1 Now when the wall had been built and I had erected the doors and appointed the gatekeepers, singers, and the Levites,
1 Ora, depois que o muro foi edificado, tendo eu assentado as portas, e havendo sido designados os porteiros, os cantores e os levitas,
2 I gave command over Jerusalem to my brother Hanani and Hananiah the commander of the citadel. For he was a faithful man and feared God more than many.
2 pus Hanâni, meu irmão, e Hananias, governador do castelo, sobre Jerusalém; pois ele era homem fiel e temente a Deus, mais do que muitos;
3 I said to them, “Do not open the gates of Jerusalem until the sun is hot. While they are standing guard let them shut and fasten the doors. And appoint guards from the inhabitants of Jerusalem, one at his post and another opposite his house.”
3 e eu lhes disse: Não se abram as portas de Jerusalém até que o sol aqueça; e enquanto os guardas estiverem nos postos se fechem e se tranquem as portas; e designei dentre os moradores de Jerusalém guardas, cada um por seu turno, e cada um diante da sua casa.
4 The city was widespread and large, but the people in it were few and no houses were rebuilt.
4 Ora, a cidade era larga e grande, mas o povo dentro dela era pouco, e ainda as casa não estavam edificadas.
5 Then my God put into my heart to assemble the nobles, the prefects, and the people to be enrolled. I found the book of the genealogy of those who first came back, and I found this written upon it:
5 Então o meu Deus me pôs no coração que ajuntasse os nobres, os magistrados e o povo, para registrar as genealogias. E achei o livro da genealogia dos que tinham subido primeiro e achei escrito nele o seguinte:
6 These are the people of the province who came up from captivity of the exiles whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had carried into exile. They returned to Jerusalem and to Judah, each one to his city.
6 Este são os filhos da província que subiram do cativeiro dentre os exilados, que Nabucodonosor, rei da Babilônia, transportara e que voltaram para Jerusalém e para Judá, cada um para a sua cidade,
7 These came with Zerubbabel, Joshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, Baanah. The number of the men of the people of Israel:
7 os quais vieram com Zorobabel, Jesuá, Neemias, Azarias, Raamias, Naamâni, Mordecai, Bilsã, Misperete, Bigvai, Neum e Baaná. Este é o número dos homens do povo de Israel:
8 the descendants of Parosh, two thousand one hundred and seventy-two.
8 foram os filhos de Parós, dois mil cento e setenta e dois;
9 The descendants of Shephatiah, three hundred and seventy-two.
9 os filhos de Sefatias, trezentos e setenta e dois;
10 The descendants of Arah, six hundred and fifty-two.
10 os filhos de Ará, seiscentos e cinqüenta e dois;
11 The descendants of Pahath-Moab, of the descendants of Jeshua and Joab, two thousand eight hundred and eighteen.
11 os filhos de Paate-Moabe, dos filhos de Jesuá e de Joabe, dois mil oitocentos e dezoito;
12 The descendants of Elam, one thousand two hundred and fifty-four.
12 os filhos de Elão, mil duzentos e cinqüenta e quatro;
13 The descendants of Zattu, eight hundred and forty-five.

14 The descendants of Zaccai, seven hundred and sixty.

15 The descendants of Binnui, six hundred and forty-eight.

16 The descendants of Bebai, six hundred and twenty-eight.

17 The descendants of Azgad, two thousand three hundred and twenty-two.

18 The descendants of Adonikam, six hundred and sixty-seven.

20 The descendants of Adin, six hundred and fifty-five.

21 The descendants of Ater, namely of Hezekiah, ninety-eight.
21 os filhos de Ater, de Ezequias, noventa e oito;
22 The descendants of Hashum, three hundred and twenty-eight.

23 The descendants of Bezai, three hundred and twenty-four.

24 The descendants of Hariph, one hundred and twelve.

39 The priests: The descendants of Jedaiah, of the house of Jeshua, nine hundred and seventy-three.

40 The descendants of Immer, one thousand and fifty-two.
40 os filhos de Imer, mil e cinqüenta e dois;
41 The descendants of Pashhur, one thousand two hundred and forty-seven.

59 os filhos de Sefatias, os filhos de Hatil, os filhos de Paquerete-Hazebaim e os filhos de Amom.
60 All the temple servants and the descendants of Solomon’s servants were three hundred and ninety-two.
60 Todos os netinins e os filhos dos servos de Salomão, eram trezentos e noventa e dois.
61 These were the ones who came up from Tel-melah, Tel-harsha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer, but they were not able to prove their ancestral houses or their descent, whether they were from Israel:
61 Estes foram os que subiram de Tel-Mela, Tel-Harsa, Querube, Adom, e Imer; porém não puderam provar que as suas casas paternas e as sua linhagem eram de Israel:
62 the descendants of Delaiah, the descendants of Tobiah, the descendants of Nekoda, six hundred and forty-two.
62 os filhos de Dalaías, os filhos de Tobias, os filhos de Necoda, seiscentos e quarenta e dois.
63 And from the priests: the descendants of Hobaiah, the descendants of Hakkoz, the descendants of Barzillai (who had taken as a wife from the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite and was called by their name).
63 E dos sacerdotes: os filhos de Hobaías, os filhos Hacoz, os filhos de Barzilai, que tomara por mulher uma das filhas Barzilai, o gileadita, e que foi chamado do seu nome.
64 These sought their record among those enrolled in the genealogy, but it was not found there, so they were excluded as unclean from the priesthood.
64 Estes buscaram o seu registro entre os arrolados nos registros genealógicos, mas não foi encontrado; pelo que, tidos por imundos, foram excluídos do sacerdócio.
65 So the governor said to them that they could not eat the most holy food until a priest could come with Urim and Thummim.
65 E o governador lhes disse que não comesse das coisas sagradas, até que se levantasse um sacerdote com Urim e Tumim.
66 All of the assembly together was forty-two thousand three hundred and sixty,
66 Toda esta congregação junta somava quarenta e dois mil trezentos e sessenta;
67 besides their servants and female slaves—these were seven thousand three hundred and thirty-seven. And the male and female singers were two hundred and forty-five,
67 afora os seus servos e as suas servas, que foram sete mil trezentos e trinta e sete; e tinham duzentos e quarenta e cinco cantores e cantoras.

68 Os seus cavalos foram setecentos e trinta e seis; os seus mulos, duzentos e quarenta e cinco;
69 there were four hundred and thirty-five camels and six thousand seven hundred and twenty male donkeys.
69 os seus camelos, quatrocentos e trinta e cinco; e os seus jumentos, seis mil setecentos e vinte.
70 Now some from the heads of the ⌞families⌟ gave to the work. The governor gave to the storehouse one thousand darics of gold, fifty basins, and five hundred and thirty priestly tunics.
70 Ora, alguns dos cabeças das casas paternas contribuíram para a obra. O governador deu para a tesouraria mil dários de ouro, cinqüenta bacias, e quinhentas e trinta vestes sacerdotais.
71 Now some of the heads of the ⌞families⌟ gave to the storehouse of the work twenty thousand gold darics and two thousand two hundred silver minas.
71 E alguns dos cabeças das casas paternas deram para a tesouraria da obra vinte mil dáricos de ouro, e duas mil e duzentas minas de prata.
72 And what the rest of the people gave was twenty thousand darics of gold, and two thousand silver minas, and sixty-seven priestly tunics.
72 O que o resto do povo deu foram vinte mil dáricos de ouro, duas mil minas de prata, e sessenta e sete vestes sacerdotais.
73 So the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, some of the people, the temple servants, and all Israel settled in their cities. When the seventh month came, the ⌞Israelites⌟ were in their cities.
73 Os sacerdotes, os levitas, os porteiros, os cantores, alguns dentre o povo, os netinins e todo o Israel habitaram nas suas cidades. Quando chegou o sétimo mês, já se achavam os filhos de Israel nas suas cidades.
