¹ For the law having a shadow of the coming good things -- not the very image of the matters, every year, by the same sacrifices that they offer continually, is never able to make perfect those coming near,

¹ Porque a lei, tendo a sombra das coisas boas que virão, e não a imagem exata das coisas, não pode nunca, com os mesmos sacrifícios que eram continuamente oferecidos de ano em ano, aperfeiçoar os que se achegam.

² since, would they not have ceased to be offered, because of those serving having no more conscience of sins, having once been purified?

² Se ainda o fosse, não teriam deixado de ser oferecidos? Pois os adoradores, tendo sido uma vez purificados, nunca mais teriam consciência de pecado.

³ but in those sacrifices is a remembrance of sins every year,

³ Mas, nesses sacrifícios, a cada ano se recordam os pecados.

⁴ for it is impossible for blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.

⁴ Porque não é possível que o sangue de touros e de bodes tire pecados.

⁵ Therefore, coming into the world, he said, 'Sacrifice and offering You did not will, and a body You did prepare for me,

⁶ in burnt-offerings, and concerning sin-offerings, You did not delight,

⁷ then I said, Lo, I come, (in a volume of the book it has been written concerning me,) to do, O God, Your will;'

⁷ Então, eu disse: Eis-me aqui (na cabeça do rolo está escrito sobre mim) para fazer a tua vontade, ó Deus.

⁸ saying above -- 'Sacrifice, and offering, and burnt-offerings, and concerning sin-offering You did not will, nor delight in,' -- which according to the law are offered --

⁸ Acima, quando disse: Sacrifício e ofertas, e ofertas queimadas e ofertas pelo pecado não quiseste, nem neles tiveste prazer, os quais são oferecidos pela lei.

⁹ then he said, 'Lo, I come to do, O God, Your will;' he does take away the first that the second he may establish;

⁹ Então, ele disse: Eis-me aqui para fazer a tua vontade, ó Deus. Ele tira o primeiro, para que possa estabelecer o segundo.

¹⁰ in the which will we are having been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once,

¹⁰ Por cuja vontade somos santificados pela oferta do corpo de Jesus Cristo, feita de uma vez por todas.

¹¹ and every priest, indeed, has stood daily serving, and the same sacrifices many times offering, that are never able to take away sins.

¹¹ E cada sacerdote se apresenta diariamente, ministrando e oferecendo muitas vezes os mesmos sacrifícios, que nunca podem tirar os pecados.

¹² And He, for sin one sacrifice having offered -- to the end, did sit down on the right hand of God, --

¹² Mas este homem, havendo oferecido um único sacrifício pelos pecados para sempre, assentou-se à direita de Deus.

¹³ as to the rest, expecting till He may place his enemies as his footstool,

¹³ Deste momento em diante encontra-se à espera, até que os seus inimigos sejam postos por escabelo de seus pés.

¹⁴ for by one offering he has perfected to the end those sanctified;

¹⁴ Porque com uma só oferta ele aperfeiçoou para sempre os que estão santificados;

¹⁵ and testify to us also does the Holy Spirit, for after that He has said before,

¹⁵ e disto o Espírito Santo também nos é por testemunha, porque depois de haver dito:

¹⁶ 'This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord, giving My laws on their hearts, and upon their minds I will write them,'

¹⁶ Este é o pacto que farei com eles depois daqueles dias, diz o Senhor: Colocarei as minhas leis em seus corações, e em suas mentes as escreverei;

¹⁷ and 'their sins and their lawlessness I will remember no more;'

¹⁷ e de seus pecados e iniquidades não mais me lembrarei.

¹⁸ and where forgiveness of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

¹⁸ Ora, onde há remissão destes, não há mais oferta pelo pecado.

¹⁹ Having, therefore, brethren, boldness for the entrance into the holy places, in the blood of Jesus,

¹⁹ Tendo, pois, irmãos, ousadia para entrarmos no santíssimo lugar, pelo sangue de Jesus,

²⁰ which way he did initiate for us -- new and living, through the vail, that is, his flesh --

²⁰ por um caminho novo e vivo, que ele consagrou para nós, através do véu, isto é, da sua carne,

²¹ and a high priest over the house of God,

²¹ e tendo um sumo sacerdote sobre a casa de Deus;

²² may we draw near with a true heart, in full assurance of faith, having the hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and having the body bathed with pure water;

²² cheguemo-nos com coração verdadeiro, em inteira certeza de fé; tendo o coração purificado da má consciência, e o corpo lavado com água pura.

²³ may we hold fast the unwavering profession of the hope, (for faithful is He who did promise),

²³ Fiquemos, pois, firmes em nossa profissão de fé, sem nos abalar; (porque fiel é aquele que prometeu);

²⁴ and may we consider one another to provoke to love and to good works,

²⁴ e consideremo-nos uns aos outros, para nos estimularmos ao amor e às boas obras.

²⁵ not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as a custom of certain is, but exhorting, and so much the more as you see the day coming near.

²⁵ Não abandonando a nossa assembleia, como é costume de alguns, antes exortando-nos uns aos outros; e tanto mais, à medida que vedes que aquele dia se aproxima.

²⁶ For we -- willfully sinning after the receiving the full knowledge of the truth -- no more for sins does there remain a sacrifice,

²⁶ Porque se pecamos voluntariamente, depois de termos recebido o conhecimento da verdade, já não resta mais sacrifício pelos pecados.

²⁷ but a certain fearful looking for of judgment, and fiery zeal, about to devour the opposers;

²⁷ Porém uma expectação terrível de juízo, e uma indignação ardente que há de devorar os adversários.

²⁸ any one who did set at nought a law of Moses, apart from mercies, by two or three witnesses, does die,

²⁸ Aquele que desprezou a lei de Moisés, morreu sem misericórdia, sob duas ou três testemunhas.

²⁹ of how much sorer punishment shall he be counted worthy who the Son of God did trample on, and the blood of the covenant did count a common thing, in which he was sanctified, and to the Spirit of the grace did despite?

²⁹ Com quão maior castigo pensais vós que será julgado merecedor aquele que pisar o Filho de Deus, e tiver por profano o sangue do pacto com que foi santificado, e ultrajar ao Espírito da graça?

³⁰ for we have known Him who is saying, 'Vengeance is Mine, I will recompense, says the Lord;' and again, 'The Lord shall judge His people;' --

³⁰ Porque conhecemos aquele que disse: A vingança pertence a mim, eu retribuirei, diz o Senhor. E outra vez: O Senhor julgará o seu povo.

³¹ fearful is the falling into the hands of a living God.

³¹ Coisa terrível é cair nas mãos do Deus vivo.

³² And call to your remembrance the former days, in which, having been enlightened, you did endure much conflict of sufferings,

³² Lembrai-vos, porém, dos dias passados, nos quais, depois de serdes iluminados, suportastes grande combate de aflições.

³³ partly both with reproaches and tribulations being made spectacles, and partly having become partners of those so living,

³³ Em parte, sendo feitos alvos tanto de desonra como de aflições, e também por vos tornardes companheiros dos que assim foram tratados.

³⁴ for also with my bonds you sympathized, and the robbery of your goods with joy you did receive, knowing that you have in yourselves a better substance in the heavens, and an enduring one.

³⁴ Pois vos compadecestes de mim em minhas prisões, mas também com alegria aceitastes a espoliação dos vossos bens, sabendo que vós tendes no céu uma possessão melhor e duradoura.

³⁵ You may not cast away, then, your boldness, which has great recompense of reward,

³⁵ Não lanceis fora a vossa confiança, a qual tem uma grande recompensa.

³⁶ for of patience you have need, that the will of God having done, you may receive the promise,

³⁶ Porque necessitais de paciência, para que, depois de haverdes feito a vontade de Deus, alcanceis a promessa.

³⁷ for yet a very little, He who is coming will come, and will not tarry;

³⁷ Porque por mais um pouco de tempo, aquele que há de vir virá, e não tardará.

³⁸ and 'the righteous by faith shall live,' and 'if he may draw back, My soul has no pleasure in him,'

³⁸ Ora, o justo viverá pela fé; mas se algum homem recuar, a minha alma não terá prazer nele.

³⁹ and we are not of those drawing back to destruction, but of those believing to a preserving of soul.

³⁹ Nós, porém, não somos daqueles que recuam para a perdição, mas daqueles que creem para a salvação da alma.
