Rotherham Version (ROTH) vs BKJ
1 Wine is, a scoffer, and strong drink, a brawler, every one therefore who erreth therein, is unwise.
1 O vinho é um zombador, a bebida forte é colérica, e quem quer que seja enganado desse modo não é sábio.
2 The growl as of a young lion, is the dread inspired by a king, he that provoketh him, endangereth his own life.
2 O temor do rei é como o rugido de um leão, quem quer que o provoque à raiva peca contra a sua própria alma.
3 Honour, hath the man who sitteth away from strife, but, any fool, may break through.
3 É uma honra para um homem cessar os conflitos, mas todo tolo é intrometido.
4 By reason of the autumn, a sluggard will not plough, therefore shall he beg in harvest, and there be nothing.
4 O preguiçoso não lavrará por causa do frio; portanto, ele mendigará na colheita e nada terá.
5 Deep water, is counsel in a mans heart, but, a man of understanding, will draw it out.
5 Como as águas profundas é o conselho no coração do homem, mas um homem de entendimento a trará para fora.
6 A kind man one may call, a great man,but, a faithful man, who can find?
6 A maioria dos homens proclamará a todos sua própria bondade, mas um homem fiel, quem pode encontrar?
7 As for a righteous man, walking in his integrity, how happy are his children after him!
7 O homem justo anda na sua integridade; seus filhos são abençoados após ele.
8 A king sitting on the throne of judgment, scattereth, with his eyes, all wrong.
8 Um rei que se assenta no trono do juízo dissipa todo mal com os seus olhos.
9 Who can say, I have cleansed my heart, I am pure from my sin?
9 Quem poderá dizer: Purifiquei o meu coração, eu sou puro de meu pecado?
10 Divers weights, and divers measures, an abomination to Yahweh, are they, both.
10 Pesos diferentes e medidas diferentes; ambos são igualmente abominação ao SENHOR.
11 Even, by his doings, doth a youth make himself known, whether, pure and upright, be his work.
11 Até uma criança é conhecida pelos seus feitos, se a sua obra for pura e se está certa.
12 The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, Yahweh hath made them, both.
12 O ouvido que ouve, e o olho que vê, o SENHOR os fez a ambos.
13 Do not love sleep, lest thou come to poverty, open thine eyes, be satisfied with bread.
13 Não ames o sono, para que não venhas à pobreza; abre os teus olhos, e te satisfarás com o pão.
14 Bad! bad! saith the buyer, but, going his way, then, he boasteth.
14 Nada vale, nada vale, diz o comprador, mas quando ele vai pelo seu caminho, então ele se gaba.
15 There are gold, and an abundance of corals, but, precious jewels, are the lips of knowledge.
15 Há ouro e abundância de rubis, mas os lábios do conhecimento são joia preciosa.
16 Take his garment who is pledge for a stranger,then, for a woman unknown, accept him as surety.
16 Toma a sua vestimenta, que é garantia para um estranho, e toma o penhor dele por uma mulher estranha.
17 Sweet to a man, may be the bread of falsehood, but, afterward, shall his mouth be filled with gravel.
17 O pão do engano é doce para o homem, mas depois a sua boca se encherá de cascalho.
18 Plansby counsel, shalt thou establish, and, with concerted measures, make thou war.
18 Todo propósito é estabelecido pelo conselho, e com bons conselhos se faz a guerra.
19 A revealer of secrets, is one who goeth about talebearing, therefore, with him who openeth his lips, shalt thou not have fellowship.
19 Aquele que vai por aí como um mexeriqueiro revela segredos; portanto, não te intrometas com o que lisonjeia com os seus lábios.
20 Whoso revileth his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in deep darkness.
20 O que amaldiçoa seu pai ou sua mãe, apagar-se-á a sua lâmpada em trevas obscuras.
21 An inheritance hastily gotten at the beginning, the latter end thereof, shall not bring blessing.
21 A herança que no princípio é adquirida às pressas, no fim não será abençoada.
22 Do not say, I will requite wrong! Wait thou for Yahweh that he may save thee.
22 Não digas tu: Eu retribuirei o mal, mas espera no SENHOR e ele te salvará.
23 An abomination to Yahweh, are divers weights, and, deceptive balances, are not good.
23 Pesos diferentes são uma abominação ao SENHOR, e a balança falsa não é boa.
24 From Yahweh, are a mans steps, a son of earth, thenhow can he discern his way?
24 Os passos do homem são do SENHOR; como poderá então um homem entender o seu próprio caminho?
25 It is a snare to a man, that he should rashly cry Holy! and, after making vows, to reflect!
25 Laço é para o homem devorar aquilo que é santo, e só refletir depois de feitos os votos.
26 A wise king, winnoweth out the lawless, when he hath turned over them the wheel.
26 Um rei sábio espalha os perversos e traz sobre eles a roda.
27 The lamp of Yahweh, is the spirit of a son of earth, searching all the chambers of the inner man.
27 O espírito do homem é a luz do SENHOR, que esquadrinha todo o interior até o mais íntimo do ventre.
28 Lovingkindness and faithfulness, will guard a king,therefore should he support, with lovingkindness, his throne.
28 Misericórdia e verdade preservam o rei, e seu trono é sustentado pela misericórdia.
29 The beauty of young men, is their strength, and, the ornament of old men, a hoary head.
29 A glória dos homens jovens é a sua força, e a beleza dos homens velhos é a cabeça grisalha.
30 Blows that out in, cleanse away wickedness, and, smitings,
30 O azulado de uma ferida purifica do mal, como também as pancadas que penetram até o mais íntimo do ventre.
