1 Plead my case, O Jehovah, against those who contend with me; fight against those who fight against me.
1 Ó S enhor , defende-me dos que me acusam; luta contra os que lutam contra mim.
2 Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for my help.
2 Põe tua armadura e toma teu escudo, prepara-te para a batalha e vem me socorrer.
3 Also draw out the spear and close up the way against those who pursue me; say to my soul, I am your salvation.
3 Levanta tua lança e teu dardo contra aqueles que me perseguem. Que eu te ouça dizer: “Eu lhe darei vitória!”.
4 Let those who seek after my soul be put to shame and dishonored; let those who devise evil against me be turned back and abashed.
4 Sejam derrotados e humilhados os que procuram me matar, recuem envergonhados os que planejam me prejudicar.
5 Let them be as chaff before the wind, and let the Angel of Jehovah drive them away.
5 Sopra-os para longe, como palha ao vento, e que o anjo do S
6 Let their way be dark and slippery, and let the Angel of Jehovah pursue them.
6 Torna o caminho deles escuro e escorregadio, e que o anjo do S
7 For without cause they have hidden their net for me in a pit; without cause they have dug for my soul.
7 Não lhes fiz mal algum, mas eles me prepararam uma armadilha; sem motivo, abriram uma cova para me pegar.
8 Let destruction come upon him before he knows it, and let his net which he has concealed catch him; let him fall into that very destruction.
8 Portanto, que venha sobre eles destruição repentina! Sejam pegos na armadilha que me prepararam, sejam destruídos na cova que abriram para mim.
9 And my soul shall be joyful in Jehovah; it shall rejoice in His salvation.
9 Então me alegrarei no S enhor , exultarei porque ele me salva.
10 All my bones shall say, Jehovah, who is like You, who delivers the lowly from him who is too strong for him; yea, the poor and the needy from him who plunders him?
10 Eu o louvarei com todos os ossos de meu corpo: “S Quem além de ti resgata o indefeso das mãos do forte? Quem protege o pobre e o humilde daqueles que os exploram?”.
11 Violent witnesses rose up; they asked of me things which I have not known.
11 Testemunhas maldosas depõem contra mim e me acusam de crimes que não cometi.
12 They rewarded me evil for good, to the bereavement of my soul.
12 Pagam-me o bem com o mal; estou desesperado!
13 But when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth; I humbled my soul with fastings; and my prayer returned into my own bosom.
13 Quando eles ficavam doentes, eu lamentava; humilhava-me com jejuns por eles, mas minhas orações não eram respondidas.
14 As a friend, as to my brother, I walked about; as one who mourns for a mother, I was bowed down in gloom, mourning.
14 Como se fossem meus amigos ou familiares, eu me entristecia, como se lamentasse por minha própria mãe.
15 But at my stumbling they gathered themselves together and rejoiced; and before I knew it the attackers gathered themselves against me; they tore at me and were not still;
15 Mas agora, em minha aflição, eles se alegram; triunfantes, juntam-se contra mim. Pessoas que nem conheço me atacam, agridem-me sem cessar.
16 with the hypocrites, mockers, for a cake, they gnashed at me with their teeth.
16 Zombam de mim e me insultam, rosnam e me mostram os dentes.
17 O Jehovah, how long will You look on? Rescue my soul from their ravages, my only one from the lions.
17 Até quando, Senhor, ficarás olhando? Salva-me de seus ataques ferozes, livra-me desses leões!
18 I will give You thanks in the great assembly; I will praise You among many people.
18 Então te darei graças diante da comunidade e te louvarei perante todo o povo.
19 Let not those who are my deceitful enemies rejoice over me, nor let those who hate me without cause wink with the eye.
19 Não permitas que meus inimigos traiçoeiros riam de mim, não deixes que me desprezem os que me odeiam sem razão.
20 For they do not speak peace; but they devise deceitful things against the quiet ones of the earth.
20 Não falam de paz; tramam contra os que vivem tranquilos na terra.
21 They also open wide their mouths against me and have said, Aha, aha! Our eyes have seen it.
21 Gritam: “Ah! Agora o pegamos! Nós o vimos com os próprios olhos!”.
22 You have seen this, O Jehovah; do not keep silent; O Jehovah, do not be far from me.
22 Viste tudo isso, S enhor ; não permaneças calado, Senhor, e não me abandones agora.
23 Stir up Yourself and awake to my justice, to my case, my God and my Lord.
23 Desperta! Levanta-te para me fazeres justiça! Defende minha causa, meu Deus e meu Senhor.
24 Give judgment for me, O Jehovah my God, according to Your righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me.
24 Julga-me, S enhor , meu Deus, conforme a tua justiça; não permitas que meus inimigos riam às minhas custas.
25 Let them not say in their hearts, Aha! Our Soul! Let them not say, We have swallowed him up.
25 Não deixes que digam: “Conseguimos o que queríamos! Agora vamos acabar com ele!”.
26 Let them be ashamed and abashed together, those who rejoice over my adversity. Let them be clothed with shame and reproach who magnify themselves against me.
26 Sejam envergonhados e humilhados os que se alegram com a minha desgraça. Sejam cobertos de vergonha e desonra os que triunfam sobre mim.
27 Let those who delight in my justification shout and rejoice; and let them say continually, Let Jehovah be magnified, who delights in the welfare of His servant.
27 Exultem e alegrem-se, porém, os que me defendem; que eles digam sempre: “Grande é o S que se agrada de abençoar seu servo com paz!”.
28 And my tongue shall speak of Your righteousness and of Your praise all day long.
28 Então proclamarei tua justiça e te louvarei o dia todo.
