1 In thee, O Yahweh, have I sought refuge, May I not be ashamed unto times age-abiding:
1 Em ti, Senhor , confio; nunca seja eu confundido.
2 In thy righteousness, wilt thou rescue me, and deliver me, Incline unto me thine ear, and save me:
2 Livra-me na tua justiça e faze que eu escape; inclina os teus ouvidos para mim e salva-me.
3 Be thou unto me, a Rock to dwell in, a Place of Security, To save me, For, my mountain crag and my stronghold, thou art.
3 Sê tu a minha habitação forte, à qual possa recorrer continuamente; deste um mandamento que me salva, pois tu és a minha rocha e a minha fortaleza.
4 Oh my God, deliver me, From the hand of the lawless one, From the clutch of the perverse and ruthless one;
4 Livra-me, meu Deus, das mãos do ímpio, das mãos do homem injusto e cruel,
5 For, thou, art my hope, My Lord, Yahweh, My confidence from my youthful days:
5 pois tu és a minha esperança, Senhor Deus; tu és a minha confiança desde a minha mocidade.
6 Upon thee, have I stayed myself from birth, Thou art he that severed me, from the body of my mother, Of thee, shall be my praisecontinually.
6 Por ti tenho sido sustentado desde o ventre; tu és aquele que me tiraste do ventre de minha mãe; o meu louvor será para ti constantemente.
7 A very wonder, have I been unto many, Seeing that, thou, hast been my strong refuge,
7 Sou como um prodígio para muitos, mas tu és o meu refúgio forte.
8 My mouth shall be filled with, thy praise, All the day, with thy splendour.
8 Encha-se a minha boca do teu louvor e da tua glória todo o dia.
9 Do not cast me off in the time of old age, When my vigour faileth, do not forsake me;
9 Não me rejeites no tempo da velhice; não me desampares, quando se for acabando a minha força.
10 For mine enemies have spoken of me, And, they who watch for my life, have taken counsel together;
10 Porque os meus inimigos falam contra mim, e os que espiam a minha alma consultam juntos,
11 Saying, God, hath forsaken him, Pursue and take him, For there is none to rescue.
11 dizendo: Deus o desamparou; persegui- o e prendei-o, pois não há quem o livre.
12 O God, be not far from me, O my God, to help me, make haste!
12 Ó Deus, não te alongues de mim; meu Deus, apressa-te em ajudar-me.
13 Let them be ashamedbe consumed, Who are assailing my life,Let them be covered with reproach and confusion, Who are seeking my hurt.
13 Sejam confundidos e consumidos os que são adversários da minha alma; cubram-se de opróbrio e de confusão aqueles que procuram o meu mal.
14 But, I, continually will hope, And will add to all thy praise;
14 Mas eu esperarei continuamente e te louvarei cada vez mais.
15 My month, shall relate thy righteousness, All the day, thy deliverance, For I know not the numbers.
15 A minha boca relatará as bênçãos da tua justiça e da tua salvação todo o dia, posto que não conheça o seu número.
16 I will enter into the mighty doings of My LordYahweh, I will make mention of thy righteousnessthine alone.
16 Sairei na força do Senhor Deus; farei menção da tua justiça, e só dela.
17 O God, thou hast taught me from my youthful days, And, hitherto, have I been wont to tell of thy wonders;
17 Ensinaste-me, ó Deus, desde a minha mocidade; e até aqui tenho anunciado as tuas maravilhas.
18 Even now, therefore, that I am old and grayheaded, O God, do not forsake me,Until I tell of thine arm unto a generation, Unto every one that is to come, thy might;
18 Agora, também, quando estou velho e de cabelos brancos, não me desampares, ó Deus, até que tenha anunciado a tua força a esta geração, e o teu poder a todos os vindouros.
19 And, as for thy righteousness, O God, up on high, Wherein thou hast wrought great things, O God! who is like unto thee?
19 Também a tua justiça, ó Deus, está muito alta, pois fizeste grandes coisas; ó Deus, quem é semelhante a ti?
20 Thou who hast let us see many distresses and misfortunes, Wilt gain bring us to life, And, out of the resounding depths of the earth, wilt again raise us up;
20 Tu, que me tens feito ver muitos males e angústias, me darás ainda a vida e me tirarás dos abismos da terra.
21 Thou wilt increase my greatness, And, on every side, wilt comfort me.
21 Aumentarás a minha grandeza e de novo me consolarás.
22 I also, will praise thee by the aid of a harp, Thy faithfulness, O my God,I will make music unto thee with a lyre, Thou holy one of Israel;
22 Também eu te louvarei com o saltério, bem como à tua verdade, ó meu Deus; cantar-te-ei com a harpa, ó Santo de Israel.
23 My lips shall make a joyful noise, When I make music unto thee, And my soul which thou hast ransomed;
23 Os meus lábios exultarão quando eu te cantar, assim como a minha alma que tu remiste.
24 Even my tongue, all the day, shall softly utter thy righteousness, For they have turned palefor they have blushed, Who were seeking my hurt.
24 A minha língua falará da tua justiça todo o dia; pois estão confundidos e envergonhados aqueles que procuram o meu mal.
