1 David built houses for himself in the City of David; and he prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched a tent for it.
1 Fez também Davi casa para si na Cidade de Davi; e preparou um lugar para a arca de Deus e armou-lhe uma tenda.
2 Then David said, No one may carry the ark of God but the Levites, for Jehovah has chosen them to carry the ark of God and to serve before Him continually.
2 Então, disse Davi: Ninguém pode levar a arca do Senhor , senão os levitas; porque o Senhor os elegeu, para levarem a arca do Senhor e para o servirem eternamente.
3 And David gathered all Israel together at Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of Jehovah to its place, which he had prepared for it.
3 E Davi ajuntou a todo o Israel em Jerusalém, para fazerem subir a arca do Senhor ao seu lugar, que lhe tinha preparado.
4 And David assembled the sons of Aaron and the Levites:
4 E Davi ajuntou os filhos de Arão e os levitas:
5 of the sons of Kohath, Uriel the chief, and one hundred and twenty of his brethren;
5 dos filhos de Coate: Uriel, o príncipe, e seus irmãos, cento e vinte;
6 of the sons of Merari, Asaiah the chief, and two hundred and twenty of his brethren;
6 dos filhos de Merari: Asaías, o príncipe, e seus irmãos, duzentos e vinte;
7 of the sons of Gershom, Joel the chief, and one hundred and thirty of his brethren;
7 dos filhos de Gérson: Joel, o príncipe, e seus irmãos, cento e trinta;
8 of the sons of Elizaphan, Shemaiah the chief, and two hundred of his brethren;
8 dos filhos de Elisafã: Semaías, o príncipe, e seus irmãos, duzentos;
9 of the sons of Hebron, Eliel the chief, and eighty of his brethren;

10 of the sons of Uzziel, Amminadab the chief, and one hundred and twelve of his brethren.

11 And David summoned Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and the Levites: Uriel, Asaiah, Joel, Shemaiah, Eliel, and Amminadab;
11 E chamou Davi os sacerdotes Zadoque e Abiatar e os levitas Uriel, Asaías, Joel, Semaías, Eliel e Aminadabe
12 and he said to them, You are the heads of the fathers of the Levites; consecrate yourselves, you and your brethren, that you may bring up the ark of Jehovah the God of Israel to the place I have prepared for it.
12 e disse-lhes: Vós sois os chefes dos pais entre os levitas; santificai-vos, vós e vossos irmãos, para que façais subir a arca do Senhor , Deus de Israel, ao lugar que lhe tenho preparado.
13 For because you did not do it the first time, Jehovah our God has burst out against us, because we had not inquired of Him concerning the ordinance.
13 Pois que, porquanto primeiro vós assim o não fizestes, o Senhor fez rotura em nós, porque o não buscamos segundo a ordenança.
14 So the priests and the Levites consecrated themselves to bring up the ark of Jehovah the God of Israel.
14 Santificaram-se, pois, os sacerdotes e levitas, para fazerem subir a arca do Senhor , Deus de Israel.
15 And the sons of the Levites carried the ark of God on their shoulders, by its poles, as Moses had commanded according to the Word of Jehovah.
15 E os filhos dos levitas trouxeram a arca de Deus aos ombros, como Moisés tinha ordenado, conforme a palavra do Senhor , com as varas que tinham sobre si.
16 And David commanded the chiefs of the Levites to appoint their brethren as singers with instruments of song, lutes, harps, and resounding cymbals, to raise the voice with joy.
16 E disse Davi aos príncipes dos levitas que constituíssem a seus irmãos, os cantores, com instrumentos músicos, com alaúdes, harpas e címbalos, para que se fizessem ouvir, levantando a voz com alegria.
17 So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brethren, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of their brethren the sons of Merari, Ethan the son of Kushaiah;
17 Ordenaram, pois, os levitas a Hemã, filho de Joel; e dos seus irmãos a Asafe, filho de Berequias; e dos filhos de Merari, seus irmãos, a Etã, filho de Cusaías.
18 and with them their brethren of the second rank. The gatekeepers: Zechariah, Ben, Jaaziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattithiah, Elipheleh, Mikneiah, Obed-Edom, and Jeiel.
18 E com eles a seus irmãos da segunda ordem: Zacarias, e Bene, e Jaaziel, e Semiramote, e Jeiel, e Uni, e Eliabe, e Benaia, e Maaseias, e Matitias, e Elifeleu, e Micneias, e Obede-Edom, e Jeiel, os porteiros.
19 The singers: Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, to sound the cymbals of bronze.
19 E os cantores, Hemã, Asafe e Etã se faziam ouvir com címbalos de metal;
20 Lutes on Alamoth: Zechariah, Aziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Maaseiah, and Benaiah.
20 e Zacarias, e Aziel, e Semiramote, e Jeiel, e Uni, e Eliabe, e Maaseias, e Benaia, com alaúdes, sobre Alamote;
21 Directing with harps on the Sheminith: Mattithiah, Elipheleh, Mikneiah, Obed-Edom, Jeiel, and Azaziah.

22 The songs: Chenaniah, chief of the Levites; he taught the songs because he had understanding.

23 Doorkeepers for the ark: Berechiah and Elkanah.

24 Sounding the trumpets before the ark of God: Shebaniah, Joshaphat, Nethanel, Amasai, Zechariah, Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests. Doorkeepers for the ark: Obed-Edom and Jehiah.
24 E Sebanias, e Josafá, e Netanel, e Amasai, e Zacarias, e Benaia, e Eliézer, os sacerdotes, tocavam as trombetas perante a arca de Deus; e Obede-Edom e Jeías eram porteiros da arca.
25 Thus David, the elders of Israel, and the commanders over thousands went to bring up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah from the house of Obed-Edom with joy.
25 Sucedeu, pois, que Davi, e os anciãos de Israel, e os capitães dos milhares foram para fazerem subir, com alegria, a arca do concerto do Senhor , da casa de Obede-Edom.
26 And so it was, as God helped the Levites who were carrying the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, that they sacrificed seven bulls and seven rams.
26 E sucedeu que, ajudando Deus os levitas que levavam a arca do concerto do Senhor , sacrificaram sete novilhos e sete carneiros.
27 David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, as were all the Levites who bore the ark, the singers, and Chenaniah the leader in uplifting singing. David also wore a linen ephod.
27 E Davi ia vestido de um roupão de linho fino, como também todos os levitas que levavam a arca, e os cantores, e Quenanias, chefe dos que levavam a arca e dos cantores; também Davi levava sobre si um éfode de linho.
28 Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah with shouting and with the sound of the shofar, with trumpets and with cymbals, sounding aloud with lutes and harps.
28 E todo o Israel fez subir a arca do concerto do Senhor , com júbilo, e com sonido de buzinas, e com trombetas, e com címbalos, fazendo sonido com alaúdes e com harpas.
29 And it happened, as the ark of the covenant of Jehovah came to the City of David, that Michal, Sauls daughter, looked through a window and saw King David whirling and playing; and she despised him in her heart.
29 E sucedeu que, chegando a arca do concerto do Senhor à Cidade de Davi, Mical, filha de Saul, olhou de uma janela e, vendo a Davi dançar e tocar, o desprezou no seu coração.
