1 A man who hardens his neck when reproved shall be suddenly broken, and there will be no healing.
1 Aquele que sendo frequentemente reprovado endurece o seu pescoço, será repentinamente destruído, sem que haja remédio.
2 When the righteous increase, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people sigh.
2 Quando os justos têm autoridade, o povo se regozija, mas quando o perverso domina, o povo pranteia.
3 He who loves wisdom gladdens his father, but a feeder of harlots wastes wealth.
3 Quem quer que ame a sabedoria regozija o seu pai, mas aquele que guarda a companhia de prostitutas gasta os seus bens.
4 A king establishes a land by justice, but he taking bribes tears it down.
4 O rei pelo juízo estabelece a terra, mas aquele que recebe presentes a transtorna.
5 A man who flatters his neighbor spreads a net for his steps.
5 Um homem que lisonjeia seu vizinho estende uma rede para seus pés.
6 A snare is in the transgression of an evil man, but the righteous sing and rejoice.
6 Na transgressão de um homem mau há um laço, mas o justo canta e se regozija.
7 The righteous attends to the cause of the weak; the wicked does not discern knowledge.
7 O justo considera a causa dos pobres, mas o perverso não se importa de saber dela.
8 Scornful men puff against a city, but the wise turn away anger.
8 Os homens escarnecedores trazem uma cidade para dentro de um laço, mas os homens sábios desviam a ira.
9 If a wise man disputes with a foolish man, either he shakes, or laughs, and there is no rest.
9 Se um homem sábio contender com um homem tolo, se ele se irritar ou rir, não há descanso.
10 Men of blood hate the blameless, but the upright seek his soul.
10 O sanguinário odeia o reto, mas o justo busca a sua alma.
11 A fool brings out all of his spirit, but holding back, the wise quiets it.
11 Um tolo profere toda a sua mente, mas um homem sábio a guarda para depois.
12 To a ruler who listens to lying words, all his ministers are wicked.
12 Se um governante ouvir mentiras, todos os seus servos serão perversos.
13 The poor and the injurious man meet together. Jehovah enlightens the eyes of both.
13 O pobre e o homem enganador se encontram; o SENHOR ilumina os olhos de ambos.
14 A king that truly judges the weak shall have his throne established forever.
14 O rei que fielmente julga os pobres, seu trono se estabelecerá para sempre.
15 The rod and reproof give wisdom, but a boy sent off causes shame to his mother.
15 A vara e a repreensão dão sabedoria, mas o filho entregue a si, traz vergonha para a sua mãe.
16 When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increases; but the righteous shall see their fall.
16 Quando os perversos são multiplicados, as transgressões aumentam, mas os justos verão a sua queda.
17 Correct your son, and you will get rest, and it will give delight to your soul.
17 Corrige o teu filho, e ele te dará descanso; sim, ele dará deleites à tua alma.
18 Where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained. But blessed is he, the keeper of the law.
18 Onde não há visão profética, o povo perece; mas aquele que guarda a lei; esse é feliz.
19 A servant is not corrected by words; though he discerns, there is no answer.
19 Um servo não se corrigirá por palavras, porque embora ele entenda, não responderá.
20 Do you see a man hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than of him.
20 Vês tu um homem que é precipitado em suas palavras? Há mais esperança para um tolo do que para ele.
21 He pampering his servant from youth, even afterwards in his days he shall be his successor.
21 Aquele que delicadamente cria seu servo desde criança o terá tornado seu filho.
22 An angry man stirs up contention, and a furious one abounds in transgression.
22 Um homem com ira acirra contendas; e um homem furioso transborda em transgressão.
23 The pride of man brings him low, but the humble of spirit takes hold of honor.
23 O orgulho de um homem o abaterá, mas a honra sustentará o humilde de espírito.
24 He who shares with a thief hates his soul; he hears an oath, but does not tell it .
24 Aquele que é parceiro de um ladrão odeia a sua própria alma; ele ouve maldições, e não o denuncia.
25 The fear of man brings a snare, but he trusting Jehovah is set on high.
25 O temor do homem traz um laço, mas o que puser sua confiança no SENHOR estará a salvo.
26 Many seek the face of the ruler, but the judgment of each man is from Jehovah.
26 Muitos buscam o favor do governante, mas o juízo de cada homem vem do SENHOR.
27 An unjust man is an abomination to the righteous, and the upright of way are an abomination to the wicked.
27 Um homem injusto é uma abominação para os justos, e aquele que é reto no seu caminho é abominação para os perversos.
