1 He that breaketh in pieces hath come up over thy face, Keep the keeps,watch the way, brace the loins, make vigour very firm.
1 Aquele que está em pedaços subiu diante de tua face; guarda a tua munição, vigia o caminho, fortalece os teus lombos, e fortifica muito o teu poder.
2 For Yahweh hath restored the excellency of Jacob, like the excellency of Israel,for the plunderers have plundered them, and, their vine branches, have they marred.
2 Pois o SENHOR restaurará a excelência de Jacó, assim como a excelência de Israel; porque os saqueadores os despojaram, e arruinaram os seus ramos de videira.
3 The shield of his heroes, is made red, the men of war, are clad in crimson, on fire, are the chariot-steels, on the day he maketh ready,and, the lances, are put in motion.
3 O escudo dos seus fortes homens serão vermelhos, os homens valorosos estarão vestidos de escarlate, as carruagens serão como tochas flamejantes no dia da sua preparação, e os pinheiros serão terrivelmente abalados.
4 In the streets, madly go the chariots, they rush along in the broadways,their appearance, is like torches, as lightnings, hither and thither do they run.
4 As carruagens correrão furiosamente nas ruas, e colidirão um contra o outro nos largos caminhos; o seu aspecto será como o de tochas, e eles correrão como relâmpagos.
5 Let him call to mind his nobles, they shall stumble as they golet them hasten to her wall, yet the storming cover, is prepared.
5 Ele recontará os seus valentes; mas tropeçarão em sua caminhada; eles se apressarão para chegar ao seu muro, e a defesa será preparada.
6 The gates of the rivers, have been opened,and, the palace, doth quake.
6 As portas dos rios se abrirão, e o palácio será dissolvido.
7 And, Huzzab, hath been taken captivehath been led up,and, her handmaids, are making a moan like the sound of doves, as they taber upon their heart.
7 E Huzabe será levada cativa, conduzida para cima, e as suas servas a acompanharão, com voz como a de pombas, batendo em seus peitos.
8 Yet, as for Nineveh, like a reservoir of waters, are her waters,but, those men, are in flight! Stand! stand!! but no one is turning.
8 Mas Nínive é como um tanque antigo de águas, porém elas agora vazarão. Parai, parai, eles clamarão; mas ninguém olhará para trás.
9 Plunder silver, plunder gold,and there is no end to the costly furnishing, rich with every article of delight.
9 Levai a prata, levai o ouro, pois não há fim para a provisão, glória de toda a mobília agradável.
10 Emptiness, yea turned to emptiness, aye deserted
10 Ela está vazia, esgotada, e devastada; os corações derreteram-se, e os joelhos tremem; muita dor há em todos os lombos, e os rostos de todos eles se empalidecem.
11 Where is the lair of the lions? Yea the very feeding-place of the young lions,where walked the lion, the lioness, the lions whelp, with none to make them afraid?
11 Onde está a habitação dos leões, e o lugar onde alimentam-se os leõezinhos, onde passeava o leão velho, e o filhote do leão, sem haver ninguém que os fizesse ter medo?
12 The lion, used to tear in pieces enough for his whelps, and to strangle for his lionesses,and then fill with prey his holes, and his lairs with what he had torn.
12 O leão despedaçava o suficiente para os seus filhotes, e estrangulava para as suas leoas, e enchia as suas cavernas de presas, e os seus covis de rapina.
13 Behold me! against thee, Declareth Yahweh of hosts, Therefore will I burn up in smoke her chariots, and, thy young lions, shall be devoured by the sword,so will I cut off, out of the earth, thy prey, nor shall be heard any more, the voice of thine envoy.
13 Eis que estou contra ti, diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos, e queimarei na fumaça as suas carruagens, e a espada devorará os teus leõezinhos; eliminarei a tua presa da terra, e a voz dos teus mensageiros não será mais ouvida.
