¹ O Yahweh, our Lord! How majestic is thy Name, in all the earth, Who hast set thy splendour upon the heavens.

¹ Ó Senhor , Senhor nosso, quão admirável é o teu nome em toda a terra, pois puseste a tua glória sobre os céus!

² Out of the mouth of children and sucklings, hast thou laid a foundation of strength,because of thine adversaries, to make foe and avenger be still.

² Da boca das crianças e dos que mamam tu suscitaste força, por causa dos teus adversários, para fazeres calar o inimigo e vingativo.

³ When I view thy heavens, the work, of thy fingers, moon and stars, which thou hast established,

³ Quando vejo os teus céus, obra dos teus dedos, a lua e as estrelas que preparaste;

⁴ What was weak man, that thou shouldst make mention of him? or the son of the earthborn, that thou shouldst set him in charge?

⁴ que é o homem mortal para que te lembres dele? E o filho do homem, para que o visites?

⁵ That thou shouldst make him little less than messengers of God, with glory and honour, shouldst crown him?

⁵ Contudo, pouco menor o fizeste do que os anjos e de glória e de honra o coroaste.

⁶ Shouldst give him dominion over the works of thy hands,All things, shouldst have put under his feet:

⁶ Fazes com que ele tenha domínio sobre as obras das tuas mãos; tudo puseste debaixo de seus pés:

⁷ Sheep and oxen, all of them,yea even the beasts of the field;

⁷ todas as ovelhas e bois, assim como os animais do campo;

⁸ The bird of the heavens, and the fishes of the sea, the passer-by on the paths of the seas?

⁸ as aves dos céus, e os peixes do mar, e tudo o que passa pelas veredas dos mares.

⁹ O Yahweh, our Lord! How majestic is thy Name, in all the earth.
