5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 ɓay ká Ŋgɛrɛwṵru ɓaa ɗo ɓil mbeɗe ɓe na ɓaa mii:
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Tisawke ku na ɓa fe ká ndaɗ ɓamba tasiri ɓay tul ɓaarì ká ì ɗaa law-rì ɓo tul-e. Roo lɛ, nzoɓri ká i ɗaa law-ri ɓo tul-e ya na,
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 I ɓaa ká zaɗ kḭ ɓoɗ rɔɓay mii:
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Roo lɛ, ɓaarì na ì ɓa sa̰w nzoɓri ká Ŋgɛrɛwṵru nan rì ɓa taa ɓe, í ɓa nzoɓ fe poyri ká ì mbi sùo-rì í ɗáake peɗ ha̰ ni ɓe káʼa ɓa mbay luye, í ɓa nzoɓ sa̰w puo ká taŋ kaɗ kaɗ, a í ɓa nzoɓri ká ì ɗo ɓoɗ ɓa taa ɓe. 9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Pola na, ì ɓa nzoɓ taa Ŋgɛrɛwṵru ya, a lɛ timbɛɗɛ key na, ì ɓa nzoɓ taa ɓeri. Pola na, Ŋgɛrɛwṵru kɔ nun síe ɓaarì ya, roo lɛ, timbɛɗɛ key na ka kɔ nun síe ɓaarì.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Ɓaarì ká mì kɔ rì ɓa nzoɓ nun-i ká í ɓa nzoɓ varuri ká í kaw tul puo kḭri ɓoɗ ɓoɗ ká tusiri key na, ɓay ká mì ɓóke rì na ze ɗo key: ì kɔ́rɔ sùo-rì ɓay tul kɔn fe naysuori ká ɗaa ruy ká ɓil naysuo-rì ɓay ɓíɛ rì na.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Ì se simseɗ kere ká sakra nzoɓri ká i tuu Ŋgɛrɛwṵru ya na. Ɓe nda̰w rɔɔ, zaɗka nzoɓri ɗaa ɓay ɓo tul-rì, í ɗi rì ɓa nzoɓ ɗáa ka̰ayari lɛ, ɓáy faa peɗ kere ɓaarì ká ì ɗaa ká i kɔ́kɔ na nda̰w rɔɔ, i písike Ŋgɛrɛwṵru ɓáy nam káʼa yḭ́i a ví ziŋ ri na ɓáy.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Nzoɓ rewpuo ha̰a ha̰a hɔy kara, ì ɗiŋ tul-rì ká pol-ri ɓay tul Ŋgɛrɛmbay. Ì ɗiŋ tul-rì ká pol mbay luye ká re tul mbay ha̰wri,

15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Ì se simseɗ ɓa nzoɓri ká ì maa ɓay káw ɓáy tul-rì, roo lɛ, kɔkɔ ká ì ha̰ simseɗ káw ɓáy tul ɓaarì na, ka ɗo munu ɓa badɔkɔ ká ɓay púɗke fe ɗáa ka̰aya ɓaarì ya. Ì se simseɗ kere ɓaŋguɔ munu ɓa koy peɗ Ŋgɛrɛwṵruri.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Ì ɗaa mbay ká ɓo tul nzoɓri riw bele í hii yṵ ɓaarì ká ɓil mbika law, í ɗaa vu mbom ɓo tul Ŋgɛrɛwṵru, a í ɗaa mbay ka ɓo tul mbay luye.

18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Zaɗka i ɗáa rì kɔ sɛkɛ fe gɔr hɔy taŋ ɓayke, rɔɔ ì sṵu law-rì ká ɗi ɓay tul Ŋgɛrɛwṵru lɛ, ɓa fe kere ká nun-ɛ.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Ì kɔ, ɓaarì ká i nda rì ɓay tul fe ɗáa ka̰aya ɓaarì, rɔɔ ì sṵu law-rì ká ɗi na wa̰a, nzoɓ ve ze a písi rì lɛ? Roo lɛ, zaɗka ì kɔ sɛkɛ fe ɓay tul fe kere ká ì ɗaa, rɔɔ í sṵu law-rì ká ɗi lɛ, ɓa fe kere ká nun Ŋgɛrɛwṵru.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Ɓe mini ze, Ŋgɛrɛwṵru ɗíke rì ɓayke, ɓay ḭi lɛ, *Krisi kḭ sùo-ɛ na kɔ sɛkɛ fe ɓay tul-rì, a pɔŋ ɗo ɓa fe mboro kḭ ha rì, ɓay haŋa rì mbi bol nduo ɓal-ɛ í ɗaa.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Ɓe na, ka ɗaa feya̰a ya, nzoɓ laa kúɗ ɓay ká nzi-ɛ ba mbḭw ya nda̰w.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Zaɗka i raɗ ni na, ka yḭ̀i a raɗ ri ya. A zaɗka i ɗaa ni kɔ sɛkɛ fe na kara, ka yḭiŋra ɓáy ɓay ndaya ha ri ya nda̰w, roo lɛ, ka pɔŋ sùo-ɛ ɓo nduo Ŋgɛrɛwṵru ká kuŋ sal ɓay ɓáy zaɗɛ nzɛɗɛm.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 A lɛ, ɓe Krisi kḭ sùo-ɛ na, ka fa̰a feya̰a naari a soɓ a huke ká tul puu say huɗ, ɓay haŋa ɓo, náa pɔ́ŋkeri nzaa nduo ɗoko ɓil feya̰a na, a náa séri simseɗ ká ɗo ɓáy zaɗɛ nzɛɗɛm ká nun Ŋgɛrɛwṵru. Ɓáy faa nṵɔri ká Krisi ziŋ na, ì vǎake ɓáy kere,
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 ɓay ḭi lɛ, pola na ì ɗo munu ɓa baɗuri ká i zekre kḭ kpɛrkɛ kpɛrkɛ, roo lɛ, timbɛɗɛ key na Ŋgɛrɛwṵru yḭiŋra rì vi luo Nzoɓ Hɔ́l Baɗuri ká ɓa nzoɓ kɔ́rɔ rì na.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
