1 Come, let us sing for joy to Yahweh; let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation.
1 Venham, cantemos ao celebremos o Rochedo da nossa salvação.
2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving; with songs let us shout joyfully to him.
2 Saiamos ao seu encontro com ações de graças, vitoriemo-lo com salmos.
3 For Yahweh is the great God, and the great king over all gods,
3 Porque o Senhor é o Deus supremo e o grande Rei acima de todos os deuses.
4 in whose hand are the unexplored places of the earth, and the heights of the mountains are his,
4 Nas suas mãos estão as profundezas da terra, e as alturas dos montes lhe pertencem.
5 to whom belongs the sea that he made, and the dry land that his hands formed.
5 Dele é o mar, pois ele o fez; obra de suas mãos, os continentes.
6 Come in, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before Yahweh, our maker.
6 Venham, adoremos e prostremo-nos; ajoelhemos diante do que nos criou.
7 For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture and the sheep of his hand. ⌞Today⌟ if you will hear his voice:
7 Ele é o nosso Deus, e nós somos povo do seu pasto e ovelhas de sua mão. Hoje, se ouvirem a sua voz,
8 “Do not harden your heart as at Meribah, as in the day of Massah in the wilderness,
8 não endureçam o coração, como em Meribá, como naquele dia em Massá, no deserto,
9 when your ancestors tried me. They put me to the test, even though they had seen my work.
9 quando os pais de vocês me tentaram, pondo-me à prova, apesar de terem visto as minhas obras.
10 For forty years I loathed that generation, and said, ‘They are a people whose heart wanders. And my ways they do not know.’
10 Durante quarenta anos, estive irritado com essa geração e disse: “Este é um povo que gosta de se desviar; eles não conhecem os meus caminhos.”
11 Therefore I swore in my anger, ‘They shall surely not enter into my rest.’ ”
11 Por isso, jurei na minha ira: “Eles não entrarão no meu descanso.”
