1 And, entering into a boat, he crossed over, and came into his own city.
1 E, entrando no barco, passou para o outro lado, e chegou à sua cidade.
2 And lo! they were bringing unto him a paralytic, on a couch, laid prostrate; and Jesus, seeing, their faith, said to the paralytic,Take courage! child, forgiven are thy sins.
2 E eis que lhe trouxeram um homem paralítico, deitado em um leito; e Jesus, vendo a fé deles, disse ao paralítico: Filho, tem bom ânimo, teus pecados são perdoados.
3 And lo! certain of the scribes, said within themselves,This man, speaketh profanely!
3 E eis que, alguns dos escribas disseram consigo: Este homem blasfema.
4 And Jesus, knowing, their inward thoughts, said,To what end are ye cherishing evil thoughts within your hearts?
4 Mas Jesus, conhecendo-lhes os pensamentos, disse: Por que pensais mal em vossos corações?
5 For which is easierTo say, Forgiven are thy sins,or to say, Rise and be walking!
5 Pois, o que é mais fácil, dizer: Os teus pecados são perdoados; ou dizer: Levanta-te e anda?
6 But, that ye may know, that the Son of Man hath, authority, upon the earth, to be forgiving sins, then, saith he to the paralytic,Rise! take up thy couch, and withdraw unto thy house.
6 Mas, para que saibais que o Filho do homem tem poder sobre a terra para perdoar pecados (ele disse então ao paralítico): Levanta-te, toma o teu leito, e vai para tua casa.
7 And, rising, he departed unto his house.
7 E ele levantando-se, foi para sua casa.
8 Now the multitudes, seeing, were struck with fear, and glorified the God who had given authority, such as this, unto men.
8 Mas a multidão, vendo isso, maravilhava-se, e glorificaram a Deus, que dera tal poder aos homens.
9 And Jesus, passing aside from thence, saw a man presiding over the tax-office, called, Matthew, and saith unto him,Be following me. And, arising, he followed him.
9 E passando Jesus dali, viu assentado na coletoria um homem, chamado Mateus, e disse-lhe: Segue-me. E ele, levantando-se, o seguiu.
10 And it came to pass, as he was reclining in the house, that 1o! many tax-collectors and sinners, came, and were reclining together with Jesus and his disciples.
10 E aconteceu que, estando Jesus em casa sentado à mesa, eis que, chegaram muitos publicanos e pecadores, e sentaram-se juntamente com Jesus e seus discípulos.
11 And, the Pharisees, observing it, began to say unto his disciples,Wherefore, with tax-collectors and sinners, doth your Teacher eat?
11 E os fariseus, vendo isso, perguntaram aos seus discípulos: Por que come o vosso Mestre com os publicanos e pecadores?
12 And, he, hearing it, said,No need have the strong, of a physician, but they who are sick.
12 Jesus, porém, ouvindo isso, disse-lhes: Os sãos não têm necessidade de médico, mas sim os que estão enfermos.
13 But go ye, and learn what this meaneth,Mercy, I desire, and not, sacrifice; For I came, not to call the righteous, but sinners.
13 Ide, pois, e aprendei o que significa isto: Eu quero misericórdia, e não sacrifício; porque eu não vim para chamar os justos, mas os pecadores ao arrependimento.
14 Then come near unto him the disciples of John, saying,Wherefore do, we, and the Pharisees, fast, whereas, thy disciples, fast not?
14 Então vieram ter com ele os discípulos de João, dizendo: Por que nós e os fariseus jejuamos com frequência, mas os teus discípulos não jejuam?
15 And Jesus said unto them,Can, the sons of the bridechamber, mourn, so long as, the bridegroom, is, with them? But days will come, when the bridegroom, shall be taken from them, and, then, will they fast.
15 E disse-lhes Jesus: Podem os convidados do noivo estar de luto, enquanto o noivo está com eles? Mas dias virão, em que lhes será tirado o noivo, e então hão de jejuar.
16 Howbeit, no one, layeth on a patch of unshrunk cloth, upon an old garment,for the shrinking of it teareth away from the garment, and, a worse rent, is made.
16 Nenhum homem põe remendo de pano novo em roupa velha, porque o remendo rompe a roupa, e faz-se pior a rotura.
17 Neither pour they new wine into old skins: otherwise at least, the skins are burst, and, the wine, runneth out, and, the skins, are spoiled,but they pour new wine into unused skins, and, both, are together preserved.
17 Nenhum homem coloca vinho novo em odres velhos; do contrário os odres se rompem, o vinho se derrama, e os odres se perdem; mas coloca-se vinho novo em odres novos, e assim ambos se conservam.
18 While, these things, he was speaking unto them, lo! a certain ruler, came, and began bowing down to him, saying,My daughter, just now died! But come, and lay thy hand upon, her, and she shall live.
18 Enquanto ele ainda lhes dizia essas coisas, eis que chegou um certo governante e o adorou, dizendo: Minha filha faleceu agora mesmo; mas venha e impõe tua mão sobre ela, e ela viverá.
19 And Jesus, arising, was following him, also his disciples.
19 Levantando-se, pois, Jesus, o seguiu, e também foram os seus discípulos.
20 And lo! a woman, having a flow of blood twelve years, coming near behind, touched the fringe of his mantle.
20 E eis que uma mulher que havia já doze anos, padecia de um fluxo de sangue, chegando-se por detrás dele, tocou na orla de sua veste.
21 For she kept saying within herself,If only I touch his mantle, I shall be made well!
21 Pois ela dizia consigo: Se eu tão somente tocar a sua veste, eu ficarei sã.
22 And, Jesus, turning and seeing her, said,Take courage! daughter, Thy faith, hath made thee well. And the woman was made well, from that hour.
22 Mas Jesus, voltando-se e vendo-a, disse: Tem bom ânimo filha, a tua fé te curou! E naquela mesma hora a mulher ficou sã.
23 And, Jesus, coming, into the house of the ruler, and seeing the flute-players and the multitude in confusion, was saying:
23 E Jesus, chegando à casa do governante, e vendo os flautistas e as pessoas em alvoroço,
24 Give place! for the maiden died not, but is sleeping. And they began to deride him.
24 disse-lhes: Retirai-vos, pois a menina não está morta, mas dorme. E riram dele para o escarnecer.
25 But, when the multitude had been put forth, he went in, and grasped her hand,and the maiden arose.
25 Mas quando as pessoas foram colocadas para fora, ele entrou, a tomou pela sua mão, e a menina se levantou.
26 And forth went this report, into the whole of that land.
26 E sua fama acerca disto foi por toda aquela terra.
27 And, as Jesus, was passing aside from thence, there followed him, two blind men, crying aloud and saying,Have mercy on us, O Son of David!
27 E, partindo Jesus dali, seguiram-no dois homens cegos, clamando e dizendo: Filho de Davi, tem misericórdia de nós.
28 And, when he entered the house, the blind men came unto him,and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye, that I can, do this? They say unto him, Yea, Lord!
28 E, quando ele chegou à casa, os homens cegos se aproximaram dele; e Jesus perguntou-lhes: Credes vós que eu possa fazer isto? Disseram-lhe: Sim, Senhor.
29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith, be it done unto you.
29 Então ele tocou nos seus olhos, dizendo: conforme a vossa fé vos seja feito.
30 And their eyes were opened. And Jesus, sternly charged them, saying, Mind! let no one know!
30 E seus olhos foram abertos; e Jesus rigorosamente lhes advertiu, dizendo: Vede para que nenhum homem saiba isto.
31 They, however, going forth, made him known throughout the whole of that land.
31 Mas eles, saindo, espalharam a sua fama por toda aquela terra.
32 And, as, they, were going forth, lo! there was brought to him, a dumb man, demonized.
32 Enquanto eles saíam, eis que lhe trouxeram um homem mudo possuído por um demônio.
33 And, the demon being cast out, the dumb man spoke; and the multitudes marvelled, saying,Never, was it seen thus, in Israel.
33 E, o demônio sendo expulso, o mudo falou; e as multidões se maravilharam, dizendo: Nunca se viu algo assim em Israel.
34 But, the Pharisees, beg to say, In the ruler of the demons, is he casting out the demons.
34 Os fariseus, porém, diziam: Ele expulsa os demônios pelo príncipe dos demônios.
35 And Jesus was going round all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues, and proclaiming the glad-message of the kingdom,and curing every disease, and every infirmity.
35 E Jesus foi por todas as cidades e aldeias, ensinando nas suas sinagogas, pregando o evangelho do reino, e curando todas as enfermidades e todas as doenças entre o povo.
36 But, seeing the multitudes, he was moved with compassion concerning them, because they were torn and thrown down, like sheep hating no shepherd.
36 E, ele vendo as multidões, moveu-se com compaixão delas, porque estavam exaustas e dispersas, como ovelhas que não têm pastor.
37 Then, saith he unto his disciples, The harvest, indeed, is great, but, the labourers, few;
37 Então ele disse aos seus discípulos: A seara verdadeiramente é grande, mas poucos são os trabalhadores.
38 Beg ye, therefore, of the Lord of the harvest,That he would thrust forth labourers, into his harvest.
38 Orai, pois, ao Senhor da seara, que envie trabalhadores para a sua seara.
