Levítico 19

1 Then Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
1 O S enhor também disse a Moisés:
2 “Speak to all the community of the ⌞Israelites⌟, and say to them, ‘You must be holy, because I, Yahweh your God, am holy.
2 “Dê as seguintes instruções a toda a comunidade de Israel. Sejam santos, pois eu, o S enhor , seu Deus, sou santo.
3 Each of you must revere your mother and your father, and you must keep my Sabbaths; I am Yahweh your God.
3 “Mostrem respeito, cada um de vocês, por sua mãe e por seu pai; guardem também meus sábados. Eu sou o S enhor , seu Deus.
4 You must not turn to idols, and you must not make for yourselves gods of cast metal; I am Yahweh your God.
4 “Não depositem sua confiança em ídolos nem façam para si imagens de metal representando deuses. Eu sou o S enhor , seu Deus.
5 “ ‘And when you sacrifice a sacrifice of fellowship offerings to Yahweh, you must sacrifice it for your acceptance.
5 “Quando sacrificarem uma oferta de paz ao S enhor , apresentem-na de forma apropriada, para que sejam aceitos.
6 It must be eaten on the day of your sacrifice and the next day; but the remainder must be burned up in the fire by the third day.
6 Comam o sacrifício no mesmo dia em que o oferecerem, ou no dia seguinte. O que restar até o terceiro dia será completamente queimado.
7 And if it is indeed eaten on the third day, it is unclean meat; it shall not be regarded as accepted.
7 Se algo do sacrifício for comido no terceiro dia, estará contaminado e não será aceito.
8 And the one who eats it shall bear his guilt, because he has profaned Yahweh’s holiness, and that person shall be cut off from his people.
8 Quem o comer no terceiro dia será castigado, pois contaminou aquilo que é santo ao S enhor , e será eliminado do meio do povo.
9 “ ‘And at your reaping the harvest of your land you must not finish reaping the edge of your field, and you must not glean the remnants of your harvest.
9 “Quando fizerem a colheita de sua terra, não colham as espigas nos cantos dos campos nem apanhem aquilo que os ceifeiros deixarem cair.
10 And you must not glean your vineyard, and you must not gather your vineyard’s fallen grapes; you must leave them behind for the needy and for the alien; I am Yahweh your God.
10 O mesmo se aplica à colheita da uva. Não cortem até o último cacho de cada videira nem apanhem as uvas que caírem no chão. Deixem-nas para os pobres e estrangeiros que vivem entre vocês. Eu sou o S enhor , seu Deus.
11 “ ‘You shall not steal, and you shall not deceive, and you shall not lie ⌞to one another⌟;
11 “Não roubem. “Não mintam nem enganem uns aos outros.
12 and you shall not swear ⌞falsely⌟ in my name, and so one of you profane the name of your God; I am Yahweh.
12 “Não desonrem o nome do seu Deus, usando-o para jurar falsamente. Eu sou o S enhor .
13 “ ‘You shall not exploit your neighbor, and you shall not rob him; a hired worker’s wage you shall not ⌞withhold⌟ overnight until morning.
13 “Não explorem nem roubem o seu próximo. “Não fiquem até o dia seguinte com o pagamento de seus empregados.
14 You shall not curse the deaf, and you shall not put a stumbling block ⌞before⌟ a blind person, but you shall revere your God; I am Yahweh.
14 “Não insultem o surdo nem façam o cego tropeçar. Temam o seu Deus. Eu sou o S enhor .
15 “ ‘You shall not do injustice in judgment; ⌞you shall not show partiality to the powerless⌟; you shall not give preference ⌞to the powerful⌟; you shall judge your fellow citizen with justice.
15 “Não distorçam a justiça em questões legais, favorecendo os pobres ou tomando partido dos ricos e poderosos. Julguem sempre com imparcialidade.
16 You shall not go about with slander among your people; ⌞you shall not endanger your neighbor’s life⌟; I am Yahweh.
16 “Não vivam como difamadores no meio do povo. “Não fiquem de braços cruzados quando a vida do seu próximo correr perigo. Eu sou o S
17 “ ‘You shall not hate your brother in your heart; you shall surely rebuke your fellow citizen, so that you do not incur sin ⌞along with⌟ him.
17 “Não alimentem ódio no coração contra algum de seus parentes. Confrontem sem rodeios aqueles que errarem, para não serem responsabilizados pelo pecado deles.
18 You shall not seek vengeance, and you shall not harbor a grudge against ⌞your fellow citizens⌟; and you shall love your neighbor like yourself; I am Yahweh.
18 “Não procurem se vingar nem guardem rancor de alguém do seu povo, mas cada um ame o seu próximo como a si mesmo. Eu sou o S enhor .
19 “ ‘You must keep my statutes: as for your domestic animals, you shall not cause two differing kinds to breed; as for your field, you shall not sow two differing kinds of seed; and, a garment of two differing kinds of woven material should not be worn on you.
19 “Obedeçam a todos os meus decretos. “Não cruzem dois animais de espécies diferentes. Não plantem em seu campo duas espécies de sementes. Não usem roupas tecidas com dois tipos de pano.
20 “ ‘And when a man lies with a woman and there is an emission of semen and she is a female slave promised to a man, but she indeed has not been ransomed or freedom has not be given to her, there shall be an obligation to compensate; they shall not be put to death, because she has not been freed.
20 “Se um homem tiver relações sexuais com uma escrava cuja liberdade não foi comprada, mas que está prometida para ser mulher de outro, indenizará totalmente o senhor da escrava. Uma vez que ela não é livre, nem o homem nem a mulher serão mortos.
21 And he shall bring his guilt offering to Yahweh at the tent of assembly’s entrance: a ram for a guilt offering.
21 O homem levará um carneiro como oferta pela culpa e o apresentará ao S enhor à entrada da tenda do encontro.
22 And the priest shall make atonement for him ⌞before⌟ Yahweh with the ram of the guilt offering for his sin that he ⌞committed⌟, and so his sin that he ⌞committed⌟ shall be forgiven him.
22 O sacerdote fará expiação por ele com o carneiro da oferta pela culpa, e seu pecado será perdoado.
23 “ ‘And when you have come into the land and you plant any tree for food, ⌞you shall regard its fruit as unharvestable⌟; for three years it shall be forbidden for you; it shall not be eaten.
23 “Quando entrarem na terra e plantarem árvores frutíferas de todo tipo, não colham os frutos nos três primeiros anos. Considerem esses frutos proibidos e não os comam.
24 But in the fourth year all its fruit shall be holy, offerings of praise for Yahweh.
24 No quarto ano, consagrem toda a colheita ao S enhor como uma celebração de louvor.
25 And in the fifth year you shall eat its fruit to increase its yield for you; I am Yahweh your God.
25 Por fim, no quinto ano, vocês poderão comer os frutos. Se procederem desse modo, sua colheita aumentará. Eu sou o S enhor , seu Deus.
26 “ ‘You must not eat anything with the blood; you shall not practice divination, nor shall you interpret signs.
26 “Não comam carne em que ainda houver sangue. “Não pratiquem adivinhação nem feitiçaria.
27 You shall not round off the corner hair of your head, and you shall not trim the corner of your beard.
27 “Não cortem o cabelo dos lados da cabeça nem raspem a barba rente à pele.
28 And you shall not make a slash in your body for a dead person, nor shall you make on yourselves a tattoo’s mark; I am Yahweh.
28 “Quando lamentarem a morte de alguém, não façam cortes no corpo nem marcas na pele. Eu sou o S enhor .
29 “ ‘You shall not profane your daughter by making her a prostitute, ⌞lest the land be prostituted and the land fill up with depravity⌟.
29 “Ninguém contamine sua filha tornando-a uma prostituta, pois a terra ficaria cheia de prostituição e perversão.
30 You shall keep my Sabbaths, and you shall revere my sanctuary; I am Yahweh.
30 “Guardem meus sábados e tratem meu santuário com reverência. Eu sou o S enhor .
31 “ ‘You shall not turn to the mediums and to the soothsayers; you shall not seek them to become unclean with them; I am Yahweh your God.
31 “Não se contaminem procurando médiuns e os que consultam os espíritos dos mortos. Eu sou o S enhor , seu Deus.
32 “ ‘⌞Before⌟ old age you shall get up, and you shall show respect for an old person; and you shall revere your God; I am Yahweh.
32 “Levantem-se na presença dos idosos e honrem os anciãos. Temam o seu Deus. Eu sou o S enhor .
33 “ ‘And when an alien dwells with you in your land, you shall not oppress him.
33 “Não se aproveitem dos estrangeiros que vivem entre vocês na terra.
34 The alien who is dwelling with you shall be like a native among you, and you shall love him like yourself, because you were aliens in the land of Egypt; I am Yahweh your God.
34 Tratem-nos como se fossem israelitas de nascimento e amem-nos como a si mesmos. Lembrem-se de que vocês eram estrangeiros quando moravam na terra do Egito. Eu sou o S enhor , seu Deus.
35 “ ‘You shall not commit injustice in regulation, in measurement, in weight, or volume.
35 “Não usem medidas desonestas ao medirem comprimento, peso ou volume.
36 You must have honest balances, honest weights, an honest ephah, and an honest hin; I am Yahweh your God who brought you out from the land of Egypt.
36 Suas balanças e seus pesos devem ser exatos, assim como suas vasilhas para medir produtos secos ou líquidos. Eu sou o S enhor , seu Deus, que os tirou da terra do Egito.
37 “ ‘Thus you shall keep all my statutes and all my regulations, and you shall do them; I am Yahweh.’ ”
37 “Obedeçam a todos os meus decretos e a todos os meus estatutos pondo-os em prática. Eu sou o S enhor ”.
