1 Come, let us sing for joy to Yahweh; let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation.
1 Venham! Cantemos ao Senhor com alegria! Aclamemos a Rocha da nossa salvação.
2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving; with songs let us shout joyfully to him.
2 Vamos à presença dele com ações de graças; vamos aclamá-lo com cânticos de louvor.
3 For Yahweh is the great God, and the great king over all gods,
3 Pois o Senhor é o grande Deus, o grande Rei acima de todos os deuses.
4 in whose hand are the unexplored places of the earth, and the heights of the mountains are his,
4 Nas suas mãos estão as profundezas da terra, os cumes dos montes lhe pertencem.
5 to whom belongs the sea that he made, and the dry land that his hands formed.
5 Dele também é o mar, pois ele o fez; as suas mãos formaram a terra seca.
6 Come in, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before Yahweh, our maker.
6 Venham! Adoremos prostrados e ajoelhemos diante do Senhor, o nosso Criador;
7 For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture and the sheep of his hand. ⌞Today⌟ if you will hear his voice:
7 pois ele é o nosso Deus, e nós somos o povo do seu pastoreio, o rebanho que ele conduz. Hoje, se vocês ouvirem a sua voz,
8 “Do not harden your heart as at Meribah, as in the day of Massah in the wilderness,
8 não endureçam o coração, como em Meribá, como aquele dia em Massá, no deserto,
9 when your ancestors tried me. They put me to the test, even though they had seen my work.
9 onde os seus antepassados me tentaram, pondo-me à prova, apesar de terem visto o que eu fiz.
10 For forty years I loathed that generation, and said, ‘They are a people whose heart wanders. And my ways they do not know.’
10 Durante quarenta anos fiquei irado contra aquela geração e disse: "Eles são um povo de coração ingrato; não reconheceram os meus caminhos".
11 Therefore I swore in my anger, ‘They shall surely not enter into my rest.’ ”
11 Por isso jurei na minha ira: "Jamais entrarão no meu descanso".
