1 ஸர்வ்வாந் த்³வேஷாந் ஸர்வ்வாம்ʼஸ்²ச ச²லாந் காபட்யாநீர்ஷ்யா: ஸமஸ்தக்³லாநிகதா²ஸ்²ச தூ³ரீக்ருʼத்ய
1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 யுஷ்மாபி⁴: பரித்ராணாய வ்ருʼத்³தி⁴ப்ராப்த்யர்த²ம்ʼ நவஜாதஸி²ஸு²பி⁴ரிவ ப்ரக்ருʼதம்ʼ வாக்³து³க்³த⁴ம்ʼ பிபாஸ்யதாம்ʼ|
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 யத: ப்ரபு⁴ ர்மது⁴ர ஏதஸ்யாஸ்வாத³ம்ʼ யூயம்ʼ ப்ராப்தவந்த:|
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 அபரம்ʼ மாநுஷைரவஜ்ஞாதஸ்ய கிந்த்வீஸ்²வரேணாபி⁴ருசிதஸ்ய ப³ஹுமூல்யஸ்ய ஜீவத்ப்ரஸ்தரஸ்யேவ தஸ்ய ப்ரபோ⁴: ஸந்நிதி⁴ம் ஆக³தா

5 யூயமபி ஜீவத்ப்ரஸ்தரா இவ நிசீயமாநா ஆத்மிகமந்தி³ரம்ʼ க்²ரீஷ்டேந யீஸு²நா சேஸ்²வரதோஷகாணாம் ஆத்மிகப³லீநாம்ʼ தா³நார்த²ம்ʼ பவித்ரோ யாஜகவர்கோ³ ப⁴வத²|
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 யத: ஸா²ஸ்த்ரே லிகி²தமாஸ்தே, யதா², பஸ்²ய பாஷாண ஏகோ (அ)ஸ்தி ஸீயோநி ஸ்தா²பிதோ மயா| முக்²யகோணஸ்ய யோக்³ய: ஸ வ்ருʼதஸ்²சாதீவ மூல்யவாந்| யோ ஜநோ விஸ்²வஸேத் தஸ்மிந் ஸ லஜ்ஜாம்ʼ ந க³மிஷ்யதி|
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 விஸ்²வாஸிநாம்ʼ யுஷ்மாகமேவ ஸமீபே ஸ மூல்யவாந் ப⁴வதி கிந்த்வவிஸ்²வாஸிநாம்ʼ க்ருʼதே நிசேத்ருʼபி⁴ரவஜ்ஞாத: ஸ பாஷாண: கோணஸ்ய பி⁴த்திமூலம்ʼ பூ⁴த்வா பா³தா⁴ஜநக: பாஷாண: ஸ்க²லநகாரகஸ்²ச ஸை²லோ ஜாத:|
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 தே சாவிஸ்²வாஸாத்³ வாக்யேந ஸ்க²லந்தி ஸ்க²லநே ச நியுக்தா: ஸந்தி|
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 கிந்து யூயம்ʼ யேநாந்த⁴காரமத்⁴யாத் ஸ்வகீயாஸ்²சர்ய்யதீ³ப்திமத்⁴யம் ஆஹூதாஸ்தஸ்ய கு³ணாந் ப்ரகாஸ²யிதும் அபி⁴ருசிதோ வம்ʼஸோ² ராஜகீயோ யாஜகவர்க³: பவித்ரா ஜாதிரதி⁴கர்த்தவ்யா: ப்ரஜாஸ்²ச ஜாதா:|
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 பூர்வ்வம்ʼ யூயம்ʼ தஸ்ய ப்ரஜா நாப⁴வத கிந்த்விதா³நீம் ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ப்ரஜா ஆத்⁴வே| பூர்வ்வம் அநநுகம்பிதா அப⁴வத கிந்த்விதா³நீம் அநுகம்பிதா ஆத்⁴வே|
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 ஹே ப்ரியதமா:, யூயம்ʼ ப்ரவாஸிநோ விதே³ஸி²நஸ்²ச லோகா இவ மநஸ: ப்ராதிகூல்யேந யோதி⁴ப்⁴ய: ஸா²ரீரிகஸுகா²பி⁴லாஷேப்⁴யோ நிவர்த்தத்⁴வம் இத்யஹம்ʼ விநயே|
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 தே³வபூஜகாநாம்ʼ மத்⁴யே யுஷ்மாகம் ஆசார ஏவம் உத்தமோ ப⁴வது யதா² தே யுஷ்மாந் து³ஷ்கர்ம்மகாரிலோகாநிவ புந ர்ந நிந்த³ந்த: க்ருʼபாத்³ருʼஷ்டிதி³நே ஸ்வசக்ஷுர்கோ³சரீயஸத்க்ரியாப்⁴ய ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ப்ரஸ²ம்ʼஸாம்ʼ குர்ய்யு:|
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 ததோ ஹேதோ ர்யூயம்ʼ ப்ரபோ⁴ரநுரோதா⁴த் மாநவஸ்ருʼஷ்டாநாம்ʼ கர்த்ருʼத்வபதா³நாம்ʼ வஸீ²ப⁴வத விஸே²ஷதோ பூ⁴பாலஸ்ய யத: ஸ ஸ்²ரேஷ்ட²:,

14 தே³ஸா²த்⁴யக்ஷாணாஞ்ச யதஸ்தே து³ஷ்கர்ம்மகாரிணாம்ʼ த³ண்ட³தா³நார்த²ம்ʼ ஸத்கர்ம்மகாரிணாம்ʼ ப்ரஸ²ம்ʼஸார்த²ஞ்ச தேந ப்ரேரிதா:|
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 இத்த²ம்ʼ நிர்ப்³போ³த⁴மாநுஷாணாம் அஜ்ஞாநத்வம்ʼ யத் ஸதா³சாரிபி⁴ ர்யுஷ்மாபி⁴ ர்நிருத்தரீக்ரியதே தத்³ ஈஸ்²வரஸ்யாபி⁴மதம்ʼ|
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 யூயம்ʼ ஸ்வாதீ⁴நா இவாசரத ததா²பி து³ஷ்டதாயா வேஷஸ்வரூபாம்ʼ ஸ்வாதீ⁴நதாம்ʼ தா⁴ரயந்த இவ நஹி கிந்த்வீஸ்²வரஸ்ய தா³ஸா இவ|
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 ஸர்வ்வாந் ஸமாத்³ரியத்⁴வம்ʼ ப்⁴ராத்ருʼவர்கே³ ப்ரீயத்⁴வம் ஈஸ்²வராத்³ பி³பீ⁴த பூ⁴பாலம்ʼ ஸம்மந்யத்⁴வம்ʼ|
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 ஹே தா³ஸா: யூயம்ʼ ஸம்பூர்ணாத³ரேண ப்ரபூ⁴நாம்ʼ வஸ்²யா ப⁴வத கேவலம்ʼ ப⁴த்³ராணாம்ʼ த³யாலூநாஞ்ச நஹி கிந்த்வந்ருʼஜூநாமபி|
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 யதோ (அ)ந்யாயேந து³:க²போ⁴க³கால ஈஸ்²வரசிந்தயா யத் க்லேஸ²ஸஹநம்ʼ ததே³வ ப்ரியம்ʼ|
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 பாபம்ʼ க்ருʼத்வா யுஷ்மாகம்ʼ சபேடாகா⁴தஸஹநேந கா ப்ரஸ²ம்ʼஸா? கிந்து ஸதா³சாரம்ʼ க்ருʼத்வா யுஷ்மாகம்ʼ யத்³ து³:க²ஸஹநம்ʼ ததே³வேஸ்²வரஸ்ய ப்ரியம்ʼ|
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 தத³ர்த²மேவ யூயம் ஆஹூதா யத: க்²ரீஷ்டோ(அ)பி யுஷ்மந்நிமித்தம்ʼ து³:க²ம்ʼ பு⁴க்த்வா யூயம்ʼ யத் தஸ்ய பத³சிஹ்நை ர்வ்ரஜேத தத³ர்த²ம்ʼ த்³ருʼஷ்டாந்தமேகம்ʼ த³ர்ஸி²தவாந்|
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 ஸ கிமபி பாபம்ʼ ந க்ருʼதவாந் தஸ்ய வத³நே காபி ச²லஸ்ய கதா² நாஸீத்|
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 நிந்தி³தோ (அ)பி ஸந் ஸ ப்ரதிநிந்தா³ம்ʼ ந க்ருʼதவாந் து³:க²ம்ʼ ஸஹமாநோ (அ)பி ந ப⁴ர்த்ஸிதவாந் கிந்து யதா²ர்த²விசாரயிது: ஸமீபே ஸ்வம்ʼ ஸமர்பிதவாந்|
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 வயம்ʼ யத் பாபேப்⁴யோ நிவ்ருʼத்ய த⁴ர்ம்மார்த²ம்ʼ ஜீவாமஸ்தத³ர்த²ம்ʼ ஸ ஸ்வஸ²ரீரேணாஸ்மாகம்ʼ பாபாநி க்ருஸ² ஊட⁴வாந் தஸ்ய ப்ரஹாரை ர்யூயம்ʼ ஸ்வஸ்தா² அப⁴வத|
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 யத: பூர்வ்வம்ʼ யூயம்ʼ ப்⁴ரமணகாரிமேஷா இவாத்⁴வம்ʼ கிந்த்வது⁴நா யுஷ்மாகம் ஆத்மநாம்ʼ பாலகஸ்யாத்⁴யக்ஷஸ்ய ச ஸமீபம்ʼ ப்ரத்யாவர்த்திதா:|
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
