1 On that day, Jesus, going out of the house, was sitting near the sea:
1 No mesmo dia, saindo Jesus de casa, sentou-se junto ao mar.
2 and there were gathered unto him, large multitudes, so that, he, into a boat, entered, and was sitting, and, all the multitude, on the beach was standing.
2 E grandes multidões se reuniram a ele, de modo que, entrando ele em um barco, assentou-se, e toda a multidão estava em pé na praia.
3 And he spake unto them many things, in parables, saying: Lo! the sower went forth to sow,
3 E falou-lhes muitas coisas por parábolas, dizendo: Eis que um semeador saiu a semear;
4 and, as he sowed, some, indeed, fell by the pathway, and, the birds, came, and devoured it;
4 e quando ele semeava, algumas sementes caíram junto ao caminho, e vieram as aves e as devoraram.
5 And, some, fell on the rocky places, where it had not much earth,and, straightway, it sprang up, because if had no depth of earth;
5 Algumas caíram em lugares pedregosos, onde não havia muita terra; e imediatamente elas brotaram, porque não havia terra profunda.
6 and, the sun arising, it was scorched, and, because it had no root, it withered away;
6 E quando o sol nasceu, queimaram-se; e porque não tinham raiz, elas murcharam-se.
7 And, some, fell upon the thorns, and the thorns came up, and choked it;
7 E outras caíram entre espinhos, e os espinhos cresceram e as sufocaram.
8 But, some, fell upon the good ground, and did yield fruit,this, indeed a hundred fold, and, that, sixty, and, the other, thirty.
8 Mas outras caíram em boa terra, e deram fruto, algumas cem vezes, outras a sessenta vezes e outras a trinta vezes.
9 He that hath ears, let him hear.
9 Quem tem ouvidos para ouvir, ouça.
10 And the disciples, coming near, said to him, Wherefore, in parables, art thou speaking to them?
10 E vieram os discípulos, e lhe perguntaram: Por que tu falas por parábolas?
11 And, he, answering, said, Because, unto you, hath it been given, to get to know the sacred secrets of the kingdom of the heavens,whereas, unto them, hath it not been given.
11 Ele respondendo, disse-lhes: Porque a vós é dado conhecer os mistérios do reino do céu, mas a eles não lhes é dado.
12 For, whosoever hath, it shall be given, to him, and he shall be made to abound,but, whoever hath not, even what he hath, shall be taken from him?
12 Porque àquele que tem, para ele se dará, e terá mais em abundância; mas àquele que não tem, até aquilo que tem lhe será tirado.
13 For this reason, in parables, unto them, do I speak,because, seeing, they see not, and, hearing, they hear not,neither do they understand.
13 Portanto lhes falo por parábolas; porque eles vendo, não veem; e ouvindo, não ouvem nem compreendem.
14 And, again is being fulfilled in them, the prophecy of Isaiah, which saith,They shall, surely hear, and yet will not understand, and, surely see, and yet not perceive;
14 E neles se cumpre a profecia de Isaías, que diz: Ouvindo, ouvireis, e não compreendereis, e, vendo, vereis, e não percebereis.
15 For the heart of this people hath become dense, and, with their ears, heavily have they heard, and, their eyes, have they closed,lest, once they should see with their eyes, and, with their ears, should hear, and, with their hearts, should understand, and return; when I would certainly heal them.
15 Porque o coração deste povo está endurecido, e os seus ouvidos surdos para ouvir, e eles fecharam seus olhos; para que em nenhum momento vejam com os seus olhos, e ouçam com os seus ouvidos, e compreendam com o seu coração, e se convertam, e eu os cure.
16 But happy are, your, eyes, that they see, and your ears, that they hear;
16 Mas, abençoados são os vossos olhos, porque eles veem, e os vossos ouvidos, porque eles ouvem.
17 For, verily, I say unto youMany prophets and righteous men, have coveted to see what ye see, and have not seen, and to hear what ye hear, and have not heard.
17 Porque em verdade eu vos digo que muitos profetas e homens justos desejaram ver estas coisas que vós vedes, e não o viram; e ouvir estas coisas que vós ouvis, e não o ouviram.
18 Hear, ye, then, the parable of him that sowed:
18 Escutai vós, portanto, a parábola do semeador.
19 When anyone heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, the wicked one cometh, and catcheth up that which hath been sown in his heart,this, is he, by the pathway, sown.
19 Quando alguém ouve a palavra do reino, e não a compreende, então vem o perverso, e afasta o que foi semeado no seu coração; este é o que recebeu a semente junto do caminho.
20 And, he on the rocky places sown, the same, is he that, heareth the word, and, straightway, with joy, receiveth it;
20 Mas o que recebeu a semente em lugares pedregosos, é o que ouve a palavra, e logo a recebe com alegria;
21 yet hath he no root in himself, but is, only for a season,and, there arising, tribulation or persecution because of the word, straightway, he findeth cause of stumbling.
21 mas ele não tem raiz em si mesmo, apenas dura um tempo; pois quando vem tribulação ou perseguição por causa da palavra, imediatamente se esmorece.
22 And, he among the thorns sown, the same, is he that, heareth the word,and, the anxiety of the age and the deceit of riches, choke up the word, and, unfruitful, it becometh.
22 E também o que recebeu a semente entre espinhos é o que ouve a palavra, mas os cuidados deste mundo e o engano das riquezas, sufocam a palavra, e ela fica infrutífera.
23 But, he on the good ground sown, the same, is he who doth hear and understand the word, who, indeed, beareth fruit and produceth,this, a hundred, and, that, sixty, and, the other, thirty.
23 Mas o que recebeu a semente em boa terra é o que ouve a palavra e compreende-a; e também dá fruto, e um produz cem vezes, outro sessenta vezes, e outro trinta vezes.
24 Another parable, put he before them, sayingThe kingdom of the heavens hath become like a man sowing good seed in his field;
24 Apresentou-lhes outra parábola, dizendo: O reino do céu é semelhante a um homem que semeou boa semente no seu campo.
25 and, while men were sleeping, his enemy came, and sowed over darnel, in among the wheat,and away he went.
25 Mas, enquanto dormiam os homens, veio o seu inimigo, e semeou joio no meio do trigo, e seguiu o seu caminho.
26 And, when the blade shot up, and brought forth, fruit, then, appeared, the darnel also.
26 Mas, quando o caule cresceu e produziu fruto, apareceu também o joio.
27 And the servants of the householder, coming near, said to him,Sir! was it not, good seed, thou didst sow in thy field? Whence then hath it, darnel?
27 Assim, os servos do dono da casa vieram, e disseram a ele: Senhor, tu não semeaste boa semente no teu campo? De onde então vem esse joio?
28 And he said unto themAn enemy, hath, done this. And they say, unto himWilt thou, then, that we go and collect it?
28 E ele disse-lhes: Um inimigo é quem fez isso. E os servos lhe disseram: Queres, então, que vamos e o colhamos?
29 And, he, saithNay! lest, at any time, while collecting the darnel, ye uproot, along with it, the wheat:
29 Ele, porém, disse: Não; para que, ao colher o joio, não arranqueis também o trigo com ele.
30 Suffer both to grow together until the harvest, and at, harvest time, I will say unto the reapers,Collect ye first, the darnel, and bind it into bundles, with a view to the burning it up; but, the wheat, be gathering it into my barn.
30 Deixai-os crescer juntos até a colheita; e, no tempo da colheita, eu direi aos ceifeiros: Colhei juntos primeiro o joio, e amarrai-o em fardos para ser queimado, mas o trigo recolhei no meu celeiro.
31 Another parable, put he before them, sayingThe kingdom of the heavens is like unto, a grain of mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field;
31 Apresentou-lhes outra parábola, dizendo: O reino do céu é semelhante a um grão de semente de mostarda, que um homem tomou, e semeou no seu campo.
32 which, indeed, is, less, than all seeds, but, when grown, is greater than garden-plants, and becometh a tree,so that the birds of heaven come, and lodge among its branches.
32 Que, na verdade, é o menor que todas as sementes; mas quando crescido, é o maior entre as hortaliças, e torna-se uma árvore, de modo que vêm as aves do céu, e se aninham nos seus ramos.
33 Another parable, spake he unto them :The kingdom of the heavens is like, unto leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of flour until, the whole, was leavened.
33 Outra parábola lhes disse: O reino do céu é semelhante ao fermento, que uma mulher tomou e escondeu em três medidas de farinha, até ficar tudo levedado.
34 All these things, spake Jesus in parables, unto the multitudes, and, without a parable, was he speaking, nothing, unto them:
34 Todas estas coisas falou Jesus à multidão por parábolas, e sem parábolas ele não lhes falava.
35 that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken through the prophet, sayingI will open, in parables, my mouth, I will bring up things hidden from the foundation!
35 Para que pudesse se cumprir o que fora dito pelo profeta, dizendo: Eu abrirei a minha boca em parábolas; proferirei coisas mantidas em segredo desde a fundação do mundo.
36 Then, dismissing the multitudes, he went into the house, and his disciples came near to him, sayingMake quite plain to us the parable of the darnel of the field.
36 Então Jesus despedindo a multidão, entrou na casa. E vieram até ele os seus discípulos, dizendo: Explica-nos a parábola do joio do campo.
37 And, he, answering, saidHe that soweth the good seed, is the Son of Man;
37 E ele, respondendo, disse-lhes: O que semeia a boa semente é o Filho do homem;
38 And, the field, is the world, and, the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom,and, the darnel seeds, are the sons of the evil one;
38 o campo é o mundo; a boa semente são os filhos do reino; mas o joio são os filhos do perverso;
39 And, the enemy that sowed them, is the adversary, and, the harvest, is, the conclusion of an age, and, the reapers, are, messengers.
39 o inimigo, que o semeou, é o diabo; a colheita é o fim do mundo; e os ceifeiros são os anjos.
40 Just, therefore, as collected is the darnel, and, with fire is burned, so, will it be in the conclusion of the age:
40 Portanto, como o joio é colhido e queimado no fogo, assim acontecerá no fim deste mundo.
41 The Son of Man will send forth his messengers, and they will collect, out of his kingdom, all the causes of stumbling, and the doers of lawlessness,
41 O Filho do Homem enviará os seus anjos, e eles colherão do seu reino tudo que escandaliza, e os que praticam a iniquidade;
42 and will cast them into the furnace of fire: there, will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
42 e lançá-los-ão na fornalha de fogo; ali haverá pranto e ranger de dentes.
43 Then, the righteous, will shine forth as the sun, in the kingdom of their Father. He that hath ears, let him hear!
43 Então os justos brilharão como o sol no reino de seu Pai. Quem tem ouvidos para ouvir, ouça.
44 The kingdom of the heavens is like unto, a treasure hid in the field, which a man, finding, hid,and, by reason of his joy, withdraweth and selleth whatsoever he hath, and buyeth that field.
44 Novamente, o reino do céu é semelhante a um tesouro escondido no campo, que um homem achou e escondeu; e, por causa da sua alegria, vai, vende tudo quanto tem, e compra aquele campo.
45 Again, the kingdom of the heavens is, like, unto, a merchant, seeking beautiful pearls,
45 Novamente, o reino do céu é semelhante a um homem negociante, que busca boas pérolas.
46 and, finding one very precious pearl, departing, he at once sold all things, whatsoever he had, and bought it.
46 E, tendo encontrado uma pérola de grande preço, foi e vendeu tudo quanto tinha, e comprou-a.
47 Again, the kingdom of the heavens is like unto, a large drag-net, cast into the sea and gathering of every kind,
47 Novamente, o reino do céu é semelhante a uma rede lançada ao mar, recolhendo de toda a espécie.
48 which, when it was filled, they dragged up on the beach, and, sitting down, collected the good into vessels, but, the worthless, forth they cast.
48 E, estando cheia, puxam para a praia; e, assentando-se, ajuntam os bons em cestos, mas lançam para longe os ruins.
49 So, will it be in the conclusion of the age: The messengers will come forth, and separate the wicked from among the righteous;
49 Assim será no fim do mundo; os anjos virão, e separarão os perversos dentre os justos,
50 and will cast them into the furnace of fire: there, will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
50 e lançá-los-ão na fornalha de fogo; ali haverá pranto e ranger de dentes.
51 Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea!
51 E disse-lhes Jesus: Tens compreendido todas estas coisas? Disseram-lhe eles: Sim, Senhor.
52 And, he, said unto themWherefore, every scribe, discipled unto the kingdom of the heavens, is like unto a householder, who putteth forth out of his treasure, things new and old.
52 Então ele disse-lhes: Portanto, todo o escriba que é instruído acerca do reino do céu é semelhante a um homem que é chefe da família, e tira do seu tesouro coisas novas e velhas.
53 And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these parables, he removed from thence;
53 E aconteceu que, quando Jesus havia concluído estas parábolas, partiu dali.
54 and, coming into his own city, began teaching them in their synagogue, so that with astonishment were they being struck, and were sayingWhence, hath, this one, this wisdom, and the mighty works?
54 E, chegando à sua terra, ele ensinava-os na sinagoga deles, de modo que eles se maravilhavam, e diziam: De onde veio a este homem sabedoria, e estas obras poderosas?
55 Is not, this one, the carpenters, son? Is not, his mother, called Mary, and are not his brethrenJames and Joseph, and Simon, and Judas?
55 Não é este o filho do carpinteiro? E não se chama sua mãe Maria, e seus irmãos Tiago, e José, e Simão, e Judas?
56 and, his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence, then hath, this one, all these things?
56 E suas irmãs, não estão todas elas entre nós? De onde então tem este homem todas essas coisas?
57 And they began to find cause of stumbling in him. But, Jesus, said unto themA prophet is not without honour, save in his city, and in his house.
57 E eles se ofendiam dele. Mas Jesus lhes disse: Não há profeta sem honra, a não ser na sua própria terra e na sua própria casa.
58 And he did not, there, many mighty works, because of their unbelief.
58 E ele não fez ali muitas obras poderosas, por causa da incredulidade deles.
