1 Rescue me, O Yahweh, from the men of mischief, From the men of violence, wilt thou preserve me:
1 Livra-me, ó Senhor, dos homens maus; guarda-me dos homens violentos,
2 Who have devised mischiefs in their , Every day, do they stir up wars:
2 os quais maquinam maldades no coração; estão sempre projetando guerras.
3 They have sharpened their tongue like a serpent,The poison of the asp, is under their lips. Selah.
3 Aguçaram as línguas como a serpente; peçonha de áspides está debaixo dos seus lábios.
4 Keep me, O Yahweh, from the hands of the lawless one, From the man of violence, wilt thou preserve me,who have devised, to thrust at my steps:
4 Guarda-me, ó Senhor, das mãos dos ímpios; preserva-me dos homens violentos, os quais planejaram transtornar os meus passos.
5 The proud have hidden a snare for me, and, cords, have they spread as a net beside the track, Snares, have they set for me. Selah.
5 Os soberbos armaram-me laços e cordas; estenderam uma rede à beira do caminho; puseram-me armadilhas.
6 I have said unto Yahweh, My GOD, thou art! Give ear, O Yahweh, unto the voice of my supplications.
6 Eu disse, ao Senhor: Tu és o meu Deus; dá ouvidos, ó Senhor, à voz das minhas súplicas.
7 O Yahweh, My Lord, my saving strength, thou hast screened my head in the day of battle.
7 Ó Senhor, meu Senhor, meu forte libertador, tu cobriste a minha cabeça no dia da batalha.
8 Do not grant, O Yahweh, the desires of the lawless one, his device, do not promote, They would exalt themselves. Selah.
8 Não concedas, ó Senhor, aos ímpios os seus desejos; não deixes ir por diante o seu mau propósito.
9 As for the head of them who surround me, Let the mischief of their lips cover them:
9 Não levantem a cabeça os que me cercam; cubra-os a maldade dos seus lábios.
10 May there be dropped on them live coals,Into the fire, may they be let fall, into watery pits they shall not rise.
10 Caiam sobre eles brasas vivas; sejam lançados em covas profundas, para que não se tornem a levantar!
11 As for the slanderer, let him not be established in the earth,As for the man of wrongful violence, let misfortune hunt him with thrust upon thrust.
11 Não se estabeleça na terra o caluniador; o mal persiga o homem violento com golpe sobre golpe.
12 I know that Yahweh will execute, the right of the oppressed one, the vindication of the needy.
12 Sei que o Senhor manterá a causa do aflito, e o direito do necessitado.
13 Surely, the righteous, shall give thanks to thy Name, the upright shall dwell in thy presence.
13 Decerto os justos louvarão o teu nome; os retos habitarão na tua presença.
