¹ Come, let us sing for joy to Yahweh; let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation.

¹ Vinde, manifestemos nossa alegria ao Senhor, aclamemos o Rochedo de nossa salvação;

² Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving; with songs let us shout joyfully to him.

² apresentemo-nos diante dele com louvores, e cantemos-lhe alegres cânticos,

³ For Yahweh is the great God, and the great king over all gods,

³ porque o Senhor é um Deus imenso, um rei que ultrapassa todos os deuses;

⁴ in whose hand are the unexplored places of the earth, and the heights of the mountains are his,

⁴ nas suas mãos estão as profundezas da terra, e os cumes das montanhas lhe pertencem.

⁵ to whom belongs the sea that he made, and the dry land that his hands formed.

⁵ Dele é o mar, ele o criou; assim como a terra firme, obra de suas mãos.

⁶ Come in, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before Yahweh, our maker.

⁶ Vinde, inclinemo-nos em adoração, de joelhos diante do Senhor que nos criou.

⁷ For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture and the sheep of his hand. ⌞Today⌟ if you will hear his voice:

⁷ Ele é nosso Deus; nós somos o povo de que ele é o pastor, as ovelhas que as suas mãos conduzem. Oxalá ouvísseis hoje a sua voz:

⁸ “Do not harden your heart as at Meribah, as in the day of Massah in the wilderness,

⁸ Não vos torneis endurecidos como em Meribá, como no dia de Massá no deserto,

⁹ when your ancestors tried me. They put me to the test, even though they had seen my work.

⁹ onde vossos pais me provocaram e me tentaram, apesar de terem visto as minhas obras.

¹⁰ For forty years I loathed that generation, and said, ‘They are a people whose heart wanders. And my ways they do not know.’

¹⁰ Durante quarenta anos desgostou-me aquela geração, e eu disse: É um povo de coração desviado, que não conhece os meus desígnios.

¹¹ Therefore I swore in my anger, ‘They shall surely not enter into my rest.’ ”

¹¹ Por isso, jurei na minha cólera: Não hão de entrar no lugar do meu repouso.
