1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
1 Eu sou a videira verdadeira, e o meu Pai é o lavrador.
2 Every branch in me that does not bear fruit, he takes it away: and every [branch] that bears fruit, he cleanses it, that it may bear more fruit.
2 Todo ramo em mim que não dá fruto, ele tira, e todo ramo que carrega fruto, ele limpa, para que possa trazer mais fruto.
3 Already you{+} are clean because of the word which I have spoken to you{+}.
3 Agora vós estais limpos pela palavra que eu vos disse.
4 Stay in me, and I in you{+}. As the branch can't bear fruit of itself, except it stays in the vine; so neither can you{+}, except you{+} stay in me.
4 Permanecei em mim, e eu em vós. Como o ramo não pode dar fruto por si mesmo, a não ser que permaneça na videira, assim também vós não podeis, a não ser que permaneçais em mim.
5 I am the vine, you{+} are the branches: He who stays in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit: for apart from me you{+} can do nothing.
5 Eu sou a videira, vós sois os ramos; quem permanece em mim, e eu nele, esse dá muito fruto; porque sem mim nada podeis fazer.
6 If a man does not stay in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
6 Se alguém não permanece em mim, ele é lançado fora como um ramo, e murcha; e homens os recolhem, e os lançam no fogo, e eles são queimados.
7 If you{+} stay in me, and my words stay in you{+}, ask whatever you{+} will, and it will be done to you{+}.
7 Se vós permanecerdes em mim, e as minhas palavras permanecerem em vós, pedireis o que quiserdes, e vos será feito.
8 In this is my Father glorified, that you{+} may bear much fruit and may be my disciples.
8 Nisto é glorificado o meu Pai, que deis muito fruto; e assim sereis meus discípulos.
9 Even as the Father has loved me, I also have loved you{+}: stay{+} in my love.
9 Como o Pai me amou, assim também eu vos amei; permanecei no meu amor.
10 If you{+} keep my commandments, you{+} will stay in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and stay in his love.
10 Se vós guardardes os meus mandamentos, permanecereis no meu amor, do mesmo modo como eu tenho guardado os mandamentos de meu Pai, e permaneço no seu amor.
11 These things I have spoken to you{+}, that my joy may be in you{+}, and [that] your{+} joy may be made full.
11 Estas coisas vos tenho dito para que a minha alegria permaneça em vós, e para que a vossa alegria seja completa.
12 This is my commandment, that you{+} love one another, even as I have loved you{+}.
12 Este é meu mandamento: Que vos ameis uns aos outros, assim como eu vos amei.
13 Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
13 Ninguém tem maior amor do que este, de algum homem entregar a sua vida pelos seus amigos.
14 You{+} are my friends, if you{+} do the things which I command you{+}.
14 Vós sois meus amigos, se fizerdes o que eu vos mando.
15 No longer do I call you{+} slaves; for the slave doesn't know what his lord does: but I have called you{+} friends; for all things that I heard from my Father, I have made known to you{+}.
15 Já não vos chamo servos, porque o servo não sabe o que faz o seu senhor; mas eu tenho-vos chamado amigos, porque todas as coisas que eu ouvi de meu Pai vos tenho feito conhecer.
16 You{+} did not choose me, but I chose you{+}, and appointed you{+}, that you{+} should go and bear fruit, and [that] your{+} fruit should stay: that whatever you{+} will ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you{+}.
16 Não fostes vós que me escolhestes, mas eu escolhi a vós, e vos designei, para que vades e deis fruto, e para que o vosso fruto permaneça; para que tudo quanto pedirdes ao Pai em meu nome, ele vos dê.
17 These things I command you{+}, that you{+} may love one another.
17 Estas coisas vos mando, que vos ameis uns aos outros.
18 If the world hates you{+}, you{+} know that it has hated me before [it hated] you{+}.
18 Se o mundo vos odeia, sabei que me odiou antes de odiar a vós.
19 If you{+} were of the world, the world would love its own: but because you{+} are not of the world, but I chose you{+} out of the world, therefore the world hates you{+}.
19 Se fôsseis do mundo, o mundo amaria o que era seu, mas, porque não sois do mundo, antes eu vos escolhi do mundo, por isso é que o mundo vos odeia.
20 Remember the word that I said to you{+}, A slave is not greater than his lord. If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you{+}; if they kept my word, they will keep yours{+} also.
20 Lembrai-vos da palavra que eu vos disse: O servo não é maior do que o seu senhor. Se eles perseguiram a mim, também perseguirão a vós; se guardaram a minha palavra, também guardarão a vossa.
21 But all these things they will do to you{+} for my name's sake, because they don't know him who sent me.
21 Mas todas essas coisas vos farão por causa do meu nome, porque eles não conhecem aquele que me enviou.
22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they had not had sin: but now they have no excuse for their sin.
22 Se eu não viera e nem lhes houvera falado, eles não teriam pecado; mas agora não têm capa para o seu pecado.
23 He who hates me hates my Father also.
23 Aquele que me odeia, também odeia ao meu Pai.
24 If I had not done among them the works which none other did, they had not had sin: but now they have both seen and hated both me and my Father.
24 Se entre eles eu não tivesse feito tais obras, as quais nenhum outro homem fez, eles não teriam pecado. Mas agora, tanto viram quanto odiaram, tanto a mim como ao meu Pai.
25 But [this comes to pass], that the word may be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.
25 Mas isso aconteceu para que se cumpra a palavra que está escrita na sua lei: Eles me odiaram sem motivo.
26 When the Comforter has come, whom I will send to you{+} from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness of me:
26 Mas, quando vier o Consolador, que eu vos enviarei da parte do Pai, o Espírito da verdade, que procede do Pai, ele dará testemunho de mim;
27 and you{+} also bear witness, because you{+} have been with me from the beginning.
27 e vós também dareis testemunho, porque estais comigo desde o princípio.
