1 And, entering again into Capernaum, after some days, it was heard sayHe is in a house;
1 Alguns dias depois, Jesus entrou novamente em Cafarnaum e souberam que ele estava em casa.
2 and many were gathered together, so that no longer was there room even in the approaches to the door,and he began speaking unto them the word;
2 Reuniu-se uma tal multidão, que não podiam encontrar lugar nem mesmo junto à porta. E ele os instruía.
3 and they come, bearing unto him a paralytic, upborne by four,
3 Trouxeram-lhe um paralítico, carregado por quatro homens.
4 and, not being able to get near him by reason of the multitude, they uncovered the roof where he was, and, having broken it up, they began letting down the couch whereon the paralytic was lying;
4 Como não pudessem apresentar-lho por causa da multidão, descobriram o teto por cima do lugar onde Jesus se achava e, por uma abertura, desceram o leito em que jazia o paralítico.
5 and, Jesus, seeing their faith, saith unto the paralyticChild! forgiven are thy sins!
5 Jesus, vendo-lhes a fé, disse ao paralítico: "Filho, perdoados te são os pecados."
6 Now there were certain of the Scribes there, sitting and deliberating in their hearts,
6 Ora, estavam ali sentados alguns escribas, que diziam uns aos outros:
7 Why doth, this, man thus talk? he is speaking profanely! Who can forgive sins, save one, God?
7 "Como pode este homem falar assim? Ele blasfema. Quem pode perdoar pecados senão Deus?"
8 And Jesus, straightway, taking note in his spirit, that thus they are deliberating within themselves, saith unto them Why, these things, are ye deliberating in your hearts?
8 Mas Jesus, penetrando logo com seu espírito tios seus íntimos pensamentos, disse-lhes: "Por que pensais isto nos vossos corações?
9 Which is easierto say unto the paralytic, Forgiven are thy sins, or to say, Rise, and take up thy couch, and be walking?
9 Que é mais fácil dizer ao paralítico: Os pecados te são perdoados, ou dizer: Levanta-te, toma o teu leito e anda?
10 But, that ye may know that the Son of Man hath authority to be forgiving sins upon the earth, he saith to the paralytic:
10 Ora, para que conheçais o poder concedido ao Filho dó homem sobre a terra {disse ao paralítico},
11 To thee, I say, Rise, take up thy couch, and be going thy way unto thy house.
11 eu te ordeno: levanta-te, toma o teu leito e vai para casa."
12 And he arose, and, straightway taking up the couch, went forth before all,so that all were beside themselves and were glorifying God, saying Thus, we never saw it!
12 No mesmo instante, ele se levantou e, tomando o. leito, foi-se embora à vista de todos. A, multidão inteira encheu-se de profunda admiração e puseram-se a louvar a Deus, dizendo: "Nunca vimos coisa semelhante."
13 And he went forth again by the sea,and all the multitude was coming unto him, and he began teaching them.
13 Jesus saiu de novo para perto do mar e toda a multidão foi ter com ele, e ele os ensinava.
14 And, passing by, he saw Levi, the son of Alphaeus, sitting over the tax-office,and saith unto himBe following me! And, arising, he followed him.
14 Quando ia passando, viu Levi, filho de Alfeu, sentado no posto da arrecadação e disse-lhe: "Segue-me." E Levi, levantando-se, seguiu-o.
15 And it cometh to pass, that he is reclining in his house, and many tax-collectors and sinners were reclining with Jesus and his disciples; for there were many, and they began following him.
15 Em seguida, pôs-se à mesa na sua casa e muitos cobradores de impostos e pecadores tomaram lugar com ele e seus discípulos; com efeito, eram numerosos os que o seguiam.
16 And the Scribes and Pharisees, seeing that he was eating with the sinners and the tax-collectors, began saying unto his disciplesWith the tax-collectors and sinners, is he eating?
16 Os escribas, do partido dos fariseus,. vendo-o comer com as pessoas de má vida e publicamos, diziam aos seus discípulos: "Ele come com os publicamos e com gente de má vida? "
17 And, hearing it, Jesus saith unto themNo need, have the strong of a physician, but they who are sick, I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.
17 Ouvindo-os, Jesus replicou: "Os sãos não precisam de médico, mas os enfermos; não vim chamar os justos, mas os pecadores."
18 And the disciples and the Pharisees were fasting; and they come and say unto himFor what cause, do, the disciples and the disciples of the Pharisees, fast, whereas, thy disciples, fast not?
18 Ora, os discípulos de João e os fariseus jejuavam. Por isso, foram-lhe perguntar: "Por que jejuam os discípulos de João e os dos fariseus, mas os teus discípulos não jejuam?"
19 And Jesus said unto themIs it possible for the sons of the bridechamber, while the bridegroom is with them, to be fasting? So long as they have the bridegroom with them, it is impossible, to fast.
19 Jesus respondeu-lhes: "Podem porventura jejuar os convidados das núpcias, enquanto está com eles o esposo? Enquanto têm consigo o esposo, não lhes é -possível jejuar.
20 But there will come days, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and, then, they will fast, in that day.
20 Dias virão, porém, em que o esposo lhes será tirado, e então jejuarão.
21 No one, seweth a patch of unshrunk cloth upon an old mantle,otherwise, at least, the shrinking teareth away from itthe new from the oldand, a worse rent is made.
21 "Ninguém prega retalho de pano novo em roupa velha; do contrário, o remendo arranca novo pedaço da veste usada e torna-se pior o rasgão.
22 And, no one, poureth new wine into fold skins,otherwise, at least, the wine will burst the skins, and the wine is lost, and, the skins. But new wine is for unused skins.
22 E ninguém põe vinho novo em odres velhos; se o fizer, o vinho os arrebentará e perder-se-á juntamente com os odres mas para vinho novo, odres novos."
23 And it came to pass, that he, on the Sabbath, was passing through the cornfields, and his disciples began to be going forward, plucking the ears of corn.
23 Num dia de sábado, o Senhor caminhava pelos campos e seus discípulos, andando, começaram a colher espigas.
24 And, the Pharisees, were saying,See! why are they doing, on the Sabbath, what is not allowed?
24 Os fariseus observaram-lhe: "Vede! Por que fazem eles no sábado o que não é permitido?" Jesus respondeu-lhes:
25 And he saith unto themHave ye never read what David did, when he had need and hungered,he, and they who were with him:
25 "Nunca lestes o que fez Davi, quando se achou em necessidade e teve fome, ele e os seus companheiros?
26 how he entered into the house of God, while Abiathar was High-priest, and, the presence-bread, did eat,which it is not allowed to eat, save unto the priests,and gave, unto them also who were with him?
26 Ele entrou na casa de Deus, sendo Abiatar príncipe dos sacerdotes, e comeu os pães da proposição, dos quais só aos sacerdotes era permitido comer, e os deu aos seus companheiros."
27 And he was saying unto themThe Sabbath, for man, was made, and not, man, for, the Sabbath:
27 E dizia-lhes: "O sábado foi feito para o homem, e não o homem para o sábado;
28 So that the Son of Man is, Lord, even of the Sabbath.
28 e, para dizer tudo, o Filho do homem é senhor também do sábado."
