1 An Instruction of Asaph. O God, have You cast us off forever? Will Your anger smoke against the sheep of Your pasture?
1 Masquil de Asafe. Ó Deus, por que nos rejeita para sempre? Por que a tua ira fumega contra as ovelhas do teu pasto?
2 Remember Your congregation, which You have purchased of old, the rod of Your inheritance which You have redeemed; this mount Zion in which You have dwelt.
2 Lembra da tua congregação, a qual compraste na antiguidade; da vara da tua herança, que tu redimiste; este monte Sião, onde tu habitaste.
3 Lift up Your feet to the never-ending ruins, even all that the enemy has done wickedly in the sanctuary.
3 Eleva os teus pés às desolações perpétuas; até mesmo todas aquelas que o inimigo fez perversamente no santuário.
4 Your enemies roar in the midst of Your congregation; they set up their own banners for signs.
4 Teus inimigos rugem no meio de tuas congregações; eles exibem suas insígnias por sinais.
5 He is known as one bringing axes on high, on the thick trees.
5 Um homem foi famoso de acordo com os machados que ele havia levantado sobre espessas árvores.
6 And now all its carvings too, they break down with axes and hammers.
6 Mas agora eles quebram sua obra esculpida de uma só vez, com machados e martelos.
7 They have cast fire into Your sanctuary; they have defiled the dwelling-place of Your name to the ground.
7 Eles lançaram fogo em teu santuário, eles corromperam até o chão a morada do teu nome.
8 They said in their hearts, Together let us rage against them; they have burned up all God's meeting-places in the land.
8 Eles disseram em seus corações: Juntos vamos destruí-los; eles queimaram todas as sinagogas de Deus na terra.
9 We did not see our signs; there is no prophet any more; neither is there among us any who knows how long.
9 Não vemos nossos sinais; não há mais nenhum profeta, nem há entre nós o que saiba por quanto tempo.
10 O God, how long shall the enemy speak evil? Shall the enemy blaspheme Your name forever?
10 Ó Deus, por quanto tempo o adversário nos envergonhará? Blasfemará o inimigo o teu nome para sempre?
11 Why do You withdraw Your hand, even Your right hand? Draw it out of Your bosom.
11 Por que retiras a tua mão, até a tua mão direita? Arranca-a do teu peito.
12 For God is my king of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth,
12 Pois Deus é o meu Rei desde a antiguidade, operando a salvação no meio da terra.
13 You divide the sea by Your strength; You break the heads of the sea-monsters in the waters.
13 Tu dividiste o mar pela tua força; tu quebraste as cabeças dos dragões nas águas.
14 You cracked open the heads of leviathan, and gave him to be food to the people living in the wilderness.
14 Tu quebraste em pedaços as cabeças do leviatã, e o deste para ser alimento do povo que habitava no deserto.
15 You divide the fountain and the flood; You dry up mighty rivers.
15 Tu fendeste a fonte e a enchente; tu secaste poderosos rios.
16 The day is Yours, the night also is Yours; You have prepared the light and the sun.
16 O dia é teu, a noite também é tua; tu preparaste a luz e o sol.
17 You have set all the borders of the earth; You have made summer and winter.
17 Tu determinaste todas as fronteiras da terra; fizeste o verão e o inverno.
18 Remember this, the enemy has cursed, O LORD, and the foolish people have blasphemed Your name.
18 Lembra disto: que o inimigo te envergonhou, ó SENHOR, e que os tolos blasfemaram o teu nome.
19 Do not deliver the soul of Your turtle dove to the multitude; forget not the congregation of Your poor forever.
19 Ó não entregues a alma da tua rola à multidão dos perversos; não esqueças para sempre a congregação dos teus pobres.
20 Look to the covenant; for the dark places of the earth are full of the houses of evil.
20 Tem respeito pelo pacto, pois os lugares escuros da terra estão cheios das habitações da crueldade.
21 Oh let not the ill-treated ones return ashamed; let the poor and needy praise Your name.
21 Não deixes que o oprimido retorne envergonhado; que o pobre e o necessitado louvem o teu nome.
22 Arise, O God, plead Your own cause; remember how the foolish man curses You daily.
22 Levanta-te, ó Deus, pleiteia pela tua própria causa; lembra-te de como o tolo te envergonha diariamente.
23 Forget not the voice of Your enemies; the noise of those who rise up against You keeps on increasing.
23 Não esqueças a voz dos teus inimigos; o tumulto daqueles que se levantam contra ti aumenta continuamente.
