን ሞጮጭቶ ወክት አጀብሲጭት አጉርት መርቶኡ።
22 And when they heard {him}, they wondered, and left him, and went away.
23 ህከ በር «ሬዮ መኑ ኬአኖበአ» ይታ ሳዱቃውት ኢስበ አሜት

24 «አስተማርቾ! ሙስ ‹መቱ መንቹ እለተ እሉዕነ ሬዮ ጎሬ አመስቤቱ ጫስ ረገዕይ ሬዮ አመስቤቲሀስ እለተ እሉን› ዬእ።
24 saying, Teacher, Moses said, If any one die, not having children, his brother shall marry his wife and shall raise up seed to his brother.
25 ለመሉ አመኦሱት ኒ አዳን ሄኦ እቅ፤ ሀንገፉስ ጫተ ኤብ እለተ እሉዕነ ሬያን ማዕኑ አመስቤቱ ጫስ ረገዕዮ።
25 Now there were with us seven brethren; and the first having married died, and not having seed, left his wife to his brother.
26 ህትን ለንክሁ፥ ሰቂሁ ለመልቂሃ ኢለ ረገእ እለተ እልቱዕነ ሬቶኡ።
26 In like manner also the second and the third, unto the seven.
27 ጉዕሚችሰን ኤተሮን ህት ጫቲ ሬቶኡ።
27 And last of all the woman also died.
28 ጉዕሙንኩሰ ኣእቶሴቤቺሃ ሬሆች ኬኤኖ ወክት ህት ጫት ህከን ለመለ አመኦሶች ሀከንስ ጫተ እካአ?» ይት ጠዕምቶስ።
28 In the resurrection therefore of which of the seven shall she be wife, for all had her?
29 ጠዉ እኮጎሬ ኢስ ፈንቀሽ «መጻፈለከ መገን ዎልቀተ ደጌነንተበእቤቺሃ ሉሴነንታት።
29 And Jesus answering said to them, Ye err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God.
30 መሰንትስ ሬሆች ኬኤኖ ወክት እሰ ሰሜ መላይከገ እካ ቤሉ ኣእታበኢ፤ መእሲሰንታበኢ።
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as angels of God in heaven.
31 ሬሆች ኬእተኔሃ እኮጎሬ መገኑ ክዕኔኤሃ
31 Quanto à ressurreição dos mortos, não lestes o que Deus vos disse:
32 ‹አን እብራሂምሃ መገኑ፥ ኢሳቂሃ መገኑለከ ያቁብሃ መገኑ› ዬኢሃ አነበቤንታበእንዶ? እስ ሄኣ መኒሃ መገኑ ቤሉ ሬዮ መኒሃ መገኑበአ» ዬሰ።
32 Eu sou o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaac e o Deus de Jacó {Ex 3,6}? Ora, ele não é Deus dos mortos, mas Deus dos vivos.
33 ሁኩ ኡመቱ ህካን ሞጮጭቶ ወክት ኢስ ትምርታን አበ አጀብሲጭቶኡ።
33 E, ouvindo esta doutrina, as turbas se enchiam de grande admiração.
34 ኢስ ሰዱቃውተ መስለ ከሞሰገ ፈርሳውት ሞጮጭቶ ወክት ሜጡበ እክ እስበ አሜቶኡ።
34 Sabendo os fariseus que Jesus reduzira ao silêncio os saduceus, reuniram-se
35 እሳችን መቱ ሕገ ደገኖ መንቹ ፌተኖስተ
35 e um deles, doutor da lei, fez-lhe esta pergunta para pô-lo à prova:
36 «አስተማርቾ! ሕግ ኣዜን ዮ ትዛዚች ሀኩን በተአኖ?» ይ ጠዕሜስ።
36 Mestre, qual é o maior mandamento da lei?
37 ኢስን ፈንቀሽ «ቀርቹ መገኑክ ዊመ ቀልብንከኪ፥ ዊመ ነብሴንከክለከ ዊመ ሰውቲንከክ ኢት።
37 Respondeu Jesus: Amarás o Senhor teu Deus de todo teu coração, de toda tua alma e de todo teu espírito {Dt 6,5}.
38 ኩን ጉዕሚችን በተአኖሃለከ ዎኔሃ ትዛዝ።
38 Este é o maior e o primeiro mandamento.
39 ህካን አጉደኖ ለንክ ትዛዙ ‹ዎሉ መነ ገይክገ ኢት› የኖሃን።
39 E o segundo, semelhante a este, é: Amarás teu próximo como a ti mesmo {Lv 19,18}.
40 ሕጉለከ ነብያኑት ይቶኢሃ ኩ ለሙ ትዛዙ ሜጡበ አዕይ አፈኖ» ዬእ።
40 Nesses dois mandamentos se resumem toda a lei e os profetas.
41 ፈርሳውት ሜጡበ እክ ጭምይቶ ወክት ኢስ
41 Como os fariseus se agrupassem, Jesus interrogou-os:
42 «መሲህተኔሃ መ ሰውይቴነን? እስ አዬሃ ቤቱ?» ይ ጠዕሜሰ፤ እሰን «ደዉዴየ ቤቱ» ይቶኡ።
42 Que pensais vós de Cristo? De quem é filho? Responderam: De Davi!
43 እስን «ህካን እኮች ደዉድ ጠሊለ አያኒን እክ ሀት ‹ቀርቾ› ይ ገአኖስ?
43 Como então, prosseguiu Jesus, Davi, falando sob inspiração do Espírito, chama-o Senhor, dizendo:
44 « ‹ቀርቹ መገኑ ኢ ቀርቺሃ
44 O Senhor disse a meu Senhor: Senta-te à minha direita, até que eu ponha teus inimigos por escabelo dos teus pés {Sl 109,1}?
45 ደዉድ ገዉንኩስ ‹ቀርቾ› ይ ገኤኢች ሀት እክ ቤቱስ እሆተ አታለኖ?» ዬሰ።
45 Se, pois, Davi o chama Senhor, como é ele seu filho?
46 ህካን እኮቤቺሃ አዪሁ መት ላገታ ፈንቀሾተ አታሎበአ፤ ህከን በሬች ኬስ እሰ መቱርቹሃ ጠዕምቶተ መለልቶበአ።
46 Ninguém pôde responder-lhe nada. E, depois daquele dia, ninguém mais ousou interrogá-lo.
