1 Verily, verily I say to you, he that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, he is a thief and a robber.
1 Na verdade, na verdade, eu vos digo: Aquele que não entra pela porta no aprisco das ovelhas, mas sobe por outros caminhos, esse é ladrão e salteador.
2 But he that entereth in by the door, is the shepherd of the sheep.
2 Mas o que entra pela porta é o pastor das ovelhas.
3 To him the door-keeper openeth, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.
3 A este o porteiro abre, e as ovelhas ouvem a sua voz; e ele chama as suas próprias ovelhas pelo nome, e as conduz para fora.
4 And when he hath led forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
4 E, quando ele coloca para fora as suas ovelhas, vai adiante delas, e as ovelhas o seguem, porque elas conhecem a sua voz.
5 They will not follow a stranger, but will flee from him; for they know not the voice of strangers.
5 E não seguirão um estranho, mas fugirão dele; porque elas não conhecem a voz dos estranhos.
6 This parable spake Jesus to them; but they understood not what things they were which he spake to them.
6 Jesus falava-lhes esta parábola; mas eles não compreendiam as coisas que ele lhes falava.
7 Therefore Jesus said to them again, Verily, verily I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
7 Então disse-lhes Jesus novamente: Na verdade, na verdade, eu vos digo: Eu sou a porta das ovelhas.
8 Whosoever are come before me, are thieves and robbers; but the sheep did not hear them.
8 Todos quantos vieram antes de mim são ladrões e salteadores; mas as ovelhas não os ouviram.
9 I am the door; if any one enter in by me, he shall be safe, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
9 Eu sou a porta; se algum homem entrar por mim, ele será salvo, e entrará e sairá, e achará pastagens.
10 The thief cometh not, but to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they may have life, and that they may have it abundantly.
10 O ladrão não vem senão para roubar, matar e destruir; eu vim para que tenham vida e a tenham em abundância.
11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd layeth down his life for the sheep.
11 Eu sou o bom pastor; o bom pastor dá a sua vida pelas ovelhas.
12 But the hireling, who is not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: so the wolf seizeth them, and scattereth the flock.
12 Mas o que é mercenário, e não pastor, de quem não são as ovelhas, vê o lobo vindo, e deixa as ovelhas, e foge; e o lobo as apanha, e dispersa as ovelhas.
13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.
13 O mercenário foge, porque ele é mercenário, e não cuida das ovelhas.
14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine;
14 Eu sou o bom pastor, e conheço as minhas ovelhas, e das minhas sou conhecido.
15 (As the Father knoweth me, and I know the Father) and I lay down my life for the sheep.
15 Assim como o Pai me conhece, também eu conheço o Pai; e eu dou a minha vida pelas ovelhas.
16 I have also other sheep which are not of this fold: I must bring them likewise, and they will hear my voice, and there shall be one flock, and one shepherd.
16 E eu tenho outras ovelhas que não são deste aprisco; a essas também me importa conduzir, e elas ouvirão a minha voz; e haverá um rebanho, e um pastor.
17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I may take it again.
17 Por isto o meu Pai me ama, porque dou a minha vida para que possa tomá-la novamente.
18 No one taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again.
18 Nenhum homem a tira de mim, mas eu de mim mesmo a dou. Eu tenho poder para a dar, e eu tenho poder para tomá-la novamente. Esse mandamento eu recebi de meu Pai.
19 This commission have I received of my Father. There was again a division among the Jews, because of these sayings.
19 Houve, pois, novamente uma divisão entre os judeus por causa dessas palavras.
20 Many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad: why hear ye him?
20 E muitos deles diziam: Ele tem demônio e é louco, por que o escutais?
21 Others said, These are not the words of one that hath a devil. Can a devil open the eyes of the blind?
21 Outros diziam: Essas palavras não são de quem tem demônio. Pode um demônio abrir os olhos dos cegos?
22 Now the feast of the dedication came on at Jerusalem: and it was winter.
22 E celebrava-se em Jerusalém a festa da dedicação, e era inverno.
23 And Jesus was walking in the temple, in Solomon's portico.
23 E Jesus caminhava no templo, no pórtico de Salomão.
24 Then came the Jews round about him, and said to him, How long dost thou keep us in suspense?
24 Então, vindo os judeus o rodearam, e disseram-lhe: Até quando tu irás deixar-nos em dúvida? Se tu és o Cristo, dize-nos claramente.
25 If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly. Jesus answered them, I have told you; yet ye do not believe: the works that I do in my Father's name, they testify of me.
25 Respondeu-lhes Jesus: Já vos tenho dito, e não o credes; as obras que eu faço em nome de meu Pai, essas testemunham de mim.
26 But, as I have told you, ye do not believe, because ye are not of my sheep.
26 Mas vós não credes, porque não sois das minhas ovelhas, como eu já vos tenho dito.
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.
27 As minhas ovelhas ouvem a minha voz, e eu as conheço, e elas me seguem;
28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall any pluck them out of my hand.
28 e dou-lhes a vida eterna, e nunca hão de perecer, e nenhum homem as arrancará da minha mão.
29 My Father, who gave them me, is greater than all; and none shall pluck them out of my Father's hand.
29 Meu Pai, que as deu a mim, é maior do que todos; e nenhum homem pode arrancá-las da mão de meu Pai.
30 I and the Father are one.
30 Eu e o meu Pai somos um.
31 Then the Jews again took up stones to stone him. Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father;
31 Então, os judeus pegaram outra vez pedras para o apedrejarem.
32 for which of those works do ye stone me?
32 Respondeu-lhes Jesus: Muitas obras boas da parte de meu Pai eu vos tenho mostrado; por qual dessas obras me apedrejais?
33 The Jews answered him, We stone thee not for a good work, but for blasphemy, and because thou, being a man, makest thyself God.
33 Os judeus responderam, dizendo-lhe: Não te apedrejamos por alguma obra boa, mas pela blasfêmia, porque, sendo tu homem, te fazes Deus.
34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, ye are gods?
34 Respondeu-lhes Jesus: Não está escrito na vossa lei: Eu disse: Vós sois deuses?
35 If he call them gods, to whom the word of
35 Se ele os chamou de deuses a quem veio a palavra de Deus, e a escritura não pode ser anulada,
36 God came (and the scripture cannot be broken) Say ye of him whom God hath sanctified and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest, because I said, I am the Son of God?
36 àquele a quem o Pai santificou, e enviou ao mundo, dizeis vós: Tu blasfemas, porque eu disse: Eu sou filho de Deus?
37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.
37 Se eu não faço as obras de meu Pai, não acrediteis em mim.
38 But if I do, tho' ye believe not me, believe the works; that ye may know and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.
38 Mas, se as faço, ainda que não creiais em mim, crede nas obras; para que saibais e creiais que o Pai está em mim, e eu, nele.
39 Therefore they sought again to seize him; but he escaped out of their hand.
39 Por isso, eles procuravam novamente prendê-lo; mas ele escapou de suas mãos,
40 And he went away again beyond Jordan, to the place where John baptized at first, and there he abode.
40 e retirou-se novamente para além do Jordão, para o lugar onde João batizava no princípio, e ali ele permaneceu.
41 And many came to him and said, John did no miracle: but all things that John spake of this man were true.
41 E muitos recorriam a ele e diziam: João não fez milagre algum, mas todas as coisas que João falava sobre este homem eram verdadeiras.
42 And many believed on him there.
42 E muitos ali creram nele.
