1 Rescue me, O Yahweh, from the men of mischief, From the men of violence, wilt thou preserve me:
1 Ao Músico-chefe, Salmo de Davi. Livra-me, ó SENHOR, do homem mau; preserva-me do homem violento.
2 Who have devised mischiefs in their , Every day, do they stir up wars:
2 Que imaginam danos em seu coração; continuamente estão reunidos para a guerra.
3 They have sharpened their tongue like a serpent,The poison of the asp, is under their lips. Selah.
3 Eles afiaram suas línguas como uma serpente; o veneno das víboras está debaixo dos seus lábios. Selá.
4 Keep me, O Yahweh, from the hands of the lawless one, From the man of violence, wilt thou preserve me,who have devised, to thrust at my steps:
4 Guarda-me, ó SENHOR, das mãos do perverso; preserva-me do homem violento; que se propôs a prejudicar as minhas idas.
5 The proud have hidden a snare for me, and, cords, have they spread as a net beside the track, Snares, have they set for me. Selah.
5 Os orgulhosos esconderam um laço para mim, e cordas; eles esticaram uma rede ao longo do caminho; prepararam armadilhas para mim. Selá.
6 I have said unto Yahweh, My GOD, thou art! Give ear, O Yahweh, unto the voice of my supplications.
6 Eu disse ao SENHOR: Tu és meu Deus; ouve a voz das minhas súplicas, ó SENHOR.
7 O Yahweh, My Lord, my saving strength, thou hast screened my head in the day of battle.
7 Ó DEUS, o Senhor, a força da minha salvação, tu cobriste a minha cabeça no dia da batalha.
8 Do not grant, O Yahweh, the desires of the lawless one, his device, do not promote, They would exalt themselves. Selah.
8 Não concedas os desejos dos perversos, ó SENHOR; não promovas seus artifícios perversos; para que eles não se exaltem. Selá.
9 As for the head of them who surround me, Let the mischief of their lips cover them:
9 Quanto à cabeça daqueles que me cercam, cubra-os o dano dos seus próprios lábios.
10 May there be dropped on them live coals,Into the fire, may they be let fall, into watery pits they shall not rise.
10 Caiam sobre eles brasas ardentes; sejam lançados ao fogo, em covas profundas, para que eles não se levantem novamente.
11 As for the slanderer, let him not be established in the earth,As for the man of wrongful violence, let misfortune hunt him with thrust upon thrust.
11 Não permitas que um maldoso orador se estabeleça na terra; o mal caçará o homem violento para derrubá-lo.
12 I know that Yahweh will execute, the right of the oppressed one, the vindication of the needy.
12 Eu sei que o SENHOR manterá a causa do aflito, e o direito do pobre.
13 Surely, the righteous, shall give thanks to thy Name, the upright shall dwell in thy presence.
13 Certamente o justo dará graças ao teu nome; o reto habitará na tua presença.
