Isaías 10

1 Alas! for them who ordain iniquitous decree,And, busy writers, who make a business of writing mischief:
1 Ai dos que promulgam injustos decretos, e escrevem coisas perversas as quais têm eles prescrito.
2 Turning aside from judgment, the poor, And robbing, of justice, the oppressed of my people,So that, widows, become, their spoil, And of the fatherless, they make prey.
2 Para deixar de lado a pessoa carente, necessitada de julgamento, e para remover o direito do pobre dentre o meu povo, para que viúvas possam ser suas presas e que eles possam roubar o órfão de pai!
3 What, then, will ye do for the day of visitation, And for the devastation, which from afar, shall come? Unto whom, will ye flee for help? And where will ye leave your gory?
3 E o que fareis vós no dia da visitação e na desolação que virá de longe? Para quem fugireis vós para obter ajuda? E aonde vós deixareis vossa glória?
4 Without me, one hath bowed under a prisoner Yea under the slain, do they fall! For all this, hath his anger, not turned back, But still, is his hand outstretched.
4 Sem mim eles se curvarão debaixo dos prisioneiros, e cairão em uma condição abaixo dos assassinados. Apesar disto tudo, a ira dele não está desviada, porém sua mão está estendida, imóvel.
5 Alas! for Assyria, the rod of mine anger,Yea, the very staff in their hand, is, my displeasure:
5 Ó assírios, a vara da minha ira; e o bastão que está nas mãos deles é a minha indignação.
6 Against an irreligious nation, will I send him, Yea against the people with whom I am wroth, will I command him,To capture spoil And lay hold on prey, And cause them to be trodden down as the mire of the lanes.
6 Eu os enviarei contra uma nação hipócrita e contra o povo da minha cólera, darei a esses uma ordem de cobrança, para pegarem o despojo, para pegarem a presa, e para os pisarem como a lama das ruas.
7 But as for him, not so, doth he deem, And in his heart, not so, doth he think,For, to destroy, is in his heart, And to cut off nations, not a few;
7 Embora ele não considere isto, nem seu coração pense tal coisa; porém está no coração dele destruir e cortar nações, não umas poucas.
8 For he saith:Are not, my generals, all alike, kings?
8 Porque ele diz: Não são meus príncipes, no geral, reis?
9 Is not, Calno, like Carchemish? Is not, Hamath, like Arpad? Is not, Samaria, like Damascus?
9 Não é Calno como Carquemis? Não é Hamate como Arpade? Não é Samaria como Damasco?
10 As my hand hath reached unto the kingdoms of idols,whose images did excel them of Jerusalem and Samaria,
10 Como minha mão tem alcançado os reinos dos ídolos, cujas imagens esculpidas os faziam exceder às de Jerusalém e de Samaria;
11 Shall I not as I have done to Samaria and her idols, so, do to Jerusalem and her images?
11 não irei eu, como tenho feito para com Samaria e os ídolos dela, então fazer para com Jerusalém e seus ídolos?
12 Wherefore it shall come to passWhen My Lord shall finish his whole work upon Mount Zion and upon Jerusalem, I will bring punishmentUpon the fruit of the greatness of heart of the king of Assyria. And upon the vainglory of his uplifted eyes,
12 Por conseguinte, acontecerá que, quando o Senhor estiver realizando o seu trabalho por inteiro sobre o monte Sião e sobre Jerusalém, eu punirei o fruto do coração arrogante do rei da Assíria, e a glória de seus olhares altivos.
13 For he hath saidBy the strength of mine own hand, have I effectually wrought, And by my wisdomfor I have discernment,That I might remove the bounds of peoples, Yea their treasures, have I plundered That I might lay prostrate as a mighty one the inhabitants;
13 Porque ele diz: Pela força da minha mão eu tenho feito isto, e pela minha sabedoria; porque eu sou prudente, e tenho removido os termos dos povos e roubado seus tesouros; e eu tenho esmagado seus habitantes como um valente homem,
14 And my hand hath found as a nest the wealth of the peoples, And as the gathering of eggs that are forsaken, all the earth, have, I, gathered,And there was none to flap a wing, or open a mouth or chirp.
14 e minha mão tem alcançado, como a um ninho, os ricos do povo; e como um que ajunta ovos que são abandonados, tenho eu ajuntado toda a terra; e não houve ninguém que movesse a asa, ou abrisse a boca, ou piasse.
15 Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? Or, the saw, magnify itself, against him that wieldeth it? As if a rod, could wield, them who lift it up! As if a staff, could raise, what is, not wood!
15 Deveria o machado gabar-se contra aquele que corta, utilizando-o? Ou deveria o serrote engrandecer-se contra aquele que o faz deslizar? Como se a vara devesse se agitar contra aqueles que a erguem ou como se o bastão devesse se erguer, como se não fosse madeira.
16 Therefore, shall the Lord, Yahweh of hosts, Send, among his fat ones, leanness, And under his glory, shall he kindle a kindling, like the kindling of fire;
16 Portanto, o Senhor, o Senhor dos Exércitos enviará, entre os que são gordos, magreza. E sob a sua glória Ele acenderá uma queima, como a queima de um incenso.
17 So shall, the Light of Israel, become, a fire, And his Holy One, a flame, Which shall burn and consume his thorns and his briars, in one day;
17 E a luz de Israel será como um fogo, e o seu Santo será como uma chama. E isto queimará e devorará seus espinheiros e seus arbustos com espinhos em um dia.
18 And the glory of his forest and of his garden land, both soul and body, shall it bring to an end,And it shall be like the wasting away of a consumptive.
18 E consumirá a glória de sua floresta e de seu campo fértil. Ambos, alma e corpo. E serão como quando um porta-bandeira desmaia.
19 And, the remnant of his forest-trees, few in number, shall become,yea, a child, might describe them!
19 E o restante das árvores de sua floresta será pouco, de tal forma que uma criança possivelmente poderá desenhá-las.
20 And it shall come to pass in that day, That the remnant of Israel. And the escaped of the house of Jacob Shall, no more again, lean upon him that smote them,But shall lean upon Yahweh the Holy One of Israel, in truth.
20 E acontecerá naquele dia, que o remanescente de Israel, semelhante aos que escaparam da casa de Jacó, não mais se apoiarão sobre aqueles que os afligiram, mas eles se apoiarão sobre o SENHOR, o Santo de Israel, em verdade.
21 A remnant, shall return, The remnant of Jacob,unto the mighty GOD;
21 O remanescente retornará, o remanescente de Jacó, para o poderoso Deus.
22 For though thy people, O Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, A remnant, shall return of them,A full end decreed, bringeth in, justice, like a flood;
22 Porquanto, embora teu povo Israel seja como a areia do mar, contudo um remanescente deles retornará. A destruição decretada transbordará com justiça.
23 For, a full end and that a decreed one, is My Lord Yahweh of hosts executing in the midst of all the earth.
23 Porque o Senhor DEUS dos Exércitos fará uma destruição, determinada, no meio de toda a terra.
24 Therefore, thus, saith My Lord, Yahweh of hosts, Do not fear O my people dwelling in Zion, because of Assyria,When with his rod, he would smite thee, And when his staff, he would lift up against thee in the manner of Egypt;
24 Portanto, assim diz o Senhor DEUS dos Exércitos: Ó meu povo que mora em Sião, não esteja com medo da Assíria. Ele te golpeará com uma vara e erguerá o seu bordão contra ti, de acordo com a maneira do Egito.
25 For, yet a very little while, and displeasure shall end, Yea, mine anger, over their destruction.
25 Porque ainda em muito pouco tempo e a indignação cessará; e minha ira, na destruição deles.
26 And Yahweh of hosts, will brandish over him, a scourgeLike the smiting of Midian at the rock Oreb,And his staff being over the sea, He will lift it up in the manner of Egypt;
26 E o SENHOR dos Exércitos instigará um flagelo para ele de acordo com a matança de Midiã na rocha de Orebe. E como seu cajado estava sobre o mar, assim ele o erguerá, de acordo com a maneira do Egito.
27 And it shall come to pass, in that day, That his burden shall remove from off thy shoulder, And his yoke from off thy neck,Yea, the yoke shall be broken because of fatness.
27 E acontecerá naquele dia, que seu fardo será removido de sobre teu ombro, e teu jugo de sobre o teu pescoço, e o jugo será destruído por causa da unção.
28 He hath come in unto Ayyath, Hath passed through Migron,At Michmash, storeth his baggage:
28 Ele é chegado a Aiate, ele passa a Migrom. Em Micmás ele tem concentrado suas carruagens.
29 They have passed over the pare, Geba is his halting-place,Terror-stricken is Ramah, Gibeah of Saul, hath fled!
29 Eles atravessaram a passagem. Eles têm levantado seu acampamento temporário em Geba. Ramá está atemorizada, Gibeá de Saul fugiu.
30 Make shrill thy voice, O daughter of Gallim! Hearken, O Laishah, Answer, O Anathoth!
30 Ergue tua voz, ó filha de Galim. Faça com que esta seja ouvida até Laís, ó pobre Anatote.
31 Madmenah, hath fled,The inhabitants of Gebim, have gone into safety:
31 Madmena escapou. Os habitantes de Gebim ajuntam-se para fugir.
32 While yet to-day, in Nob, he tarrieth, He brandisheth his hand toward The mount of the daughter of Zion, The hill of Jerusalem.
32 Porque ele ainda permanecerá em Nobe naquele dia. Ele sacudirá sua mão contra o monte da filha de Sião, a colina de Jerusalém.
33 Behold! the Lord, Yahweh of hosts, is about to lop off a tree-crown, with a crash,Then shall, they who are lifted on high, be hewn down, And, the lofty, be laid low;
33 Eis que o Senhor, o SENHOR dos Exércitos, podará o galho com terror. E os grandes em estatura serão postos abaixo, e a soberba será humilhada.
34 Then will he fell the thickets of the forest with iron,And, Lebanon by a majestic one shall fall.
34 E ele porá abaixo as matas da floresta com ferro, e o Líbano cairá por intermédio de um Poderoso.
