1 Show me favour, O God, Show me favour, For, in thee, hath my soul sought refuge,And, in the shadow of thy wings, will I seek refuge, Until the storm of ruin pass by.
1 Tem misericórdia de mim, ó Deus, tem misericórdia! Em ti me refugio. À sombra de tuas asas me esconderei, até que passe o perigo.
2 I will cry unto God Most High, Unto GOD, who accomplisheth on my behalf:
2 Clamo ao Deus Altíssimo, ao Deus que cumpre seus propósitos para mim.
3 He will send out of heaven, that he may save me, He who is panting for me, hath reproached. Selah. God will send out his lovingkindness and his faithfulness.
3 Dos céus ele enviará socorro para me salvar e envergonhará os que me perseguem. Interlúdio Meu Deus enviará seu amor e sua fidelidade!
4 My soul, is in the midst of lions, I lie down amidst flames, As for the sons of men, Their teeth, are spear and arrows, And, their tongue, is a sharp sword.
4 Estou cercado de leões ferozes, ansiosos para devorar suas presas humanas. Seus dentes são como lanças e flechas, e sua língua corta como espada afiada.
5 Be exalted Above the Heavens, O God, Above all the earth, thy glory!
5 Sê exaltado, ó Deus, acima dos mais altos céus; que a tua glória brilhe sobre toda a terra!
6 A net, did they fix for my steps, My soul was bowed down,They digged before me a pit, They fell into the midst thereof! Selah.
6 Meus inimigos me prepararam uma armadilha; estou exausto de tanta angústia. Abriram uma cova profunda em meu caminho, mas eles próprios caíram nela. Interlúdio
7 Fixed is my heart, O God, Fixed is my heart, I will sing, and touch the strings.
7 Meu coração está firme em ti, ó Deus, meu coração está firme; por isso canto louvores a ti!
8 Awake, mine honour, Awake, harp and lyre, I will awaken the dawn;
8 Desperte, minha alma! Despertem, lira e harpa! Quero acordar o amanhecer com a minha canção.
9 I will thank thee, among the peoples, O My Lord, I will praise thee in song, among the races of men.
9 Eu te darei graças, Senhor, no meio dos povos; cantarei louvores a ti entre as nações.
10 For, great, unto the heavens, is thy lovingkindness, And, unto the skies, thy faithfulness.
10 Pois o teu amor se eleva até os céus; a tua fidelidade alcança as nuvens.
11 Be exalted Above the heavens, O God, Above all the earth, thy glory!
