1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Sinangkaliꞌ, maaꞌ nu gembataꞌ begu pegigetaw mauyaꞌanen gupia dumuduꞌ, gangut niu dun medengeg niu su taluꞌ nu Megbebayaꞌ, puꞌ adun megisegi sinuunan niu di metuud mukaꞌ megawen amu.
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 Puꞌ ndaꞌ ba mesulat di Misulat Taluꞌ nu Megbebayaꞌ, “Mibianan na niu sug lelaat nu Kaunutan.”
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.

5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Puꞌ ndaꞌ ba mesulat di Misulat Taluꞌ nu Megbebayaꞌ,
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.

7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Ndaꞌ ba mesulat di sala sinulat di Misulat Taluꞌ nu Megbebayaꞌ,
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Laak yamu pasiꞌ, pimiliꞌ amu nu Megbebayaꞌ daniin bansa, ki ngag belian nu Tampusan Gadiꞌ si Kristu, ki nasud pinaasen, ki nga tantu piglegetawanen. Tinduꞌ amu niin megukit amu tu nga mekesalebuꞌ penggulaulaan nu Megbebayaꞌ. Inggat amu niin guaꞌ di medelem, adun medelagan namu nu metuud.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Puꞌ dengantu, kanaꞌ amu sakup nu Megbebayaꞌ, laak dagid nandaw, sakup namu niin. Dengantu, ndaꞌ niu mbianay sug lelaaten. Nandaw, lilaatan namu niin.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Naa, yamu nga petailen ku, penengiin ku diniu, kagina kanaꞌ mamu dangen dinig lumbang kini, puꞌ guliug da laak amu dini, naa ndiꞌ niu begay su gayak niu kinilawan megbayaꞌ di ginaa niu. Puꞌ kia, megdaang lelayun dig delendeman niu, adun ndiꞌ amu sia dumunut tu Megbebayaꞌ.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Subay penemalan niu pegbetaday su melegdeng, adun pia pegdenaꞌen amu nu nga ndaꞌ pa pekpetuud, mailala nilan gusay puꞌ gempiai pigbetad niu. Deksuꞌanen ia, penalan nilan su Megbebayaꞌ di gendaw lumusad puliꞌ iin adun pengukumanen su tibaꞌan getaw.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Maꞌantu yamu, puun di kesakup niu tu Kaunutan, pekpetuud amu gusay tu ngag launan meglekaunutan dinig dibabaw benwa, tu tampusan gadiꞌ si Cesar, puꞌ ndaꞌig labaw diniin,

14 mukaꞌ tu nga gubirnadur, su nga pigwekilan nu gadiꞌ kiin meksilut tu nga menggulaula melaat mukaꞌ megenal tu nga menggulaula gempia.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Puꞌ iini mauyaꞌan nu Megbebayaꞌ, pemaagen niu su nga medupang getaw di keglekuti nilan diniu. Mpemaag ilan saꞌ maitaꞌ nilan su mekesuun pigbetad niu.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Kagina biluy namu nu Megbebayaꞌ di melaat gulaula niu, subay mektetubuꞌ amu di ndaꞌidunig lain mekegbayaꞌ diniu. Laak dagid su kebeluy niu di salaꞌ niu, ndiꞌ niu baalay sikaw niu megdupang amu, puꞌ sesuguꞌen amu nu Megbebayaꞌ.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Pegbesaay niu sug launan getaw, petail niu su nga samasakup niu, penemalay niu pegbesaay su Megbebayaꞌ, mukaꞌ pegbesaay niu dadema su tampusan gadiꞌ.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Naa, yamu nu nga sesuguꞌen, subay mekpetuud amu tu gegalen niu mukaꞌ pepenggengeten niui kegbasa niu dinilan. Kanaꞌ mpia pegbesaan laak su nga melilelaaten mukaꞌ mesumayaꞌ gegalen niu, subay su nga mekpeleget dadema diniu.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Deksuꞌanen ia, pepianan amu nu Megbebayaꞌ, saꞌ metau amu mektigel di kegleget diniu kanaꞌ niu tinibabaꞌ. Pektigelen niu su kegleget diniu, puꞌ pegdelendem niu su mauyaꞌan nu Megbebayaꞌ.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Puꞌ gempia bamu enalen saꞌ pektigelen niu laaki kelaneg diniu di tinibabaꞌ niu, puꞌ sabaꞌ nu salaꞌ niu? Ndiꞌ lai. Laak saꞌ pektigelen niu su nga kelaneg diniu nu nga gegalen niu, pia melengas pasiꞌi penggulaulaan niu, naa kiin, pepianan amu dun nu Megbebayaꞌ.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Tinduꞌ amu nu Megbebayaꞌ mektigel di kegleget diniu pia melengas dai penggulaulaan niu. Puꞌ si Kristu, milegenan gumantiꞌ ma diniu mukaꞌ mingumbilin diniu lendasan, adun penunggilingan niu iin.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Iin, ndaꞌ mainsan pekesalaꞌ, ndaꞌ dadema mainsan pegbalus.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Benaꞌ piksudiꞌan nu nga getaw, ndaꞌen ilan suliꞌay peksudiꞌay. Benaꞌ piglegetan nu nga getaw, ndaꞌen ilan suliꞌay pengetuay, segaga pisaligen su mpenggulaulanen tu Megbebayaꞌ, su ndiꞌ meksulamig saꞌ mengukum.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Laak dagid si Kristu, piglegetan iin nu Megbebayaꞌ sabaꞌ nu nga salaꞌ ta. Su nga salaꞌ ta, iwiten ditu kurus pidumanen tug lawasen, adun mpemilang taig lawas ta minatay na, ndaꞌ naig labeten tu salaꞌ. Sinangkaliꞌ pa tanan mektetubuꞌ naita di kekesuun. Puun tu gangelen, miuliꞌan namu.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Dengantu maꞌniin amu nu petubuꞌen paingalan dun karniru midalaꞌ. Laak dagid nandaw minuliꞌ namu di Megingat Karniru, puꞌ iini megingat gupia diniu.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
