¹ Declareth the transgression of the lawless one, within my heart, There is, no dread of God, before his eyes;

¹ Ao mestre de canto. De Davi, servo do Senhor. A iniqüidade fala ao ímpio no seu coração; não existe o temor a Deus ante os seus olhos,

² For he flattereth himself .

² porque ele se gloria de que sua culpa não será descoberta nem detestada por ninguém.

³ The words of his mouth, are iniquity and deceit, he hath left off to show discretion by doing well:

³ Suas palavras são más e enganosas; renunciou a proceder sabiamente e a fazer o bem.

⁴ Iniquity, deviseth he upon his bed,he taketh his stand in a way, not good, Wrong, doth he not abhor!

⁴ Em seu leito ele medita o crime, anda pelo mau caminho, não detesta o mal.

⁵ O Yahweh! in the heavens, is thy lovingkindness, Thy faithfulness, as far as the fleecy clouds:

⁵ Senhor, vossa bondade chega até os céus, vossa fidelidade se eleva até as nuvens.

⁶ Thy righteousness, is like mighty mountains, and, thy just decrees, are a great resounding deep,Man and beast, thou savest, O Yahweh!

⁶ Vossa justiça é semelhante às montanhas de Deus, vossos juízos são profundos como o mar. Vós protegeis, Senhor, os homens como os animais.

⁷ How precious thy lovingkindness, O God,Therefore, the sons of men, under the shadow of thy wings, seek refuge:

⁷ Como é preciosa a vossa bondade, ó Deus! À sombra de vossas asas se refugiam os filhos dos homens.

⁸ They abundantly relish the fatness of thy house,And out of the full stream of thine own pleasures, thou givest them to drink.

⁸ Eles se saciam da abundância de vossa casa, e lhes dais de beber das torrentes de vossas delícias,

⁹ For, with thee, is the fountain of life, In thy light, we see light.

⁹ porque em vós está a fonte da vida, e é na vossa luz que vemos a luz.

¹⁰ Prolong thy lovingkindness unto them who know thee,and thy righteousness, to the upright in heart.

¹⁰ Continuai a dar vossa bondade aos que vos honram, e a vossa justiça aos retos de coração.

¹¹ Let not the foot of pride reach me, nor, the hand of the lawless, scare me away.

¹¹ Não me calque o pé do orgulhoso, não me faça fugir a mão do pecador.

¹² There did the workers of iniquity fall,thrust down and not able to rise!

¹² Eis que caíram os fautores da iniqüidade, foram prostrados para não mais se erguer.
