1 The Praise of David himself.I will extol you, O God, my king. And I will bless your name, in this time and forever and ever.
1 Bendito seja o Senhor , rocha minha, que treina as minhas mãos para a batalha e os dedos, para a guerra.
2 Throughout every single day, I will bless you. And I will praise your name, in this time and forever and ever.
2 Ele é a minha misericórdia e a minha fortaleza, meu alto refúgio e meu libertador, meu escudo, aquele em quem confio e quem me submete o meu povo.
3 The Lord is great and exceedingly praiseworthy. And there is no end to his greatness.
3 Senhor , que é o homem para que dele tomes conhecimento? E o filho do homem, para que o estimes?
4 Generation after generation will praise your works, and they will declare your power.
4 O ser humano é como um sopro; os seus dias são como a sombra que passa.
5 They will tell of the magnificent glory of your sanctity. And they will discourse of your wonders.
5 Abaixa, Senhor , os teus céus e desce; toca os montes, para que fumeguem.
6 And they will talk about the virtue of your terrible acts. And they will describe your greatness.
6 Manda relâmpagos e dispersa os meus inimigos; arremessa as tuas flechas para fazê-los fugir.
7 They will shout about the memory of your abundant sweetness. And they will exult in your justice.
7 Estende a mão lá do alto; livra-me e salva-me das muitas águas e do poder de estranhos,
8 The Lord is compassionate and merciful, patient and full of mercy.
8 cuja boca profere mentiras, e cuja mão direita é a mão direita da falsidade.
9 The Lord is sweet to all things, and his compassion is upon all his works.
9 A ti, ó Deus, entoarei um cântico novo; na lira de dez cordas, te cantarei louvores.
10 O Lord, may all your works confess to you, and let your holy ones bless you.
10 É ele quem dá aos reis a vitória; quem livra o seu servo Davi da espada maligna.
11 They will speak of the glory of your kingdom, and they will declare your power,
11 Livra-me e salva-me do poder de estranhos, cuja boca profere mentiras, e cuja mão direita é a mão direita da falsidade.
12 so as to make known to the sons of men your power and the glory of your magnificent kingdom.
12 Que os nossos filhos sejam, na sua mocidade, como plantas viçosas, e que as nossas filhas sejam como colunas, esculpidas para um palácio.
13 Your kingdom is a kingdom for all ages, and your dominion is with all, from generation to generation. The Lord is faithful in all his words and holy in all his works.
13 Que os nossos celeiros transbordem, cheios de todo tipo de provisões. Que os nossos rebanhos produzam a milhares e a dezenas de milhares, em nossos campos.
14 The Lord lifts up all who have fallen down, and he sets upright all who have been thrown down.
14 Que o nosso gado seja fértil, e as vacas não percam as suas crias. Não haja gritos de lamento em nossas praças.
15 O Lord, all eyes hope in you, and you provide their food in due time.
