1 A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet on Shigionoth:
1 Oração do profeta Habacuque sob a forma de canto.
2 Jehovah, I have heard the report of You, and am afraid. Jehovah, preserve Your work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make it known; in wrath remember compassion.

5 Adiante dele ia a peste, e raios de fogo, sob os seus pés.
6 He stood and measured the earth; He looked and shook nations; and the ancient mountains were scattered; the perpetual hills bowed down. His ways are eternal.
6 Parou e mediu a terra; olhou e separou as nações; e os montes perpétuos foram esmiuçados, os outeiros eternos se encurvaram; o andar eterno é seu.
7 I saw the tents of Cushan under wickedness; the curtains of the land of Midian trembled.

8 Was Jehovah furious against the rivers? Or was Your anger against the rivers? Or Your wrath against the sea; that You rode on horses, Your chariots of salvation?

9 You bare Your bow naked, according to the oaths of the tribes, even Your Word. Selah. You have divided the earth with rivers.
9 Descoberto se fez o teu arco; os juramentos feitos às tribos foram uma palavra segura. (Selá) Tu fendeste a terra com rios.
10 The mountains saw You and writhed. The floods of water passed by. The deep uttered its voice and lifted up its hands on high.
10 Os montes te viram e tremeram; a inundação das águas passou; deu o abismo a sua voz, levantou as suas mãos ao alto.
11 The sun and moon stood still in their dwelling. At the light of Your arrows they went, at the shining of Your glittering spear.
11 O sol e a lua pararam nas suas moradas; andaram à luz das tuas flechas, ao resplendor do relâmpago da tua lança.
12 You marched through the land in indignation. You threshed the nations in anger.
12 Com indignação marchaste pela terra, com ira trilhaste as nações.
13 You went forth for the salvation of Your people, for the salvation of Your anointed. You struck the head from the house of the wicked by laying bare the foundation to the neck. Selah.
13 Tu saíste para salvamento do teu povo, para salvamento do teu ungido; tu feriste a cabeça da casa do ímpio, descobrindo os fundamentos até ao pescoço. (Selá)
14 You thrust through with his own arrows the head of his villages. They came out in a rage to scatter me; their exultation was to devour the humble in secret.
14 Tu abriste com os seus próprios cajados a cabeça dos seus guerreiros; eles me acometeram tempestuosos para me espalharem; alegravam-se, como se estivessem para devorar o pobre em segredo.
15 You trod in the sea with Your horses through the surging of many waters.
15 Tu, com os teus cavalos, marchaste pelo mar, pela massa de grandes águas.
16 When I heard, my body trembled; my lips quivered at the sound. Rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled within myself, that I might rest in the day of distress. When he comes up against the peoples, he will attack.
16 Ouvindo-o eu, o meu ventre se comoveu, à sua voz tremeram os meus lábios; entrou a podridão nos meus ossos, e estremeci dentro de mim; descanse eu no dia da angústia, quando ele vier contra o povo que nos destruirá.
17 Though the fig tree shall not blossom, and fruit is not on the vines; the work of the olive fails, and the fields yield no food; the flock is cut off from the fold, and no herd is in the stalls,
17 Porquanto, ainda que a figueira não floresça, nem haja fruto na vide; o produto da oliveira minta, e os campos não produzam mantimento; as ovelhas da malhada sejam arrebatadas, e nos currais não haja vacas,
18 yet I will exult in Jehovah; I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.
18 todavia, eu me alegrarei no Senhor , exultarei no Deus da minha salvação.
19 Jehovah God is my strength, and He makes my feet like does feet, and He will make me to walk on my high places. To the chief singer, on Neginoth.
19 Jeová , o Senhor, é minha força, e fará os meus pés como os das cervas, e me fará andar sobre as minhas alturas. (Para o cantor-mor sobre os meus instrumentos de música.)
