1 Come, let us sing for joy to Yahweh; let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation.
1 Venham todos, e louvemos a Deus, o Cantemos com alegria à rocha que nos salva.
2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving; with songs let us shout joyfully to him.
2 Vamos comparecer diante dele com ações de graças, cantando alegres hinos de louvor.
3 For Yahweh is the great God, and the great king over all gods,
3 Pois o Senhor é Deus poderoso; é Rei poderoso acima de todos os deuses.
4 in whose hand are the unexplored places of the earth, and the heights of the mountains are his,
4 Ele reina sobre o mundo inteiro, desde as cavernas mais profundas até os montes mais altos.
5 to whom belongs the sea that he made, and the dry land that his hands formed.
5 O Senhor reina sobre o mar, que ele fez, e também sobre a terra, que ele mesmo formou.
6 Come in, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before Yahweh, our maker.
6 Venham, fiquemos de joelhos e adoremos o Vamos nos ajoelhar diante do nosso Criador.
7 For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture and the sheep of his hand. ⌞Today⌟ if you will hear his voice:
7 Ele é o nosso Deus; nós somos o povo que ele guia, somos o rebanho do qual ele cuida. Escutem hoje o que ele nos diz:
8 “Do not harden your heart as at Meribah, as in the day of Massah in the wilderness,
8 “Não sejam teimosos, como os seus antepassados foram em Meribá, quando estavam em Massá, no deserto.
9 when your ancestors tried me. They put me to the test, even though they had seen my work.
9 Ali eles me puseram à prova e me desafiaram, embora tivessem visto o que eu havia feito por eles.
10 For forty years I loathed that generation, and said, ‘They are a people whose heart wanders. And my ways they do not know.’
10 Durante quarenta anos, aquele povo me irritou. Então eu disse: ‘Que gente de coração perverso! Eles não querem obedecer aos meus mandamentos!’
11 Therefore I swore in my anger, ‘They shall surely not enter into my rest.’ ”
11 Fiquei irado e fiz este juramento: ‘Vocês nunca entrarão na onde eu lhes teria dado descanso.’ ”
