1 O Yahweh, do not, in thine anger, correct me, nor, in thy wrath, chastise me;
1 Salmo de Davi, para trazer à lembrança. Ó SENHOR, não me repreenda na tua ira, nem me castigue no teu ardente descontentamento.
2 For, thine arrows, have sunk down into me, and thy hand, presseth heavily upon me.
2 Pois tuas flechas se cravam rapidamente em mim, e a tua mão me pressiona dolorosamente.
3 There is no soundness in my flesh, By reason of thine indignation, There is no peace in my bones, By reason of my sin;
3 Não há solidez na minha carne por causa da tua ira; nem há nenhum descanso em meus ossos por causa do meu pecado.
4 For, mine iniquities, have passed over my head, Like a heavy burden, they are too heavy for me:
4 Pois as minhas iniquidades subiram para a minha cabeça; como um fardo pesado elas são pesadas demais para mim.
5 My wounds are of bad odourthey have festered, by reason of my folly:
5 Minhas feridas fedem e são corruptas por causa da minha tolice.
6 I am bent, I am bowed down very low. All the day, have I gloomily walked;
6 Estou atribulado; estou grandemente curvado; vou pranteando o dia inteiro.
7 For, my loins, are filled with inflammation, and there is no soundness in my flesh:
7 Pois os meus lombos estão cheios de uma repugnante doença, e não há solidez em minha carne.
8 I am benumbed and crushed exceedingly,I have cried aloud because of the groaning of my heart.
8 Eu sou fraco e dolorosamente quebrado; eu tenho rugido por causa do desassossego do meu coração.
9 O My Lord! before thee, is all my longing, and, my sighing, from thee, hath not been hid:
9 Senhor, todo o meu desejo está diante de ti, e o meu gemido não é escondido de ti.
10 My heart, fluttereth, my strength hath forsaken me, and, as for the light of mine eyes, even they, are not with me:
10 o meu coração está agitado, minha força me falha; quanto à luz dos meus olhos, ela também se foi de mim.
11 My lovers, and my friends, from before my stroke, stand aloof,and, my near ones, far away, do stand:
11 Os que me amam e meus amigos permanecem indiferentes em relação à minha dor; e os meus parentes ficam de longe.
12 Yea they who are seeking my life, have laid snares, and they who are asking my harm, have threatened engulfing ruin, And, deceitful thingsall day long, do they mutter.
12 Também aqueles que buscam pela minha vida deitam laços para mim; e aqueles que buscam me ferir falam coisas maliciosas, e imaginam enganos o dia todo.
13 But, I, as one deaf, will not hear,and as one dumb, who will not open his mouth:
13 Mas eu, como um homem surdo, não ouvi; e eu fui como um homem mudo que não abre a sua boca.
14 Thus have I become as a man who cannot hear, in whose mouth are no arguments:
14 Assim, fui como um homem que não ouve, e em cuja boca não há reprovações.
15 Because, for thee, O Yahweh, have I waited, Thou, wilt answer, O Adonay, my God!
15 Porquanto em ti, ó SENHOR, eu espero; tu me ouvirás, ó SENHOR meu Deus.
16 For I said, Lest they rejoice over me! When my feet were tottering, against me, have they magnified themselves:
16 Pois eu disse: Ouve-me, para que de outra forma não regozijassem sobre mim; quando meu pé escorrega, eles se magnificam contra mim.
17 For, I, to halt, am ready, and, my pain, is before me continually;
17 Porque estou pronto para parar, e a minha tristeza está continuamente diante de mim.
18 For, mine iniquity, will I declare, I shall be anxious because of my sin;
18 Porquanto eu declararei minha iniquidade; me lamentarei pelo meu pecado.
19 And, my foes, are alivehave become strong,and multiplied are they who hate me for false cause:
19 Mas meus inimigos são vívidos, e são fortes; e aqueles que me odeiam injustamente se multiplicam.
20 Even they who are repaying evil for good, accuse me because I pursue the good.
20 Também aqueles que fazem o mal pelo bem são meus adversários; porque eu sigo a coisa que é boa.
21 Do not forsake me, O Yahweh, My God! be not far from me:
21 Não me abandones, ó SENHOR; ó meu Deus, não fiques longe de mim.
22 Make haste to help me, My Lord, my deliverance!
22 Apressa-te em me socorrer, ó Senhor, minha salvação.
