1 අනන්තරං යීශුඃ පුනරපි දෘෂ්ටාන්තේන තාන් අවාදීත්,
1 Jesus tornou a falar-lhes por meio de parábolas:
2 ස්වර්ගීයරාජ්යම් ඒතාදෘශස්ය නෘපතේඃ සමං, යෝ නිජ පුත්රං විවාහයන් සර්ව්වාන් නිමන්ත්රිතාන් ආනේතුං දාසේයාන් ප්රහිතවාන්,
2 The kingdom of the heavens has become like a king who made a wedding feast for his son,
3 කින්තු තේ සමාගන්තුං නේෂ්ටවන්තඃ|
3 and sent his bondmen to call the persons invited to the wedding feast, and they would not come.
4 තතෝ රාජා පුනරපි දාසානන්යාන් ඉත්යුක්ත්වා ප්රේෂයාමාස, නිමන්ත්රිතාන් වදත, පශ්යත, මම භේජ්යමාසාදිතමාස්තේ, නිජව්ටෂාදිපුෂ්ටජන්තූන් මාරයිත්වා සර්ව්වං ඛාද්යද්රව්යමාසාදිතවාන්, යූයං විවාහමාගච්ඡත|
4 Again he sent other bondmen, saying, Say to the persons invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatted beasts are killed, and all things ready; come to the wedding feast.
5 තථපි තේ තුච්ඡීකෘත්ය කේචිත් නිජක්ෂේත්රං කේචිද් වාණිජ්යං ප්රති ස්වස්වමාර්ගේණ චලිතවන්තඃ|
5 But they made light of it, and went, one to his own land, and another to his commerce.
6 අන්යේ ලෝකාස්තස්ය දාසේයාන් ධෘත්වා දෞරාත්ම්යං ව්යවහෘත්ය තානවධිෂුඃ|
6 And the rest, laying hold of his bondmen, ill-treated and slew {them}.
7 අනන්තරං ස නෘපතිස්තාං වාර්ත්තාං ශ්රුත්වා ක්රුධ්යන් සෛන්යානි ප්රහිත්ය තාන් ඝාතකාන් හත්වා තේෂාං නගරං දාහයාමාස|
7 And {when} the king {heard of it he} was wroth, and having sent his forces, destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
8 තතඃ ස නිජදාසේයාන් බභාෂේ, විවාහීයං භෝජ්යමාසාදිතමාස්තේ, කින්තු නිමන්ත්රිතා ජනා අයෝග්යාඃ|
8 Then he says to his bondmen, The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy;
9 තස්මාද් යූයං රාජමාර්ගං ගත්වා යාවතෝ මනුජාන් පශ්යත, තාවතඒව විවාහීයභෝජ්යාය නිමන්ත්රයත|
9 go therefore into the thoroughfares of the highways, and as many as ye shall find invite to the wedding feast.
10 තදා තේ දාසේයා රාජමාර්ගං ගත්වා භද්රාන් අභද්රාන් වා යාවතෝ ජනාන් දදෘශුඃ, තාවතඒව සංගෘහ්යානයන්; තතෝ(අ)භ්යාගතමනුජෛ ර්විවාහගෘහම් අපූර්ය්යත|
10 And those bondmen went out into the highways, and brought together all as many as they found, both evil and good; and the wedding feast was furnished with guests.
11 තදානීං ස රාජා සර්ව්වානභ්යාගතාන් ද්රෂ්ටුම් අභ්යන්තරමාගතවාන්; තදා තත්ර විවාහීයවසනහීනමේකං ජනං වීක්ෂ්ය තං ජගාද්,
11 And the king, having gone in to see the guests, beheld there a man not clothed with a wedding garment.
12 හේ මිත්ර,ත්වං විවාහීයවසනං විනා කථමත්ර ප්රවිෂ්ටවාන්? තේන ස නිරුත්තරෝ බභූව|
12 And he says to him, {My} friend, how camest thou in here not having on a wedding garment? But he was speechless.
13 තදා රාජා නිජානුචරාන් අවදත්, ඒතස්ය කරචරණාන් බද්ධා යත්ර රෝදනං දන්තෛර්දන්තඝර්ෂණඤ්ච භවති, තත්ර වහිර්භූතතමිස්රේ තං නික්ෂිපත|
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him feet and hands, and take him away, and cast him out into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
14 ඉත්ථං බහව ආහූතා අල්පේ මනෝභිමතාඃ|
14 For many are called ones, but few chosen ones.
15 අනන්තරං ඵිරූශිනඃ ප්රගත්ය යථා සංලාපේන තම් උන්මාථේ පාතයේයුස්තථා මන්ත්රයිත්වා

16 හේරෝදීයමනුජෛඃ සාකං නිජශිෂ්යගණේන තං ප්රති කථයාමාසුඃ, හේ ගුරෝ, භවාන් සත්යඃ සත්යමීශ්වරීයමාර්ගමුපදිශති, කමපි මානුෂං නානුරුධ්යතේ, කමපි නාපේක්ෂතේ ච, තද් වයං ජානීමඃ|
16 And they send out to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thou art true and teachest the way of God in truth, and carest not for any one, for thou regardest not men's person;
17 අතඃ කෛසරභූපාය කරෝ(අ)ස්මාකං දාතව්යෝ න වා? අත්ර භවතා කිං බුධ්යතේ? තද් අස්මාන් වදතු|
17 tell us therefore what thou thinkest: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
18 තතෝ යීශුස්තේෂාං ඛලතාං විඥාය කථිතවාන්, රේ කපටිනඃ යුයං කුතෝ මාං පරික්ෂධ්වේ?
18 But Jesus, knowing their wickedness, said, Why tempt ye me, hypocrites?
19 තත්කරදානස්ය මුද්රාං මාං දර්ශයත| තදානීං තෛස්තස්ය සමීපං මුද්රාචතුර්ථභාග ආනීතේ
19 Shew me the money of the tribute. And they presented to him a denarius.
20 ස තාන් පප්රච්ඡ, අත්ර කස්යේයං මූර්ත්ති ර්නාම චාස්තේ? තේ ජගදුඃ, කෛසරභූපස්ය|
20 And he says to them, Whose {is} this image and superscription?
21 තතඃ ස උක්තවාන, කෛසරස්ය යත් තත් කෛසරාය දත්ත, ඊශ්වරස්ය යත් තද් ඊශ්වරාය දත්ත|
21 They say to him, Caesar's. Then he says to them, Pay then what is Caesar's to Caesar, and what is God's to God.
22 ඉති වාක්යං නිශම්ය තේ විස්මයං විඥාය තං විහාය චලිතවන්තඃ|
22 And when they heard {him}, they wondered, and left him, and went away.
23 තස්මින්නහනි සිදූකිනෝ(අ)ර්ථාත් ශ්මශානාත් නෝත්ථාස්යන්තීති වාක්යං යේ වදන්ති, තේ යීශේाරන්තිකම් ආගත්ය පප්රච්ඡුඃ,

24 හේ ගුරෝ, කශ්චින්මනුජශ්චේත් නිඃසන්තානඃ සන් ප්රාණාන් ත්යජති, තර්හි තස්ය භ්රාතා තස්ය ජායාං ව්යුහ්ය භ්රාතුඃ සන්තානම් උත්පාදයිෂ්යතීති මූසා ආදිෂ්ටවාන්|
24 saying, Teacher, Moses said, If any one die, not having children, his brother shall marry his wife and shall raise up seed to his brother.
25 කින්ත්වස්මාකමත්ර කේ(අ)පි ජනාඃ සප්තසහෝදරා ආසන්, තේෂාං ජ්යේෂ්ඨ ඒකාං කන්යාං ව්යවහාත්, අපරං ප්රාණත්යාගකාලේ ස්වයං නිඃසන්තානඃ සන් තාං ස්ත්රියං ස්වභ්රාතරි සමර්පිතවාන්,
25 Now there were with us seven brethren; and the first having married died, and not having seed, left his wife to his brother.
26 තතෝ ද්විතීයාදිසප්තමාන්තාශ්ච තථෛව චක්රුඃ|
26 In like manner also the second and the third, unto the seven.
27 ශේෂේ සාපී නාරී මමාර|
27 And last of all the woman also died.
28 මෘතානාම් උත්ථානසමයේ තේෂාං සප්තානාං මධ්යේ සා නාරී කස්ය භාර්ය්යා භවිෂ්යති? යස්මාත් සර්ව්වඒව තාං ව්යවහන්|
28 In the resurrection therefore of which of the seven shall she be wife, for all had her?
29 තතෝ යීශුඃ ප්රත්යවාදීත්, යූයං ධර්ම්මපුස්තකම් ඊශ්වරීයාං ශක්තිඤ්ච න විඥාය භ්රාන්තිමන්තඃ|
29 And Jesus answering said to them, Ye err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God.
30 උත්ථානප්රාප්තා ලෝකා න විවහන්ති, න ච වාචා දීයන්තේ, කින්ත්වීශ්වරස්ය ස්වර්ගස්ථදූතානාං සදෘශා භවන්ති|
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as angels of God in heaven.
31 අපරං මෘතානාමුත්ථානමධි යුෂ්මාන් ප්රතීයමීශ්වරෝක්තිඃ,
31 Quanto à ressurreição dos mortos, não lestes o que Deus vos disse:
32 "අහමිබ්රාහීම ඊශ්වර ඉස්හාක ඊශ්වරෝ යාකූබ ඊශ්වර" ඉති කිං යුෂ්මාභි ර්නාපාඨි? කින්ත්වීශ්වරෝ ජීවතාම් ඊශ්වර:, ස මෘතානාමීශ්වරෝ නහි|
32 Eu sou o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaac e o Deus de Jacó {Ex 3,6}? Ora, ele não é Deus dos mortos, mas Deus dos vivos.
33 ඉති ශ්රුත්වා සර්ව්වේ ලෝකාස්තස්යෝපදේශාද් විස්මයං ගතාඃ|
33 E, ouvindo esta doutrina, as turbas se enchiam de grande admiração.
34 අනන්තරං සිදූකිනාම් නිරුත්තරත්වවාර්තාං නිශම්ය ඵිරූශින ඒකත්ර මිලිතවන්තඃ,
34 Sabendo os fariseus que Jesus reduzira ao silêncio os saduceus, reuniram-se
35 තේෂාමේකෝ ව්යවස්ථාපකෝ යීශුං පරීක්ෂිතුං පපච්ඡ,
35 e um deles, doutor da lei, fez-lhe esta pergunta para pô-lo à prova:
36 හේ ගුරෝ ව්යවස්ථාශාස්ත්රමධ්යේ කාඥා ශ්රේෂ්ඨා?
36 Mestre, qual é o maior mandamento da lei?
37 තතෝ යීශුරුවාච, ත්වං සර්ව්වාන්තඃකරණෛඃ සර්ව්වප්රාණෛඃ සර්ව්වචිත්තෛශ්ච සාකං ප්රභෞ පරමේශ්වරේ ප්රීයස්ව,
37 Respondeu Jesus: Amarás o Senhor teu Deus de todo teu coração, de toda tua alma e de todo teu espírito {Dt 6,5}.
38 ඒෂා ප්රථමමහාඥා| තස්යාඃ සදෘශී ද්විතීයාඥෛෂා,
38 Este é o maior e o primeiro mandamento.
39 තව සමීපවාසිනි ස්වාත්මනීව ප්රේම කුරු|
39 E o segundo, semelhante a este, é: Amarás teu próximo como a ti mesmo {Lv 19,18}.
40 අනයෝ ර්ද්වයෝරාඥයෝඃ කෘත්ස්නව්යවස්ථායා භවිෂ්යද්වක්තෘග්රන්ථස්ය ච භාරස්තිෂ්ඨති|
40 Nesses dois mandamentos se resumem toda a lei e os profetas.
41 අනන්තරං ඵිරූශිනාම් ඒකත්ර ස්ථිතිකාලේ යීශුස්තාන් පප්රච්ඡ,
41 Como os fariseus se agrupassem, Jesus interrogou-os:
42 ඛ්රීෂ්ටමධි යුෂ්මාකං කීදෘග්බෝධෝ ජායතේ? ස කස්ය සන්තානඃ? තතස්තේ ප්රත්යවදන්, දායූදඃ සන්තානඃ|
42 Que pensais vós de Cristo? De quem é filho? Responderam: De Davi!
43 තදා ස උක්තවාන්, තර්හි දායූද් කථම් ආත්මාධිෂ්ඨානේන තං ප්රභුං වදති ?
43 Como então, prosseguiu Jesus, Davi, falando sob inspiração do Espírito, chama-o Senhor, dizendo:
44 යථා මම ප්රභුමිදං වාක්යමවදත් පරමේශ්වරඃ| තවාරීන් පාදපීඨං තේ යාවන්නහි කරෝම්යහං| තාවත් කාලං මදීයේ ත්වං දක්ෂපාර්ශ්ව උපාවිශ| අතෝ යදි දායූද් තං ප්රභුං වදති, ර්තිහ ස කථං තස්ය සන්තානෝ භවති?
44 O Senhor disse a meu Senhor: Senta-te à minha direita, até que eu ponha teus inimigos por escabelo dos teus pés {Sl 109,1}?
45 තදානීං තේෂාං කෝපි තද්වාක්යස්ය කිමප්යුත්තරං දාතුං නාශක්නෝත්;
45 Se, pois, Davi o chama Senhor, como é ele seu filho?
46 තද්දිනමාරභ්ය තං කිමපි වාක්යං ප්රෂ්ටුං කස්යාපි සාහසෝ නාභවත්|
46 Ninguém pôde responder-lhe nada. E, depois daquele dia, ninguém mais ousou interrogá-lo.
