¹ Then the heads of the fathers of the Levites came near to Eleazar the priest, to Joshua the son of Nun, and to the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the sons of Israel.

¹ Então, se chegaram os cabeças dos pais dos levitas a Eleazar, o sacerdote, e a Josué, filho de Num, e aos cabeças dos pais das tribos dos filhos de Israel;

² And they spoke to them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, Jehovah has commanded by the hand of Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with their common lands for our cattle.

² e falaram-lhes em Siló, na terra de Canaã, dizendo: O Senhor ordenou, por intermédio de Moisés, que se nos dessem cidades para habitar e os seus arredores para os nossos animais.

³ And the sons of Israel gave to the Levites from their inheritance, at the mouth of Jehovah, these cities and their common lands:

³ E os filhos de Israel deram aos levitas, da sua herança, segundo o mandado do Senhor , estas cidades e os seus arredores.

⁴ And the lot came out for the families of the Kohathites. And the sons of Aaron the priest, who were of the Levites, had thirteen cities by lot from the tribe of Judah, from the tribe of Simeon, and from the tribe of Benjamin.

⁴ Caiu a sorte pelas famílias dos coatitas. Assim, os filhos de Arão, o sacerdote, que eram dos levitas, tiveram, por sorte, da tribo de Judá, da tribo de Simeão e da tribo de Benjamim treze cidades.

⁵ The rest of the sons of Kohath had ten cities by lot from the families of the tribe of Ephraim, from the tribe of Dan, and from the half-tribe of Manasseh.

⁵ Os outros filhos de Coate tiveram, por sorte, das famílias da tribo de Efraim, da tribo de Dã e da meia tribo de Manassés dez cidades.

⁶ And the sons of Gershon had thirteen cities by lot from the families of the tribe of Issachar, from the tribe of Asher, from the tribe of Naphtali, and from the half-tribe of Manasseh in Bashan.

⁶ Os filhos de Gérson tiveram, por sorte, das famílias da tribo de Issacar, da tribo de Aser, da tribo de Naftali e da meia tribo de Manassés, em Basã, treze cidades.

⁷ The sons of Merari according to their families had twelve cities from the tribe of Reuben, from the tribe of Gad, and from the tribe of Zebulun.

⁷ Os filhos de Merari tiveram, por sorte, segundo as suas famílias, da tribo de Rúben, da tribo de Gade e da tribo de Zebulom doze cidades.

⁸ And the sons of Israel gave these cities with their common lands by lot to the Levites, as Jehovah had commanded by the hand of Moses.

⁸ Deram os filhos de Israel aos levitas estas cidades e os seus arredores, por sorte, como o Senhor ordenara por intermédio de Moisés.

⁹ And they gave from the tribe of the sons of Judah and from the tribe of the sons of Simeon these cities which are designated by name,

⁹ Deram mais, da tribo dos filhos de Judá e da tribo dos filhos de Simeão, estas cidades que, nominalmente, foram designadas,

¹⁰ which were for the sons of Aaron, being of the families of the Kohathites, who were of the sons of Levi; for theirs was the first lot.

¹⁰ para que fossem dos filhos de Arão, das famílias dos coatitas, dos filhos de Levi, porquanto a primeira sorte foi deles.

¹¹ And they gave them Kirjath Arba (Arba was the father of Anak), which is Hebron, in the mountains of Judah, with the common land surrounding it.

¹¹ Assim, lhes deram Quiriate-Arba (Arba era pai de Anaque), que é Hebrom, na região montanhosa de Judá, e, em torno dela, os seus arredores.

¹² But the fields of the city and its villages they gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh as his possession.

¹² Porém o campo da cidade, com suas aldeias, deram a Calebe, filho de Jefoné, por sua possessão.

¹³ Thus to the sons of Aaron the priest they gave Hebron with its common land (a city of refuge for the slayer), and Libnah with its common land,

¹³ Assim, aos filhos de Arão, o sacerdote, deram Hebrom, cidade de refúgio do homicida, com seus arredores, Libna com seus arredores,

¹⁴ Jattir with its common land, Eshtemoa with its common land,

¹⁴ Jatir com seus arredores, Estemoa com seus arredores,

¹⁵ Holon with its common land, Debir with its common land,

¹⁵ Holom com seus arredores, Debir com seus arredores,

¹⁶ Ain with its common land, Juttah with its common land, and Beth Shemesh with its common land: nine cities from those two tribes;

¹⁶ Aim com seus arredores, Jutá com seus arredores e Bete-Semes com seus arredores; ao todo, nove cidades dessas duas tribos.

¹⁷ and from the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon with its common land, Geba with its common land,

¹⁷ Da tribo de Benjamim, deram Gibeão com seus arredores, Gaba com seus arredores,

¹⁸ Anathoth with its common land, and Almon with its common land: four cities.

¹⁸ Anatote com seus arredores e Almom com seus arredores; ao todo, quatro cidades.

¹⁹ All the cities of the sons of Aaron, the priests, were thirteen cities with their common lands.

¹⁹ Total das cidades dos sacerdotes, filhos de Arão: treze cidades com seus arredores.

²⁰ And the families of the sons of Kohath, the Levites, the rest of the sons of Kohath, even they had the cities of their lot from the tribe of Ephraim.

²⁰ As mais famílias dos levitas de Coate tiveram as cidades da sua sorte da tribo de Efraim.

²¹ For they gave them Shechem with its common land in the mountains of Ephraim (a city of refuge for the slayer), Gezer with its common land,

²² Kibzaim with its common land, and Beth Horon with its common land: four cities;

²³ and from the tribe of Dan, Eltekeh with its common land, Gibbethon with its common land,

²³ Da tribo de Dã, deram Elteque com seus arredores, Gibetom com seus arredores,

²⁴ Aijalon with its common land, and Gath Rimmon with its common land: four cities;

²⁴ Aijalom com seus arredores e Gate-Rimom com seus arredores; ao todo, quatro cidades.

²⁵ and from the half-tribe of Manasseh, Tanach with its common land and Gath Rimmon with its common land: two cities.

²⁵ Da meia tribo de Manassés, deram Taanaque com seus arredores e Gate-Rimom com seus arredores; ao todo, duas cidades.

²⁶ All the ten cities with their common lands were for the rest of the families of the sons of Kohath.

²⁶ Total: dez cidades com seus arredores, para as famílias dos demais filhos de Coate.

²⁷ Also to the sons of Gershon, of the families of the Levites, from the other half-tribe of Manasseh, they gave Golan in Bashan with its common land (a city of refuge for the slayer), and Be Eshterah with its common land: two cities;

²⁷ Aos filhos de Gérson, das famílias dos levitas, deram, em Basã, da tribo de Manassés, Golã, a cidade de refúgio para o homicida, com seus arredores, e Beesterá com seus arredores; ao todo, duas cidades.

²⁸ and from the tribe of Issachar, Kishion with its common land, Daberath with its common land,

²⁸ Da tribo de Issacar, deram Quisião com seus arredores, Daberate com seus arredores,

²⁹ Jarmuth with its common land, and En Gannim with its common land: four cities;

²⁹ Jarmute com seus arredores e En-Ganim com seus arredores; ao todo, quatro cidades.

³⁰ and from the tribe of Asher, Mishal with its common land, Abdon with its common land,

³⁰ Da tribo de Aser, deram Misal com seus arredores, Abdom com seus arredores,

³¹ Helkath with its common land, and Rehob with its common land: four cities;

³¹ Helcate com seus arredores e Reobe com seus arredores; ao todo, quatro cidades.

³² and from the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee with its common land (a city of refuge for the slayer), Hammoth Dor with its common land, and Kartan with its common land: three cities.

³² Da tribo de Naftali, deram, na Galileia, Quedes, cidade de refúgio para o homicida, com seus arredores, Hamote-Dor com seus arredores e Cartã com seus arredores; ao todo, três cidades.

³³ All the cities of the Gershonites according to their families were thirteen cities with their common lands.

³³ Total das cidades dos gersonitas, segundo as suas famílias: treze cidades com seus arredores.

³⁴ And to the families of the sons of Merari, the rest of the Levites, from the tribe of Zebulun, Jokneam with its common land, Kartah with its common land,

³⁴ Às famílias dos demais levitas dos filhos de Merari deram, da tribo de Zebulom, Jocneão com seus arredores, Cartá com seus arredores,

³⁵ Dimnah with its common land, and Nahalal with its common land: four cities;

³⁵ Dimna com seus arredores e Naalal com seus arredores; ao todo, quatro cidades.

³⁶ and from the tribe of Reuben, Bezer with its common land, Jahaz with its common land,

³⁶ Da tribo de Rúben, deram Bezer com seus arredores, Jaza com seus arredores,

³⁷ Kedemoth with its common land, and Mephaath with its common land: four cities;

³⁷ Quedemote com seus arredores e Mefaate com seus arredores; ao todo, quatro cidades.

³⁸ and from the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead with its common land (a city of refuge for the slayer), Mahanaim with its common land,

³⁸ Da tribo de Gade, deram, em Gileade, Ramote, cidade de refúgio para o homicida, com seus arredores, Maanaim com seus arredores,

³⁹ Heshbon with its common land, and Jazer with its common land: four cities in all.

³⁹ Hesbom com seus arredores e Jazer com seus arredores; ao todo, quatro cidades.

⁴⁰ So all the cities for the sons of Merari according to their families, the rest of the families of the Levites, were by their lot twelve cities.

⁴⁰ Todas estas cidades tocaram por sorte aos filhos de Merari, segundo as suas famílias, que ainda restavam das famílias dos levitas: doze cidades.

⁴¹ All the cities of the Levites within the possession of the children of Israel were forty-eight cities with their common lands.

⁴¹ As cidades, pois, dos levitas, no meio da herança dos filhos de Israel, foram, ao todo, quarenta e oito cidades com seus arredores;

⁴² Every one of these cities had its common land surrounding it; thus were all these cities.

⁴² cada uma das quais com seus arredores em torno de si; assim foi com todas estas cidades.

⁴³ Thus Jehovah gave to Israel all the land of which He had sworn to give to their fathers, and they took possession of it and dwelt in it.

⁴³ Desta maneira, deu o Senhor a Israel toda a terra que jurara dar a seus pais; e a possuíram e habitaram nela.

⁴⁴ And Jehovah gave them rest all around, according to all that He had sworn to their fathers. And not a man of all their enemies stood against them; Jehovah delivered all their enemies into their hand.

⁴⁴ O Senhor lhes deu repouso em redor, segundo tudo quanto jurara a seus pais; nenhum de todos os seus inimigos resistiu diante deles; a todos eles o Senhor lhes entregou nas mãos.

⁴⁵ Not a word failed of any good thing which Jehovah had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.

⁴⁵ Nenhuma promessa falhou de todas as boas palavras que o Senhor falara à casa de Israel; tudo se cumpriu.
