Jeremias 7

1 The word that came unto Jeremiah, from Yahweh saying:
1 Palavra que veio a Jeremias da parte do SENHOR, dizendo:
2 Stand thou in the gate of the house of Yahweh, and thou shalt proclaim there this word,and shalt sayHear ye the word of Yahweh all Judah ye who are entering in at these gates, to bow down unto Yahweh:
2 Coloca-te ao portão da casa do SENHOR, e proclama lá esta palavra e dize: Ouvi a palavra do SENHOR, todos vós de Judá, que entrais nestes portões para adorar ao SENHOR.
3 Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts God of Israel, Amend your ways, and your doings,That I may cause you to dwell in this place.
3 Assim diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos, o Deus de Israel: Emendai os vossos caminhos e os vossos feitos, e eu vos farei habitar neste lugar.
4 Do not, on your part trust in false words, saying,The temple of Yahweh The temple of Yahweh, The temple of Yahweh they are!
4 Não confieis vós em palavras mentirosas, dizendo: O templo do SENHOR, o templo do SENHOR, o templo do SENHOR são estes.
5 But, if ye shall thoroughly amend, your ways, and your doings,Shall thoroughly execute justice between a man and his neighbour;
5 Pois se vós emendardes completamente os vossos caminhos e os vossos feitos, se vós realizardes julgamento entre um homem e seu próximo.
6 The sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow, shall not oppress, And innocent blood, shall not shed in this place,And after other gods, shall not walk to your own hurt,
6 Se vós não oprimirdes o estrangeiro, o órfão, e a viúva, e não derramardes sangue inocente neste lugar, nem andardes após outros deuses para vosso mal.
7 Then will I cause you to dwell In this place, In the land which I gave to your fathers,From one age even unto another,
7 Então eu vos farei habitar neste lugar, na terra que eu dei para vossos pais, para sempre e sempre.
8 Lo! ye, on your part, are trusting in false words,To no profit!
8 Eis que vós confiais em palavras mentirosas que não podem beneficiar.
9 Are ye to steal, commit murder and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal,and walk after other gods whom ye have not known;
9 Ireis vós roubar, assassinar, e cometer adultério, e jurar falsamente, e queimar incenso para Baal, e andar após outros deuses a quem não conheceis.
10 And will ye then come in and stand before me in this house whereon my Name hath been called, and say,We have set ourselves free,for the purpose of committing all these abominations?
10 E vireis e vos colocareis perante a mim nesta casa, que é chamada pelo meu nome, e direis: Nós somos livres para fazer todas estas abominações?
11 A den of robbers, hath this house on which my Name hath been called become in your own eyes? I, also,lo! I have seen it Declareth Yahweh.
11 É pois esta casa, que é chamada pelo meu nome, um esconderijo de ladrões aos vossos olhos? Eis que eu tenho visto isto, diz o SENHOR.
12 For go I pray you, unto my place which was in Shiloh, Where I made my Name to dwell, at first,And see what I did to it, because of the wickedness of my people Israel!
12 Porém, ide vós agora para meu lugar que estava em Siló, onde, no princípio, eu coloquei o meu nome, e vede o que eu lhe fiz pela perversidade do meu povo Israel.
13 Now, thereforeBecause ye have done all these deeds Declareth Yahweh,And though I spake unto you betimes speaking, Yet ye hearkened not, And though I cried unto you Yet ye answered not,
13 E agora, porque vós tendes feito todas estas obras, diz o SENHOR, e eu vos falei, madrugando e falando, porém vós não ouvistes. E eu vos chamei, porém vós não respondestes.
14 Therefore will I do to the house Whereon my Name hath been called Wherein, ye, are trusting, Even to the place which I gave to you and to your fathers,Just as I did unto Shiloh;
14 Portanto eu farei a esta casa, que é chamada pelo meu nome em que vós confiais, e ao lugar que eu dei a vós e a vossos pais como fiz a Siló.
15 And will cast you out from before me,Just as I have cast out All your brethren, All the seed of Ephraim.
15 E eu vos lançarei da minha presença, assim como eu expeli todos os vossos irmãos, a toda semente de Efraim.
16 Thou, thereforeDo not pray for this people Neither lift up for them cry or prayer Neither intercede with me,For I am not going to heat thee.
16 Portanto não ores por este povo, nem levantes clamor nem oração por eles, nem faças intercessão a mim, pois eu não ouvirei.
17 Dost thou not see what, they, are doing In the cities of Judah,and In the streets of Jerusalem?
17 Não vês tu que eles fazem nas cidades de Judá, e nas ruas de Jerusalém?
18 The children, gather wood, and The fathers, kindle the fire, and The women, knead dough,To make sacrificial cakes to the queen of the heavens, And to pour out drink-offerings to other gods, Provoking me to anger!
18 Os filhos juntam madeira, e os pais acendem o fogo, e as mulheres amassam suas massas, para fazerem bolos para a rainha do céu, e derramam ofertas de bebida para outros deuses, para que eles possam me provocar à ira .
19 Is it me, they are provoking? Enquireth Yahweh,Is it not themselves,unto the shame of their own faces?
19 Eles provocam-me à ira? diz o SENHOR. Não provocam eles a si mesmos, para a confusão das suas próprias faces?
20 Wherefore, Thus, saith My Lord YahwehLo! mine anger and mine indignation, are about to be poured out upon this place, On man and on beast, and On the tree of the field and On the fruit of the ground,And it shall burn and shall not be quenched.
20 Portanto assim diz o Senhor DEUS: Eis que a minha ira, e a minha fúria, serão derramados sobre este lugar, sobre homem e sobre animal, e sobre as árvores do campo, e sobre o fruto do chão, e se queimará, e não se apagará.
21 Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts God of Israel,Your ascending-offerings, add ye unto your peace-offerings and eat ye flesh.
21 Assim diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos, o Deus de Israel: Colocai vossas ofertas queimadas com os vossos sacrifícios, e comei carne.
22 For I bade not your fathers Neither commanded I them, In the day I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt,Concerning the matter of ascending-offering and peace-offering;
22 Pois eu não falei a vossos pais, nem ordenei-lhes no dia em que os trouxe para fora da terra do Egito, a respeito de ofertas queimadas ou sacrifícios.
23 But, this thing, I commanded themsaying, Hearken ye unto my voice, So will I become unto youa God, And, ye, shall become unto mea people,Ye shall therefore walk in all the way that I may command you, To the end it may be well with you;
23 Porém isto lhes ordenei, dizendo: Obedecei minha voz e eu serei vosso Deus, e vós sereis meu povo; e andai em todos os caminhos que vos tenho ordenado, para que isto vos vá bem.
24 Yet they hearkened not Neither inclined their ear, But walked, In the counselsIn the stubbornness of their own wicked heart; And went backward, and not forward.
24 Porém eles não escutaram, nem inclinaram os seus ouvidos, porém andaram nos conselhos e na imaginação de seus corações perversos, e assim retrocederam, e não avançaram.
25 Ever since the day that your fathers came forth out of the land of Egypt, until this day, Have I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, Daily, betimes, sending them;
25 Desde o dia em que vossos pais saíram da terra do Egito até este dia, eu vos enviei todos os meus servos, os profetas, diariamente madrugando, e enviando-os.
26 Yet they hearkened not unto me, Neither inclined their ear,But stiffened their neck, They did more wickedly than their fathers.
26 Contudo eles não me escutaram, nem inclinaram os seus ouvidos, porém endureceram a sua cerviz, e fizeram pior que os seus pais.
27 Therefore shalt thou speak unto them all these words, Though they do not hearken unto thee,And thou shalt cry aloud unto them Though they do not answer thee;
27 Portanto tu falarás todas estas palavras para eles. Porém eles não te escutarão. Tu também os chamarás, porém eles não te responderão.
28 But thou shalt say unto them,This, is the nation that hearkened not unto the voice of Yahweh its God, Neither accepted they correction,Perished is fidelity, And is cut off out of their mouth.
28 Porém tu lhes dirás: Esta é uma nação que não obedece a voz do SENHOR, seu Deus, nem recebe correção; a verdade já pereceu e foi cortada de sua boca.
29 Cut thou off thy crown of hair , and cast it away, And lift thou up on the bare heights, a dirge,For Yahweh hath rejected and cast out the generation with which he was wroth.
29 Corta teu cabelo, ó Jerusalém, e lança-o fora, e ergue uma lamentação sobre os lugares altos, pois o SENHOR rejeitou e abandonou a geração de seu furor.
30 For the sons of Judah, have done, that which was wicked in mine eyes, Declareth Yahweh,They have set their abominations in the house whereon my Name hath been called to defile it;
30 Porque os filhos de Judá fizeram o mal a minha vista, diz o SENHOR. Eles colocaram as suas abominações na casa sobre a qual é invocado o meu nome.
31 And they have built the high places of Topheth, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, To burn up their sons and their daughters in the fire,Which I commanded not, Neither came it up on my heart,
31 E eles edificaram os lugares altos de Tofete, que está no vale do filho de Hinom, para queimar os seus filhos e as suas filhas no fogo, o que eu não lhes ordenei, e nem chegou ao meu coração.
32 Therefore, lo! days are coming, Declareth Yahweh, When it shall not be called any moreThe Topheth, nor The valley of Ben-hinnom, but The valley of Slaughter,And they shall bury in Topheth, for want of place;
32 Portanto, eis que os dias vêm, diz o SENHOR, em que este não será mais chamado Tofete, nem o vale do filho de Hinom, mas o vale da matança, pois eles enterrarão em Tofete até não haver mais lugar.
33 And the dead bodies of this people shall become food, For the bird of the heavens, and For the beast of the earth,And there shall be none to drive them away.
33 E as carcaças deste povo servirão de comida para as aves do céu, e para os animais da terra, e ninguém os espantará.
34 So will I cause to cease, From the cities of Judah, and, From the streets of Jerusalem, The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, The voice of the bridegroom, and The voice of the bride,For, a desolation, shall the land become.
34 Então eu farei cessar das cidades de Judá, e das ruas de Jerusalém, a voz de regozijo, e a voz de júbilo, e a voz do noivo, e a voz da noiva, pois a terra será desolada.
